cool. Let me add that a group of Nigerians in Houston, Tx. engage in the same fun activity. The kit was originally designed by a couple of engineering students at Rice University in Houston. One Black and the other Asian ![]() There is something unnatural about idol worshiping. |
Rift in Boko Haram, ‘Ansaru’ Splinter Group Emerges, Calls BH ‘Inhuman’ To Muslims This must be the ingenious work of the Israelis or the American friends ![]() There are indications that an ideological feud within the rank and file of the Boko Haram sect may have led to a breakaway faction. The new outfit calls itself ‘Ansaru.’ |
So in other words the Maitatsine religious crisis and riots in which more than 3,000 people lost their lives happened in the 90's abi ? How old are you Oga "chucks" ?
I don't have time to respond to intellectual midgets, kaji ko? Eze gbuburu of NL - the coward, nwanne, I'm sure you were not forced out of Nigeria by Maitatsine religious sect as suggested above because during the riots some people relocated to their native states while a vast majority remained in the North. Is the fool above correct that you ran away to America because of Maitatsine? If so, it is very hypocritical of you to be telling Igbos to stay put in Kano. |
Onlytruth:Eze, it appears that you are both a liar and a dolt. The extremists who you claim forced you out of Nigeria did not appear in Nigeria until the 90s, olodo. It appears Al Quaeda drove you out of Nigeria, ko? Extremists ko, ra pists ni. abeg no make me laugh. ![]() |
Onlytruth:endorse ko, expurgate ni. Cowards are endorsing millitancy from the comfort of their living rooms in diaspora. What a sisi! olodo |

This story is not yet believable because such a big story should have been carried by the big media houses, as opposed to these fly-by-night sources. |
This thread should be a confirmation of my assertion that various non Northerners, including Yorubas, people from SS and other non Igbos, participated in the house to house cold blooded murder of Igbos after Nzeogwu's coup and the killing of Sadauna. In the thread, Araba - The Pre-civil War Massacre Of Ndigbo By Non-igbos In Kaduna I told you of non Igbos living in the North who actively participated in the said attrocities. Just read the hatred of Igbos from southerners who lived in the North in this thread and weep. SMH again. |

Can't you people put your bigotry aside and allow Ikemba to be buried peacefully and allow the great Nigerian to rest in peace? This is quite shameful and troubling. |
People will always see grass root revolution from ethnic lenses depending on which ethnic group has their man as the president, thats why I have my reservations for that approach. But if you believe in it pls by every means keep hammering it until it draws enough following which will help build a huge capacity for a final showdown with the powers that be. For me I will invest my energy in bringing together the leadership of diverse groups with common interest with a view to forming a strong coalition that will be able to demand the simplest of God's gifts - freedom (if that freedom comes as Odua, Arewa, Biafra, Isoko repub then so be it). By the way, when I say "leadership of diverse groups" I dont mean political crooks in Abuja, those people in Abuja are in bed with The Man so bringing them into any coalition is suicide, they will rat you out and deliver you to the devil.
Sam_Ikenna, the bolded in blue above is the reason why recent protests against subsidy removal did not evolve into the kind of grassroots effort Cap28 was talking about. We had an excellent opportunity to demand and obtain major concessions from the government but ethnic loyalty thwarted that effort. Your idea in green above would be an excellent solution if implemented. I am very skeptical about its implementation because I believe the Abuja powers will again thwart such efforts unless you have a strong organization working outside of the country. We may just have to get in bed with the devil in order to enjoy certain amount of security, even if its just temporarily. It has become very obvious that our government organizations - Army, SSS, Police, are grossly incompetent and cannot protect us from recent security challenges. Sam_Ikenna, I'd be delighted to have people like you in a conference to discuss the future of this country. On the other hand, any conference, sovereign or not, which is arranged by the current crop of leaders, would have failed even before it started.
