But we heard things changed around December/ last month due to the new lockdown rules.

I also heard of a guy who was turned back at the point of entree in Poland and was forced to fly back to Nigeria. The guy even posted it here on this Poland thread.

So things dey happen o. But I guess the guy was just unluck to have met a strict border officer.

No it’s not always like that... you can come to Poland one month or five weeks into your resumption date...
One of my friends I helped through your the process is here in Poland now; he came in second week of January and he’s to resume by March...

So once you have visa and you’re checked; you’re free to go... no one will send you back... if they didn’t want you to travel they’ll hold your visa still to a week before resumption...

You're going for studies I believe; If your School resumes on March 1st. Then the mindset of the border authorities is that you have no business yet in Poland till like a week to your resumption date.

So please don't book your flight earlier than the date Kid7soccer has stated.

How much was on the Payslip you used?

Also, which city are you going to? That could also be a factor to consider when using a payslip. If you're going to big cities like Warsaw or Wroclaw. Please don't go and use payslip of 300k or 400k oo. Look for a sponsor who earns higher i.e; 500 - 800k

I believe you will get your VISA, if you do the needful.

I used a sponsor for the payslip but it was deemed insufficient by the embassy, I then moved the money into my account for the appeal

But for the fact that I have like 5 persons I am helping currently as they're planning to appeal/re-apply again; Yes, I have the understanding of why and why most of you here get outright rejection due to mistakes such as the one i responded to. If you fail to comply with the requirements that the Embassy has stated on their website. Then sorry; It's an absolute Rejection. I repeat, NA REJECTION. No need to sugarcoat anything here.

So dear friend follow their requirements and rest.

Depends on the country...Some countries do not issue employment certificates because they do exist in some countries, so depends.

The actually do not need Employment Letter.

What the Embassy wants is the Employment Certificate and Payslips of 3 Months, with the sponsors ID Card.

And yes, you can attach a letter explaining your plight as regards not getting the handwritten signature due to COVID19 restrictions at work. Give it a shot

Better still use another Sponsor with handwritten signature on the documents. Simple

I read this post and I comprehended it and gave my view about it...
All you needed to do was just to tell me that, he has a letter which didn’t include the timeline for joining them.
Then I’d have retracted my word “misleading”...
But then you were always going to come with fire... no problem...

By comprehension; nonetheless, you’ll see that I already solved anyone’s problem by just a single post... so if someone or people with different issues related to extension letter reads just my single post already knows what to do...
I don’t just read to reply just one person; I address every situation that could be a product of that problem...

It's better he get it now if the school is ready to give him as it could determine his visa outcome.

Except if the grace given by the Embassy to submit additional document is after his resumption date. without that it's a sorry case

Don't just contribute without understanding the circumstance around an issue.

First of all; The school didn't state on the admission letter that classes will take place online neither has the school intimated us whether classes will be online. If it was stated on the letter, then that would have been a different case.

If your school has resumed and you’re taking classes with them...
Your visa won’t be rejected... perhaps all you need to do is to ask your school for a letter; and in this pandemic period your school must’ve written it in the letter they sent already thy you’re allowed to join them as the situation deprives people equal opportunity to meet up in physical classes...

In my time; my school resumed October 1st my appointment date was on October 23, 2020; and I didn’t have to ask my school for another letter cos we’re in pandemic period and it was written in my letter that I can join... in as much your admission is valid it’s good... and I got my visa around November ending. I traveled in the first week of December... so worry less and go through the letter the school sent in the first place and check if it’s written there “if you’re allowed to join them anytime after resumption date” otherwise ask for a letter; in as much you’re an active student they’ll surely give you visa if other documents checks out and are valid.
Sorry for the lengthy note; just had to clear that...

It seems you still not getting it.

First of all; not all schools states that there would be an online mode of study in their Admission Letter.

Secondly, even if you apply for visa today being 8th Feb; you should know that your visa ain't gonna be ready before 1st of March which is most schools resumption date. Hence the need for an extension letter. Student VISA now takes 4-6 weeks, and if we go by that; your visa collection date will be between 10th March - 24 Mar. which is way late from your resumption date.

Pls don't tell me you still don't understand this.

Yes, you need the extension letter as you can not resume with the school on the resumption date (1st of March) due to the late visa processing which will take about 5 to 6 weeks. So presumably, your visa will be out between 8 - 20th of March which is late.

Make sure you get that letter or ELSE.......You know what that means

A lot of people have gotten their VISA with just a Notarized Sponsorship Letter with unnotarized payslips. So your assertion is wrong.

2. You can translate your documents to Polish Language in Nigeria and then Legalize it in Poland. But ask your school first if they can allow you to come and Legalize it in Poland.
