The rapper seems to have loads of luck or should we call it an amazing brand that has companies clamouring to sign him. He currently has lucrative deals with Airtel, Guinness and now, Naira Bet.

Wow actor Jim Iyke has just pulled off biggest secret ever!

The Nollywood bad boy has just welcomed a son with a 23 year old Lithuanian woman named, Dana Kinduryte whom he has been in a secret relationship for over a year. Secret as in secret away from social media, his fans & the press.

According to the African Eye who broke the story today, the baby boy was born on September 1 at the Grady Hospital in Atlanta weighing in at 7 ½ lbs. He has already been named as Harvis Chidubem Iyke.

I am so impressed that Jim kept this hush hush following his last publicised engagement to Nadia Buari and relationship with Keturah Hamilton and we all know how those ended!

They met in London over a year ago.
Dana who’s a law graduate had no idea Jim was a famous actor until three months after they started dating.
Five months into her pregnancy, Jim moved Dana into a newly bought apartment in Atlanta where he personally cared for her away from the prying eyes of media and friends without aides or maids.
Jim was present during the birth and assisted with the delivery of the baby which was overseen by a Dr Carla Crawford.
Even his close friends & colleagues did not know he was expecting a child!

Nollywood actor, Imeh Bishop has just taken to Instagram to recount his harrowing experience aboard an Arik Air flight which he says almost crashed.

According to Bishop, the flight which was from Lagos to Uyo developed a fault while in the air as the engines started overheating, as a result, they had to return back to Lagos.

Imeh took to his page to be get saying that no explanations were offered by the airline or apologies made for the scary experience.

“ was aboard an Arik flight from Lagos to Uyo scheduled originally for 7am and rescheduled for 11am today. We were told over 35 mins mid air that the engines are over heated and we were left with no choice but to return to Lagos. I was scared, livid, frustrated yet grateful to God for a safe landing even though it was a near crash experience. Till now no arik staff has come to us to enquire as to what the case was and to proffer a possible way forward. Now that really sucks! A fragment of thought that could point to my crashing and leaving behind my sweet wife and beautiful daughter will for a long time make me say #thunderfirearik.”

President Buhari has hit the “First 100 days in office” milestone and Nigerians have taken to social media to take stock of what the Number 1 citizen has & has not achieved so far!

There seems to be mixed reactions to the president’s performance and thanks to those who are not impressed by the president, the hastag #100WastedDays is now trending on twitter, as Nigerians have used the microblogging site to vent about the Commander in Chief.

The main bone of contention appears to be that the president still hasn’t appointed a cabinet of ministers…

At the last elections many celebrities ran for office: Desmond Elliot, Kate Henshaw, Julius Agwu, 9ice, Kenny St. Brown to name a few, but if you are expecting Nollywood hottie Ramsey Nouah to run for political office at the next elections…think again.

In a recent interview with the NET he’s gone on record to declare that he has no intention of going into politics as he is not a diplomatic person.

He then went on to add that if he was offered a political appointment, he would probably take it and hope he can make a change. But running for office is nowhere in his future

I don’t know how to be political, I’m not diplomatic as such. I’m a very straight forward person, white is white, black is black for me. I don’t know how to combine words and sweet talk it like politicians do, I’m not into it.

When asked if he would accept a political appointment, he said,

If I was, I probably would, hoping that I can make a change with my position there and if i could I’ll definitely do something for my industry, but I surely won’t be running for office at all, It’s not me. My colleague Desmond Elliot is a House of reps member and he’s doing very well, he’s considerably involved Nollywood

I can’t help but wonder; what the difference is between accepting a political position & to running for one? It is still a political position at the end of it all.

For a few months now there has been a public back & forth between actor Emeka Ike & his wife Suzanne Ike which has played out in the press.

The couple have 4 gorgeous kids together and have been married for 15 years, but back in July she filed for divorce citing emotional & physical abuse at the hands of her actor husband.

In her court testimony she said,

It was when my husband beat me mercilessly I believed that people truly saw stars whenever they were unconscious. It was my brother who took me to the hospital where I spent two months. There was also a day I was feeding our last child with tea, my husband, out of anger took the tea and poured it on my head. Each time we fight, he calls me a witch saying whenever he intends to start a project and he informs me it eventually fails. He also said if he hadn’t married me, I would have become a prostitute. Since I left, he doesn’t allow me to speak with our first two children, asking me to come home if I really want to see them. Even when I was in with him, he leaves home for months on the pretext of different appointments. I can’t face all this anymore. I need help.

After the news broke Emeka denied he was getting divorced saying, “I am a Christian, we don’t divorce”

He begged his wife to come back to him while claiming he never hurt her. But Suzanne insists she doesn’t want to be married to him anymore…the divorce case is going ahead.