Onlytruth my brother, I'm not Aguyi Ironsi. ndu_chuks was fair to me so I will be fair to him, in fact even if he wasnt fair to me I'll still be fair to him but that doesn't in anyway mean I'm blind or dumb.
You shouldn't be surprised by Onlytruth's comments. A person who read all your posts and mine and chose that his most important contribution to the dialogue is to point out what he believes is the ethnic makeup of the contributors, must not be very bright. @musiwa, does the term vicarious governing ring a bell? |
mikeansy:That's a very good question. The answer may not be unrelated to the fact that the US is awaiting the OK from the Saudis that everyone's interests will be served by an American invasion of Nigeria and the Muslim North in particular. ![]() |
I have not yet read all the posts on this thread but it appears that people are jumping all over themselves at the sight of an opportunity to attack Sanusi. Anyone who believes that Sanusi's only explanation for the cause of BH is simply oil derivation, is outright dumb and dishonest. This Sanusi who you love so much to criticize, primarily because of your inferiority complex, may very well become your next President. |
When we finally let the core north have its country then we can decide what to do with ours. Yoruba dsliking Igbo or Igbo disliking Yoruba is not enough to keep our children in this hell-bound nation. Even the bible says - can two work together if they are not in agreement? Good! at least we in agreement. We agree Nigeria is heavy on our necks and we need a break so why not work together, when we get our result we can then say bye to eachother.
None of what you've stated above in achievable with the current crop of leaders who are hell bent on maintaining the status quo. These leaders do not have the will to do what you are prescribing. The Nigerian masses are not ready to make the requisite change either, so we remain screwed. It is not enough to say we need a break and call for us to work together, when our common enemy retains power and control. If you have any concrete and workable plans of taking power away from these people, lets hear it. West African or Nigerian spring is not in the horizon. Academic analysis cannot replace practical solutions and so far, you have offered no practical or workable path towards achieving your stated goals. I must confess that I feel your pain. |
Look at it now this work we just completed in Kano, even after we have finished completely, the police came deliberately and started shooting and killing citizens and blaming it on us. God witnessed it and we want it to be so, He is the only one that can punish us and he sees to judge if the ordinary citizens were killed by us or not.
The above is very plausible. It is quite easy to believe that after BH bombed those government installations, the untrained and undisciplined police went on a rampage shooting and killing anything in sight and mistaking ordinary citizens trapped in the area for BH members. In the meantime the real BH culprits had already left the location and accomplished their mission. The same incompetence and indiscipline by the police was seen in Kano yesterday when citizens including pregnant women and children were killed because they violated the curfew and were thus suspected to be BH members! No one bothered to ask the police how they informed the residents of Kano, many of who do not have access to media announcements, what the curfew rules are. SMH |
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ndu_chuks nwanne, the most realistic and practical person you'll ever find is me. We are trying to find solutions with minimal casualties, thats all. There is no biggie in accepting the obvious - we are not one and never will. As long as I'm alive I will always look for solutions to poverty, misery, and carnage. Unfortunately core north has become the nucleus of the bolded and therefore I feel no shame in seeking for the solution. Whether you like it or not we all need our spaces and we will get it, enough of you breathing down our necks like we are your little children. I believe the whole core north is not involved in Boko Haram. However, it is my understanding that only core north can solve it and that's why we should allow you guys to solve it Arewa Republic way. I may be delusional to you but not to people from my own side of the divide because they are the ones smelling your breathe around their necks. Like I always say, I love you and I want the best for you but its time for me to pursue my destiny without you as my country man. We've been in the same ship anchored in the pacific with no navigation equipment for over 50 yrs, I'm tired of it and nothing will stop me from jumping into the next available ship be it canoe or tuketuke. Whether you are the cause of this ship's predicament is immaterial at this point, save your energy and i'll advice you look for the second available canoe and jump in to.
