Moscodeman: Pls admin,my uncle in germany wants to send me an invitation, the problem is that i dnt have money in my acct for the past 3months and cant afford to lodge money now that d invitation is about to enta,i'm married with two kids.but i want to make him my sponsor, what are my chances of getin a visa? For the invitation letter to work, you have to proof that you have strong ties here in Nigeria. Business, plots of land, company...the list is endless. Something to show you're not going to abscond at the end of the day. And your documents will have to even proof what he's inviting you to do in Germany whether tourism or business. I will advise you to check their website for the list of the required documents or Go and check the travel section, list of required documents for a visa. An invitation letter is not a letter of sponsor, you will still need to proof to them that you can still take care of you and your family if you're going with them. And for an account with no money in it for the past 3 months is a red light for you alone or you with your family. And if the statement of account shows that money was transfered so urgent in it, it will be declared money lodgement. The blunt truth is that your chances are in the minimal... |
I see you abiegirl... |
oluwaniyin: IF YOU DON'T ANSWER THIS QUESTION ASAP, I AM GOING TO CLOSE THIS THREAD. GOT THATNext time you ask such questions, wait for a reply. You don't have to flood the thread. Otherwise go back a few pages to get your answer... GTB Bank : Go to any GTB bank or diamond bank and open an Euro Domicilary account(a type of current account). Usually you need referees for you to open with GTB. Someone that did with Diamond told me it was much easier thats why I mentioned them. Getting referees can be hard because they require current account holders. Once you present the referees, the account opened for you will be activated for transanctions. Go to the Local markets (Those that change money), make sure its a trusted seller. Euro is currently between 225 - 227 depending on the seller. I bought at 225. Exchange the money equivalent of the blocked account in Euro in your current account. Then go to your bank and transfer. Take note of the IBAN number during transfer because it surely matters. Your bank will give you forms to fill and You transfer by bits due to CBN policy. After transfer, do collect the Telex copy as proof of your transfer. Wait for like 3 - 5 days, the deutsch bank will send you a confirmation that your account has been credited. |

RIA does it according to their website and they have agents in Nigerian banks.Have you used RIA before? I only used RIA to recieve money. I don't know of International Money transfer through that channel...but someone advised that Euro domicilairy account is safer. |

The South African Nobel-prize-winning author Nadine Gordimer, one of the literary world's most powerful voices against apartheid, has died at the age of 90, her family say. Gordimer died peacefully at her Johannesburg home on Sunday evening in the presence of her children, Hugo and Oriane, a statement from the family said. Born in Gauteng, South Africa, in 1923 to immigrant European parents, Gordimer was awarded the Nobel prize for literature in 1991 for novels and short stories that reflected the drama of human life and emotion in a society warped by decades of white-minority rule. Many of her stories dealt with the themes of love, hate and friendship under the pressures of the racially segregated system that ended in 1994, when Nelson Mandela became South Africa's first black president. She was called one of the great "guerrillas of the imagination" by the poet Seamus Heaney, and a "magnificent epic writer" by the Nobel committee. Gordimer became active in the then banned African National Congress after the Sharpeville massacre, and was one of the first people Mandela asked to see when he was released in 1990. "She cared most deeply about South Africa, its culture, its people and its on-going struggle to realize its new democracy," the family statement said. She had three books banned under the apartheid regime's censorship laws, along with an anthology of poetry by black South African writers that she collected and had published. The first book to be banned was A World of Strangers, the story of an apolitical Briton drifting into friendships with black South Africans in segregated Johannesburg in the 1950s. In 1979 Burger's Daughter was banished from the shelves for its portrayal of a woman's attempt to establish her own identity after her father's death in jail makes him a political hero. In later years, Gordimer became a vocal campaigner in the HIV/AIDS movement, lobbying and fund-raising on behalf of the Treatment Action Campaign, a group pushing for the South African government to provide free, life-saving drugs to sufferers. Nor did she shy away from criticising the ANC under Jacob Zuma, expressing her opposition to a proposed law which limits the publication of information deemed sensitive by the government. "The reintroduction of censorship is unthinkable when you think how people suffered to get rid of censorship in all its forms," she said in an interview last month. source : www.theguardian.com/books/2014/jul/14/nadine-gordimer-dies-90-johannesburg-nobel-prize?CMP=twt_gu |