In the latest twist in their messy divorce case he is blaming Household of God Founder, Pastor Chris Okotie for plotting to keep his wife from him & destroy their marriage. He has released a statement blasting Okotie. The statement says,

I want people to look into this issue critically. I’ve never beaten this woman in my life. When she ran out of home, I called my pastor and they took us for counselling. For one week, I was begging her every day; I would go home alone and she would go home alone as well.
At a point, pastor asked us to write five things we like and dislike about each other. The pastor said that maybe we could work it out. I wrote mine, she wrote hers and she never said there that I used to beat her. I still have that document with me. She gave me what she wrote and I gave her what I wrote. If I used to beat her, she could not have left it out from that then. Any man that beats a woman is a coward. I know that someone somewhere must have done something to her. How can I beat a woman I adore so much? I love my family and this is very unfortunate. Her children have been begging her to come home, and she has refused.
I am pretty sure my wife is acting confused; she is acting as if she is under a spell, which is psychological and then she is acting under blackmail.
There was a time I accused her of bringing men to my house. I mean, which woman will wake her husband up in the middle of the night and said to him, share your property I want to get my share now from what you have? Tell me, which woman will do that if not acting under a spell?
There was a time I travelled and she closed down my school and sent all the students away. So, there is a lot to it, other than the allegation of battery against me and I want the whole world to know. My name is precious to me and I don’t want anything to drag it in the mud.
Pastor Chris Okotie just absolved my wife into his church without making any effort to get in touch with me. If as a pastor, your church member is having issue with her husband, and you failed to do anything to resolve it, what kind of pastor are you? When I called him, he refused to pick my call. He also failed to react to a text message I sent to him. Is that a man of God? Even, if you have a police case, they will make effort to hear from you before taking a position, not to talk of the church.
When we went to court, I told my wife that I’m interested in amicable settlement of the matter, and that I still want her back. But she refused. Even, if you don’t want me, what of your children, I asked her and she still would not listen to me. I want the whole world to know because there is a lot of misinformation out there. The lawyer which Okotie hired for my wife is also frustrating every attempt I make to resolve the matter peacefully

Actress Mercy Aigbe-Gentry has been unofficially married to Lanre Gentry for 6 years and officially for two following their courthouse wedding in December 2013. The style star who was previously married before getting with her current husband is dishing her two cents or naira on why a lot of celebrity marriages these days are failing with a capital F!.

Speaking in an interview with Naij, the actress put it down to people getting married for the wrong reasons.

She also stated that she has not yet experienced any challenges in her marriage…which is quite odd as every relationship has its own share of ups and downs.

Failed marriages are on the increase now not just Nollywood. Some people are not just ready to be married because it comes with its own challenges and people also get married for the wrong reasons.

She went on to add,

Nollywood marriages are more challenging because we are constantly in the news without being given any breathing space or privacy. Also, some journalists just get stories and are too lazy to verify such stories before publishing them. Journalist needs to know that, people are wicked and will want to get back at someone out there so, they should put their integrity in check before writing any story.

We gotta say Mercy is right, a lot of people are getting married for the wrong reasons. But is it everyone though? How come the divorce rate is a lot higher than 20/30 years ago? How come our parents made it work?

Pop duo PSquare are currently in thanksgiving mode after escaping a car accident unscathed yesterday. The scary incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday (Aug. 30), on the Lagos-Ibadan Express Way as the group and their entourage were driving back to Lagos from Ibadan where they had performed at a show the night before.

According to Peter, “a Lorry hit their maroon Range Rover, dragging it along the road for over 12 seconds”

The accident left the front windows of the SUV completely smashed in as it was taken away from the scene of the accident by the tow truck.

Thankfully everyone in the car came out unscathed. See photos from the car crash scene after the jump

Also in the car with them was P-Square band drummer & dancer Kaffy’s hubby – Papii J Ameh as well as the group’s assistant manager – Wandoskie.

Peter took to his Instagram page to send praises up for sparing them. He wrote,

Fans pls help us thank God. Myself @rudeboypsquare@papiijameh and our assistant manager@wandoskie had an accident early hours of today on our way back from a show in ibadan. Along lagos ibadan express road. A Lorry hit and dragged us for over 12 seconds. But Our Lord and Our God is always faithful and quick to show Mercy. Thank God we survived.#ThankYouLord

Noted blogger, Linda Ikeji ruffled up some feathers with her latest blog post causing her to become the Number 1 trending topic on Naija Twitter today.

It all started this morning when a supposed married woman, Ngozi Angela tweeted at her ex – James Ndu, telling him she missed him. He replied saying he did not miss her, while pointing out that she is his married ex.

Linda Ikeji who was only doing her job, posted the twitter exchange between the two on her blog, which is when all hell broke loose, with many blasting her saying it was a personal issue that could put the married woman into trouble with her husband and in laws.

However the married woman herself came on Twitter after the story was published to say she did not see anything wrong with missing an ex who was supposedly still a “friend”

Sigh….however it did not end there…There is another twist to the story.

Talk emerged that James Ndu was actually the one behind the Ngozi Twitter account. Which means this could have all been a scam…

But he has denied it, tweeting this

James Ndu is reportedly popular within the Nigerian entertainment circle..he’s into management & used to work with Flavour. It looks like we have all been misled. Did James Ndu just Catfish the whole of Nigerian Twitter? Or was this all an innoocent love story gone messy?
