Good you have reduced or stopped beer. Beer is not good for your kidneys. It is also high in purines which cause high uric acid and gout. Also elevated urea in the blood. Yogurt is good, but as usual, taken in excess is another matter. I hear it is good for your kidneys as it gives the opposite effects of beer. Also good for metabolism. I dont even know if the Hollander one is natural or heavily sweetened. If it also contains saturated fat. Anyway, the best thing you can do for yourself is have the habit of drinking water rather. Have packs of bottle water at home. As for me, I even keep a pack in my booth. I drink minimum of 6 bottles daily. Just try it. I assure you, after 1 month, you will thank me. Even you skin texture and color will change. Also op. Reduce your meat intake. Take more of fish and chicken. |

Canvass: France is at it again, destabilizing any government that does not favor them across Francophone Africa. Muhammad Buhari, how market now? You deliberately tried developing Niger so can retire there if Nigerians give you any wahala. Are you still relocating? You sabi. African countries for the past few years have wisened up and getting rid of the colonialist. Rather they are embracing, Russia, China, turkey and other mutually benefiting countries. Countries like China that needs resources Africa has, but making sure Africa benefits through things like infrastructure, factories, trainings, education. Paying a fair price. Russia too is providing security the colonialist eluded African countries, because it favors colonialist for instability to be there. Example is Mali that has fought radical Islam for a while with French troops yet no progress until the Russians came in. As usual, the west will provide training for African troops as a means to have a Trojan horse to use when they wish to overthrow a sitting government. |

Nobody has publicly associated with Ibori since he returned from prison abroad until Tinubu invited him to Aso Rock.
Same way Tinubu invited Asari Dokubo and he’s now feeling larger than life.
How can you hate criminals but you love and support Tinubu? Well said bro. People we were not hearing of before now have "mouth". Look at ibori. Imagine Asari threatening a sitting governor, telling him he will "collect", promising instability worse than Boko Haram. Also brandishing assault rifles, yet Dss, army, man o war, navy, roadsafety, fireservice, Nepa, boys and girls scout, lastma etc have not gone after him. He even had the audacity to claim his Army was in support of Tinubu. NO BE JUJU BE THAT? One hopes this government will step aside from gangsterism, mafia etc. You have the bosses ie politicians, you have the gangstas ie tax collectors, you then have the enforcers ie Asari, mc oluomo etc. |

I couldn't believe my eyes seeing the report on Channels TV. That may be the reason they see Northerners as cows, all they see is meat, not human beings. 7lives: Agreed but it's an education loan, it should be given to those who deserves it. That is where inconsistencies come in. If you are giving such educational loans, remove bottle necks from it. It is a loan not grant. Let it be handled by professional banks if possible. It should be the right of every youth of certain age. If you know how naija works, you will see all these "does" and "don'ts" are just there as a mine field to sabotage and disqualify most of the intended beneficiaries. They have made political promise to give loans, they will then use technicality to disqualify most students. |

FreeStuffsNG: “A student can be disqualified from accessing loan if:
“1. He is proven to have defaulted in respect of any previous loan granted by any organisation.
“2. He has been found guilty of exam malpractice by any school authority.
“3. He’s convicted of felony or any office involving dishonesty or fraud.
“4. He has been convicted of drug offenses.
“5. Any of his parents has defaulted in respect of student’s loan or any loan granted to him or her,” Alake was quoted as saying
Nice compilation. I support this.
FG should add and forbid students involved in cyberbullying , internet fraud and failure to meet minimum of 3.0 CGPA and in not more than two consecutive sessions.
No Federal university which admits mediocre students like university of Calabar, UNICAL,does in its business of admitting failed JAMB candidates with 140 out of 400, should be placed on the scheme to avoid the kind of massive failure being reported in UNICAL because of its culture of admitting mediocre JAMB candidates.
Nigerian taxpayers money should be for only serious Nigerian students and not be spent on unrepentant chronic lazy, idle, mediocre , unpatriotic, cyberbullies and criminal defamers. Check my signature for free stuffs! Oga, it is loan and not a grant. It will be paid back likely with interest and not free. It is not a favor. |

That was why then if you were owing in one app and wanted to get from another it will reject. Carbon even had rating companies in their app. Nigerians that think they are smart, it is now you will see lots of people disqualified because of loans apps money they refused to pay. |

