7lives: Very good, people don't want to use their brains so everyone is either running away to abroad or Lagos. Lagos is now a concrete jungle, its about the survival of the fittest, law of the jungle.Hey men.....GOD Bless you! I dont care what ethnic group you belong to, I dont even need to ask......... We need people like you in Lagos. People who understand true democracy and challenge it to work for the people. |
eldoradoxx: I don't think that most Nigerians get this policy right!!! Fashola's govt has been illegally deporting Nigerians of other states who are caught begging in Lagos. There is nothing wrong with govt banning street begging(even where same govt has failed to provide for her citizens) but there is everything wrong with deporting these beggars to their states!!! The constitution says every citizen has right to live anywhere in Nigeria. Now what guarantees us that with the introduction of resident identity card that non lagos residents like me can be free to come to Lagos to do my business without molestation and as an expression of my constitutional right. Who is a Lagos resident, what entitles a man to be Lagos resident. The man also talks about illegal aliens and foreigners,. Lagos state or any state in Nigeria has absolutely no right to determine the legality or otherwise of a foreigner in Nigeria, that is Federal matter done by Immigrations service, a Nigerian citizen cannot also be an alien or reside illegally in Lagos for whatsoever reason!!!When you cross the Niger, whether at northen boundary, middle boundary or eastern boundary or southern.......you are out of Biafra and Arewa and immigrating into the Yoruba commonwealth of Nations. |
Una still dey here? lmao! When you cross the Niger you are in another country. Make sure you have ID to explain yiur presence and business in Lagos. |
Onlytruth: My dear ndu_chucks and Negro_nts, with all due respect both of you are wrong, but I can understand that a normal person can be confused if they are not Igbo.Trust me, no one who has lived or interacted with Igbo that will deny witnessing what you described as a true Igbo behavioral code. Although I know you all take pride in feistiness as a show of strength, you neglect to observe that this is what sets you apart from the rest cultures and people and why your presence in their midst is viewed with contempt. Feistiness is an outward translation for emotions that could not find the proper outlet to express itself. Even when in a good mood, a deaf person will still come on with forcefull expression that is mis-interpreted as anger. His handicap forces in him the need to be understood and when he is not the frustration is visible. You are not a deaf population,so where is the resson for your frustration? In your closing you said "please understand us". Do you think others don't understand you and only by display and show of chaos......which you proudly labeled as "fierceness".....will you be understood? Your chaotic manners is what people detest. You are not naturally orderly at all. I have spent timeless posts encouraging and calling on you to implement a transformative idea for a "new brand". For someone who jollies in chaotic behaviors I dont believe you are ready for change, and Im wasting my time. Order must reign here in NL because as I said there are many other people here whose culture is vehemently opposed to chaos. When you display yourself publicly like this you violate their fine senses and cause them to block instead of cooperating with you. You call yourself democrat/republican, so where is your political acumen? Lastly, in ENYI, is the last letter a capital i as in "India" or a lower case l as in "lagos"? |
Yes, which song was it? |
Odua is moving forward..... When you cross the Niger you are in a different country.
|
Fashola is now doing what weve been asking him to do for ages. Military era started all this nonsense where they begin make non indigenes governor for Lagos. They did not understand Yoruba culture and opened the state anyhow to all these nonaenae and now yanmiris think thats the normal. No it is not, the sons of the soil are back in control and shuttig it down. |
Here's whhy you need ID card.....
|
Ibqn, In the history of United States, federal is responsuble for border demarcation. What truly is the reason why any society, whether at a local level ,state level or even on a higher scale, federal level, would want to limit access to their geographival region? |
seanet01: This is why i said we diasporans should not abandoned our fatherland. If you have been taken time to come home at good intervals from 99 till date then you will have know ACN is miles ahead of Pdp when it comes to good governance.Hey seanet, Thats a yanmiri mulatto. ...dont buy that "my mommy is yoruba" nonsense. |
Ibnqasale, What exactly do you mean when you remark that Lagos is politically biased? What kind of thought went into such a warped conclusion. Politically, what is Lagos? Mind you, Lagos is older than Nigeria. |
Una still dey here? Na wah o! |
CuntDestroyer: at least no yorubish in ASO ROCK...lol, been there, done it....dont want it for now! |
CuntDestroyer: am proud of my German, Irish, Jewish and yes Romanian (Dracula vampire), mother side : spanish (brazillian), creole, Nigerian heritage......i hope you know your nigerian heritage well. igbos are the most discriminative mthfvkrs on the planet....they have freeborn, slaveborn society. You will be deported from Lagos to Gabon untill village elders can determine if you are osu or not and may your God help you that they dont mistake you for albino.....your a*s will be tossed in the forest. |
CuntDestroyer: GEJ Should send JTF to LAGOS ASAP to check this id10ts they are waging a secession movement and by God it will be granted but it should not come cheap. Blood most spill........which Gej, this one.......? dude got his own problem to deal with, he could care less about Fashola or Lagos.
