Try get a sponsor that earns more. Or better still look for another sponsor that you can combine to that your friends own, to make it 2 sponsors. Meaning you will have 2 sets of sponsorship documents. You should be fine with that. Shesthatgirl: Hey guys. I’m new here. Pls I am also applying and I have a sponsor but her salary is 400k. Pls is this too small for a sponsor? She’s 34 years old and she’s a banker but she’s my best friend. Pls is her salary too small to be a sponsor and her age too, is the sponsor meant to be an old person? |

So are you saying a double address will be needed? If that's the case; Put your Polish School address as the secondary address. But that transcript must be sent to MoE. You should be able to talk your Nigeria University thru to ensure they send it to MoE, Abuja tizzdi: they can send to MOE and even to my mail but it must be addressed to a particular school if not they wont send |

If a 40yr old can get admission for BSc and as well get VISA then you have no issue. fabregasss: Please is it advisable to go for a Bachelor degree at the age of 33yrs with WAEC acquired in 2006.
I had a Bachelor in Engineering tho, but most school often demand for 60% of CGPA which I didn't get.
Any advice would be appreciated |

Have you tried sending it to the Ministry of Education? If not. Send it to the Ministry of Education, Abuja (8th Flour Specifically). Tell your school that the Ministry of Education has requested for it for verification & Authentication. Once it's sent; Go there, with you BSc. Certificate and NECO/WAEC + your International Passport for Identification and collect it. Do your Authentication at once. That's all NOTE: Don't let your school know that the Transcripts will end up in your hands. tizzdi: yes it’s masters degree. my school has blatantly refused that option. they say they only send to recognized higher institutions and nothing else the main issue now is them addressing the transcript to a particular school and that means i must come back and apply again for transcripts if i am to apply to another school. so that simply means if i am applying to 10 schools i’d have to apply 10 times as they are addressing each to the particular school even though she agreed to send it to my mail |

Apt. Those who have ears; let them hear blessednendowed: Please note guys the problem with self sponsor is not that you cannot use self sponsorship. The issue is that self sponsorship can get complex and wrap you into a lot of mess if you do not handle it with care. Why? Because when you are self sponsoring you also have to show the source and you have to show continuous access to the required funds you need for your entire studies.
Having A sponsor with employment and using their payslip for example shows the embassy that there will be continuous access to funds needed for your entire studies because this person is a salary earner so there will be consistent income coming in.
Let me enlighten you on why self sponsorship gets complicated ok:
1. If you are self sponsored and you use payslips. This means you currently have a job. Therefore if you are going to use your own payslips, then you have to also accompany that with a leave of absence from work (meaning your boss has to permit you leaving for studies) and you have to proof that your job will still be guaranteed available to u when u return back to nigeria. Then remember that leave of absence has to be a a paid leave of absence because you have to show you will continue earning a salary even while you are away on studies. You see how complex it gets when you are self sponsored.
2. Now if you are self sponsored and use credit card you still have to some how show how you got this money. Additionally, if you are using credit card and self sponsoring and you show enough money on the card for 1 year for example what happens to the other years of study how will you fund that. Do you see how self sponsorship may be complicated.
3. The one way I have seen self sponsorship kind of work and someone made mention of it here too I think @necz is if for example you if you get a credit card in your name and perhaps get a notarized letter from a sponsor stating within the letter that she or he funded your cc with the required amount. In essence it just helps to show the source of your funds.
Guys self sponsorship can be done but it gets messy if not properly handled as a result lots of denials occur with self sponsorship. Having A sponsor just makes things easier....
I hope it makes sense now.. |

Have you authenticated them at the MoE, and MoFA? That's the most important thing you need to do. Not court certification harkintem: I’m grateful for the information you provided, it really helps a lot. I have certified my transcripts from the high court already ( I took the original transcript to the high court and I made photocopy of the transcript, the court stamp and signature on the photocopy), plus I got the hard copy directly from my university with the sch stamp and the registrar signatory on the document. I think with this I’m good to go right |

You don't need to prove home ties as a student. Your sponsor alone is enough to fill in that gap. You have to take your SSCE (WAEC or NECO) results along. Also take a means of ID Card along preferably International Passport. ChangetheChange: Guys that have done attestation of documents already, I need ur feedback.
I am applying for masters, do I need to also include my SSCE results alongside my BSC Transcript for attestation to MOE and MOF and legalisation at Polish embassy. Or I should just attest only BSC documents. |