DenreleDave: To all nairalanders that I have offended be it in response to a tribal attack or being the instigator of one, I, with all my whole heart apologize to you all.
Back then, most nairalanders can testify, I use to be a very loving & engage meaningful things on nairaland until Yoruba & Igbo tribal issue started which I unfortunately fell for it. Ever since I have been engaging myself in this conflicts, I have regretted it. I don't know what happened but I know it started online but I have no excuse. I was wrong to have fell for such.
Igbos: I have offended you much more than others because of the online tribal war & superiority between us. You are the main reason I am creating this thread because my greatest offenses are against you mainly due to tribe issues.
Yorubas: I have not offended much in terms of politics but I probably other sections on nairalander that I have erred against you, my apologies.
Other tribes: I apologize to you all be it tribal, political views, business or whatsoever on nairaland.
It will be my greatest undoing if I, having being a beneficiary of igbos, Yorubas & Hausa be engaged in tribal war further more.
On the same nairaland, many igbos (for real: I mean many igbos in reality) have been very good to me, they have helped me without considering the tribal war between the two tribes, those igbos I truly commend them.
My fellow Yorubas have been of great favor to me, so many many many and many more likewise other Nigerians on nairaland.
For this reason, today being 24/July/2023 will be the day I will no more engaged in tribal conflict not engage people with insults on nairaland. Good & helpful people are much on nairaland and as someone who is growing, conflict can't help me.
Ndi Igbos on nairaland: I apologize mostly to you. I assure you that our disagreement only start and ends online but henceforth, I will no longer be indulge in such disgraceful & demeaning acts again.

mariovito: Other business people can quickly adjust their charges and fee to meet whatever the prevailing economic realities are.
Not same for salary earners.
Salary increase may take long to come for those who get it. And in most cases, the increment won't do much. You are right business people can adjust, but they too have limitations. When they raise prices, can people pay? Majority of their customers are salary people. I will give two examples, 1. DSTV Premium back in 2013 was ₦7000 or $50 @₦140. Today, DSTV premium is ₦24500 equivalent to $30 @₦800. I used to charge 50k for a service I provided few years ago. It gave me $354. Today, I charge 140k which gives me $175. If I charge 283k to give me equivalent of what I earned in $$ before, Who go fit pay? Meanwhile cost of equipment keep skyrocketing due to the exchange rate, clearing fees. How do we replace those tools of trade? |

April396949: It is interesting to see that Shettima has been chosen to represent Tinubu at the UN and Russia-Africa Summits. This decision shows the confidence and trust that Tinubu has in Shettima's abilities to effectively represent his interests at such high-level international events. It also reflects the recognition of Shettima's diplomatic skills and knowledge in global affairs.
Shettima's presence at these summits is significant as it provides an opportunity for him to engage with global leaders and stakeholders, promoting Nigeria's interests and exploring potential collaborations and partnerships. This representation not only sheds light on Tinubu's commitment to Nigeria's international engagements but also highlights the strategic importance of these summits for the nation.
With Nigeria facing numerous challenges, ranging from security concerns to economic issues, having a representative like Shettima in key global platforms allows for a broader perspective on these issues. Shettima's involvement could lead to important discussions and potential solutions being brought forth for Nigeria's benefit.
Ultimately, it will be interesting to see how Shettima effectively utilizes this opportunity to advance Tinubu's agenda at the UN and Russia-Africa Summits, ultimately contributing to Nigeria's international standing and development.

If your income is low, you could also get exempted from the fee. Plus the federal government gave 270 euros last semester to help every students, including international students. Reno should be lying to you guys. Are you minding that charlatan, Reno? All those fees he mentioned are fees for foreign students. Most universities in core European countries are tuition free for their students. Some extend it even to foreigners. Eg Germany. UK home student fees rangers from 3k to 9k. Don't forget you can get student loans covering the whole fees, which you start paying once you graduate and earn over a benchmark. If I remember right, once you earn over 25k. The ghana fees he quoted is for also foreign student, it is actually about a quarter of that for locals while foreigners pay 3-5k usd. Russia is averagely 4-6k for foreign student, locals pay almost nothing. |