|
CuntDestroyer: tribal monkeylol... . dont worry, the mods are coming after you. |
REALITY101: Lmao @ number of hidden post on first page...i love when the mods start on their housekeeping and collapse the posts....but sometimes they get confused and lost on the definition and meaning of bigotry and tribalism. i have been in nl 4yrs and never once witnessed bigotry or tribalistic remark. i should be a moderator for politics section. |
shymexx: No one has explained how the legal and illegal status would be determined...If you have to ask this question, then you belong on the other side of the niger border. I will tell Awujale to disown you shymexx. ![]() |
coogar: what is anyone going to do with your biometrics? can anyone claim your fingerprint or your identikit? it's just going to be your name, date of birth, address, etc.....there would be a computer chip that would recognise you when the card gets swiped - that is all!..why would i want to steal identity of another Nigerian? .....Sss is hunting for him, he has been banned from ever setting foot anywhere in Europe, he is on fbi most wanted list.... the city of New York has five warrants to serve on him. ........ am i nuts, why do i want to steal Nigerian man identity? |
pro01: Who exactly does this power-drunk, delusional governor regard as "illegal immigrants"? Is he talking about Nigerian citizens or illegal aliens from other countries? If the latter is the case, is it the responsibility of the LASG to tackle illegal immigrants, or it is the responsibility of the Federal Government (through the Nigerian Immigration Service)?...Yorubas put him there, we will kick him out whe he is no longer serving the desires of the land owners. 'till then, chiill! |
CuntDestroyer: I DONT BLAME YOU. IGBOS ARE BETTER LOOKING THAN YOU YORUBISH...in what way, do you care to share? |
CuntDestroyer: a shore line that will be beneath the atlantic within 5yrs. i lol....as long you are on that side of niger...no problem. Take your governors and their jets with you. |
CuntDestroyer: i dont blame you...shyyt, we already did. where were you? |
amor4ce: How can I ask Gov Fashola to include craniometric (shape of skull/head) data as part of the biometric information on the ID cards?Lol. I dont need the name to know im speaking to a mexican.....oops, i mean Igbo |
CuntDestroyer: you and I know this has nothing to do with illegal aliens. so stop spewing garbage. this is down to pure ethnicity. When you cross the Niger, whether in the North or in the middle or in South....you crossed the border and in a new country. |
coogar: if all those omo onile and agberos can register to vote, own bank cards, own mobile phones then getting a resident's ID shouldn't be a problem! i back this idea 100%. if another government comes in, they would continue where fashola stopped!..correct yarn coogar! |
CuntDestroyer: my late dad has properties in Lagos, I will sell it off. I haven't set foot in that garbage heap in years....they dont want to perish on Benin-Ore rd as they go back and forth everyweekend to go clubbing in V.I., ......you might think Lagos is a garbage heap, your governors love the feel on Lagoon front. |
safarigirl: Why start something that will die off in good time? Welcome to Nigeria, where such stewpidity doesn't last. What will happen when Fashola leaves power? New Government, new rules, old things will be passed away. How many people will be registered? Na those omo nile and agbero boys na im wan get ID? Or the old, withered grandfathers? Abi the buka women? Fashola should be reasonable, Lagos isn't made up of just Ikoyi, Lekki and V.I areas, so his attempt at 'modernization' will fail like the okada banning will........all in good timeIm the next governor after Fashola. Many years ago Lagos had a subsidized social programmes for children from infancy to secondary school age. Other than to say it was a very effective programme that achieved its goals I will not gi into details. I do want to say its a model that has been studied and when inverted for application to adults and seniors it will be very successful. Lagos is top heavy with population density....there are many factors the state could harvest to promote self-emigration out of Lagos,. Just as people took it upon themselves to pack up from village and head to Lagos, no job interview or business assignment, so they will also pack up and depart when these programmes are implemented. Governor Fashola is shy and very liberal. Dudu is not, ...not only will I send you back to village, if your village is full and can no longer accomodate additional headcount, I will forward you to Gabon for keepsake till village has more room to take you back. Under Dudu Lagos will not take shyyyt! We will bring about resource and economic filtering ...we will bring it in direct contact with population. |
Hausas have all kind of rituals and customs sorrounding matrmonial institution and they take it very serious. Many Hausa customs believe in a connection between marriage, fertility and crop yields....for that reason they stage outing ceremonies for young eligible bachelors and debutantes to coincide with harvest period. In a particular Hausa community, I will say an anonymous town to protect their cultural pride, ....the act of match making is very peculiar. A documentary film was made years ago portraying the ritual. Its a beautiful custom and i dont care if you are Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba or whatever else you will love how these people match couples for marriage. oouhh, I should travel back there and marry. ![]() |
agbotaen: 1. is igbo an ethnic group? if the ansewer is yes then anioma too can become an ethnic group if we say so , as igbo was crafted with the help of europeans ,just like yoruba and others including my beloved ika ethnic group , and i know this will hurt many igbos .Agbotaen, In reference to the first line in your list, do not ever let me hear you say Yoruba was created by European. If you want to solicit igbo empathy do so for your own sake but not at the cost of Yoruba nation. We were a nation before any other ethnic group in Nigeria could distinguish their front from their back.... You dont want to upset me my friend. |
eGuerrilla: The Fashola administration is clearly a responsible one that understands “Government has the responsibility to cater for everyone residing in Lagos, regardless of the state or country they came from".The triumphalists have given you hints months ago that we need a mechanized tag and track system, a database copy, a carry-on hard copy or both, to distinguish and match resource. This is news to you....the commentators wonder why its just now making the news. |