blessednendowed just told you the truth but you're asking him for evidence? Is he the Minister of Education? Have you even been following this group at all? Have you seen anyone do Authentication in any other state apart from Abuja? Misleading people is very costly even when you mean no harm. The only place you can Authenticate is MoE and MoFA in Abuja. And the Embassy knows that; so any other signature and stickers different from the approved one will be rejected. There is no 2 ways about it. May our effort not be worthless o. You can check the MoE's website https://ess.education.gov.ng/ lindasweden: Can you back your statement with some proof to make it valid? Proof me wrong with evidence, please. Was it written in the Polish embassy website or any Polish University website that one can only get his/her eligibility documents from Abuja only and not other states within Nigeria? Is the ministry of education in Lagos and/or other states in Nigeria fake? Statements without proof cannot be regarded as valid. The fact that everyone is doing it in Abuja doesn't mean that the ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs in every other state in Nigeria are all fake. if they were all fake they wouldn't exist at the first place. Thank you. |

90% of those going to Poland make use of scanned copies sent to them by the school and the Embassy certainly would not have any issues with that. The most important thing is that the documents were issued by the school because the Embassy will call the school up to confirm. Designnerd: Thanks for your response

Please avoid student depot if you know you're not financially buoyant. Once you get to Poland with their contract, you have to pay and you can't leave their dorm without completing the duration you agreed on staying. The only way for you to leave their dorms before completing the specified duration is when you get someone to replace or take your room and then pay you off. So be careful Refix: The school has no hostel. I see them recommend studentdepot.pl |

I won't advice that she self sponsor herself whether BSc or MSc.........It's better she looks for a sponsor. Self sponsorship worked last year till early this year; But from March till this moment, I haven't heard of anyone who self-sponsored that got WIZA. With self sponsorship; you have to prove that you have a steady source of income to cater for the subsequent years beyond the initial amount in your CC. All those who self-sponsor that I've come across recently had to later use a Sponsor to appeal or re-apply afresh again. Self Sponsorship + Work sponsorship (Study leave from the Office where you work with other documents) is another option which I've also seen people use as well. It worked for some people and for some it didn't. The surest route is to find and use a Sponsor; and if you wonna improvise with the self-sponsorship, you can get the CC in your name but make sure your sponsorship letter is in your sponsors name. This way the sponsor will state that he has funded your CC Account bla bla bla. It's better you give to Caeser what belongs to Caeser and give to the Embassy what belongs to the Embassy to avoid stories, stress and spending more than you have budgeted. I hope this helps. BlessUp blessednendowed: Pls note polish Embassy does not like the use of foreign sponsors for whatever reason. So if she does not have any Nigerian based sponsor Then I will suggest you fund a cash back credit card in her name at any first bank or access bank in Nigeria . Then she request that they give her a certificate of credit card limit in her name upon request. This way she can come across as self sponsored.
If she is going for bsc I will strongly recommend You try to get a Nigerian based sponsor . History has shown.that the embassy prefers bsc candidates to have a sponsor (Nigerian based) |

You don't have to be confused. Well, it depends on how you prepare yourself. It is important that you get the documents ready before booking an appointment; But make sure that you secure an appointment date within that same month when you receive the documents. This is because you have to submit the most recent Pay Slips and Certificate of Employment. So imagine you get the documents this month which is June and you couldn't book an appointment till August. That means you will need to get an additional pay slip for July which is the most recent. But if you sponsor is within your reach and he can easy prepare the documents with a day or two, then you can wait till you book an appointment before you get the documents. So decide on what's best for you. Also note that you will be given 2 additional weeks to provide any additional documents should in case you unable to submit all on your submission date. I hope this helps. Modupeoluwa123: Hello, so sorry I’m quoting this particular message. I want to ask, can I get financial documents from my sponsor and keep? I just got admission and I paid tuition today, can I get the payslip and employment letter ready before calling for visa date? Or I need to get a date first before getting the document?. I’m confused. |

My brother.........Just ignore him. He's just a kid; Looking for children to play with iamadonis2: My dear EngrJamJam,
I, like everyone else here, have seen your comments. It is imperative that we remind ourselves of some solid facts,
1. Stop already with the entitlement mentality! You are not Polish by birth. You are a Nigerian hoping to be given a chance to benefit from a system that the people of poland built from the ground up. TWICE! It is solely their prerogative to deny or accept your visa application. It is not your right.
2. All of us here are hopefuls. While we may not know the best practices for getting a Polish visa we are merely here to try our luck out. What we do may lead to acceptance or rejection. It is hope we are riding on. Have you been on the Germany student visa thread?! Rejection isn't synonymous with Polish visa alone, Sir.
3. You would do well to remember that this is a public forum. Anyone can visit this thread. You think it is beyond the VO to visit Nairaland and see comments like yours? You know your true intentions and I know mine. It will do you good to tune down your motivation. Be sure to consider that your words may well rub off on how everyone else here is perceived.
Polish visa is not your birthright. |