I maintain that you suffer from a disconnect from the realities on ground and are delusional in your pronouncements. Your idealism is only good for college term papers, sadly. It suffices for now, to point out that the "core North" who you claim is the nucleus of poverty, misery, and carnage in our land could not have carried out the acts of becoming this nucleus successfully, without their co-conspirators in the South. You have dishonestly refused to acknowledge the active participation of these southerners. My question to you is why? The issue at hand is completely related to power and control. The Nigerian elite, who hail from North, South, East, and West currently have the power and rule you people. In order to achieve your stated goal, power must first be wrestled out of the hands of these people. You had a chance to make some progress with recent protests but the powerful elite castrated you before you could gain any ground. It is essentially impossible to tear this country apart peacefully without first wrestling power away from the government. Your next option is the intervention of the military. Here again, you will fail woefully. A coup is not possible in Nigeria at the moment because all the officers around the country who can carry it out have been bought and paid for, the rest of them have been retired by OBJ. The future is looking more and more like a Nigeria controlled by 3 competing interests (1) USA (2) Saudi Arabia (3) China. We are basically fcked for now. Sam Ikenna, you are delusional, don't take my observation as an insult, biko nu. |
auwal87:That man is not well liked in my neck of the woods either. We stoned him in Zaria a few years ago. ![]() |
Fact 1: A few days ago there were massive protests in Kano because of the removal of fuel subsidy. Fact 2: These protests were stopped cold by purported "BH attacks" Fact 3: The masses, majority of who were participants in the said protests are now being killed willy nilly by the same government who is supposed to be protecting them. SMH |
Quite a few delusional posts here. Negro_Ntns and Sam_Ikenna suffer from a very negative disconnect from the realities on ground. I dey laugh o. |
Dede1:kai Mallam Dede1! ![]() You have to remember that without the help of foreign friends among other strategies, biafran troops would have lasted longer during the civil war. I submit to you that we are at war and any help to defeat the enemy should be more than welcomed. |
df2006:My interest is Nigeria, unlike you whose loyalty lies with a non existent nation. olodo. Nigeria is at war and we can't afford to lose the war. BTW Happy New Year. ![]() |
tyson55:Are you kidding me?? Ali Mungono should be arrested immediately and placed under arrest with other captured BH members! How dare he second guess the government in this matter? Our armed forces and police are capable of protecting our country the way the've protected Kano, Abuja, Bornu, and other areas ko? I suppose the funds he looted when he was Petroleum Minister has not yet been exhaused. I'd place the man under investigation and arrest his A$s if I were GEJ. Nonsence and ingredients! ![]() |
Our nation may be going to hell in a hand basket o. The country home of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, in Ogbubagbene Community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, was on Tuesday morning bombed by suspected armed robbers (Boko Haram |
I'm very interested in the thoughts of a NLer, FACE, in this matter. I wonder where he disappeared to, hope he is not stuck in Kano? ![]() |
Dede1:I'll appreciate some explanation of the bolded above. Please expantiate on the 'certain people' and their actions during the war. I know you never shy away of speaking the truth. |
PapaBrowne:Let me remind you that Boko Haram is no Al Quaeda. Our government simply succeeded in embolden a bunch of thugs and terrorists by letting them kill Nigerians with impunity hence turning them into the monster they've become. I maintain that they can be significantly weakened within 1 month. Unfortunately, fighting corruption and guiding the nation towards true federalism has to take a back seat to defeating BH. The government is completely crippled and must fight these terrorists using all the intelligence help she can obtain from friends such as the French, USA, Israeli, and others. We need offensive moves from the C in C- the cat is already out of the bag!! Helloooooo, we are at war! @Kuroji, I find it difficult to disagree with your post. Beaf:Welcome back from the delusional world. I agree with your post but you must agree that none of the prescriptions you've offered can be implemented without first defeating these BH thugs and bring back peace and civility to the nation. I wonder what is preventing GEJ from doing what seems quite obvious to most people. |
