I would only be deceiving myself if I say Igbos have not contributed greatly to the nation. Please tell nairaland igbos to stop calling others parasites. thanks
That's the BOTTOM LINE!! Do not give to others that which if returned to you will distress your heart. Do not segregate and maltreat osus in your land and expect that Nigeria will not segregate and maltreat your dialus.

Sam, I read your post and what you said about Nigeria fighting to brng you back to the fold.  That is wrong!  Nigeria did not consent for you to break out to begin with.  Your action was a rebellion that had to be checked, and checked it was!  You could have won the war. . . .if you had not marched Westward!   Lessons for you going forward.
PoliticsRe: What Does The Ss/se Contribute To Nigeria? by NegroNtns(op): 5:29pm On Feb 04, 2012
Well, my brothers in the Eastern region. . . . what do you all think?   Do you still believe that your 5 states is the lead contributing region in Nigeria?

You opened posts asking what has West contributed to Nigeria.  Then opened another one asking what has North contributed to Nigeria.  Now we ask what have you contributed to Nigeria. . . . . .that independent GDP report says it all.   Your yansh is laid bare in the harmattan wind, banana leaf no fit cover your nak edness.

Becareful what you demand of others. . . in Nigeria of old days you might not get it, but in the Nigeria we live in now. . . .you will be choked with it!  Lessons for you going forward.

RGP, We already covered that in a different topic, you are late.  Go and check "what does Yoruba contribute to Nigeria".

This is a challenge to those lazy a ss es who think a dissolution of Nigeria will suffocate Oodua or Arewa.  It is time for them to come out and show what is generated in their homeland in terms of human productivity.
PoliticsWhat Does The Ss/se Contribute To Nigeria? by NegroNtns(op): 11:59pm On Feb 03, 2012
Whats with all these oil talk? The oil is a natural resource that lies dormant until you put human effort to turn it into a product and derive benefits from it.

In terms of human productivity (human resource), not natural resource, what does East generate to Nigeria? What do you oil noise makers contribute to Nigeria??

Let's hear it. . . . .

A carved out and designated zone will attract unecessary attention to you and make you very vulnerable in the new land. Besides, that is still an institutionalized effort that will require African leaders concordance to carry out. . . .but as I said earlier, they all are on crack and I'm sure you know the behavioral pattern of a crack addict.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram:besides The War, No External Attack Has Ever Succeeded In The East: by NegroNtns(m): 5:45pm On Feb 03, 2012
Negro_nuts, you are a mooncalf, olodo.

I had taken a culture that mandated the stay of caste system over the culture that demands heart of dead Oba be cannibalized and human beings slaughtered before corpse of an Oba had to be lowered into the ground.

People say instead of dead it is good to get lost.
Dede,. . . . . . Not only do you disciminate and segregate, you also practice euthanasia on your people.  see below.

".The funeral ceremonies and burials of the Igbo people are extremely complex, the most elaborate of all being the funeral of a chief. However, elaborate funeral ceremonies were not granted to those who died from the several kinds of deaths that are considered shameful, and in these circumstances no burial is provided at all. Women who died during childbirth, children who die before they have teeth, those who commit suicide and those who die in the sacred month – for these people their funeral ceremony consists of being thrown into a bush. Also seen as shameful, multiple births were considered part of the animal world and twins were put to death, as were animals produced at single births. Children who were born with teeth, or whose upper teeth came first, babies born feet first, boys with only one testicle, and lepers, were all killed and their bodies discarded in secrecy.
Thats the culture you had proudly taken.  A culture that kills what it termed "shameful births" and dump them in forest to rot. . . . . and then further put label and stigma of osu on the living and segregate them into lifetime slavery.  Shame on you for admitting preferrence for such a society.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram:besides The War, No External Attack Has Ever Succeeded In The East: by NegroNtns(m): 5:19pm On Feb 03, 2012
Before British colonialism, the Igbo were a politically fragmented group. There were variations in culture such as in art styles, attire and religious practices. Various subgroups were organized by clan, lineage, village affiliation, and dialect. There were not many centralized chiefdoms, hereditary aristocracy, or kingship customs except in kingdoms such as those of the Nri, Arochukwu, Agbor and Onitsha. This political system changed significantly under British colonialism in the 19th century; Eze (kings) were introduced into most local communities by Frederick Lugard as "Warrant Chiefs
I am from a noble Igbo family that was chosen to become a royal family when the Igbos began to have kings in imitation of their neighbors; the Igala, and the Bini.

PoliticsRe: How Obj Killed Yar'adua by NegroNtns(m): 5:05pm On Feb 03, 2012
now here is my hypothesis - obj knew the rigours of presidency being in the seat himself - obj knew yar'adua was not fit enough for the office yet he decideed to encourage umaru in order to (a) avoid being probed (b) control the nation by proxy. umaru survived 8 yrs as governor of katsina state - but the presidency was a different kettle of fish and the rigours of the office greatly affected his health culminating in his death - it's safe to say obj killed him
what else would one expect from a zionist? hahahahaha. . . .you can kiss my a s s!

I bury a rod in the ground and reverse the curse back to you.

the osu problem is a ibo problem but it will take non-ibos to help bring their case to prime light and deliver them from the discrimination of dialu. You know how ibo write UN and everybody that care to listen that Nigeria is victimising SE? Same thing here. The osus cannot speak because of the stigma, it will take non ibos who can kick dialu a s s to bring the needed changes and free osu. You shameless idiot! telling me not to derail thread. What is wrong with asking you to clean your house and stop discrimination against your own people? Wont dialu ibos like to be treated better and be more accepted in Nigeria, instead of the step-child treatment you all get? If true, then why wont your dialu begin to give to your osu what he himself would desire from fellow Nigerians?

Land of dialu and osu.

What are you going to do about the osu caste. Address that. Thats the bottom line of your troubles in Nigeria. Once you get rid of it then you will be accepted as civilized society.

if a tire explodes these days. . . it is boko throwing bomb. lmao! This is very likely robbery or a wannabe group. before boko, pllice stations and banks have been targets by robbers. They first attack and scare or kill police off, then snatch their high powered rifles to take on robbery assignment or to sell off to the highest bidder.

CultureRe: I Hate Being An African American Woman by NegroNtns(m): 9:28am On Feb 03, 2012
@darapture,

When someone approach you with an emotional pain. Listen to their heart. Do not focus on the grammar.

Brielle,

I believe that there ought to be a cultural adoption programme in Africa for re-absorbing African Americans interested in relocating and re-integrating back into their motherland. Unfortunately, Africa is drugged. . . she is on crack! So an institutionalized remedy can best be forgotten. There is an alternative.

Private and individual persons may exist who would love to adopt an African American as their child or relative and invite you to come to the motherland and live with them. There is big sacrifice on both ends and it will take patience and time before such partnership begin to yield fruit for both. The conveniences in America is absent in Africa. . . . the settler will be impacted most and would be the one transformed by default into the host family and community customs.
CultureRe: Can You Translate 'Messiah' In Your Mother Tongue? by NegroNtns(m): 9:04am On Feb 03, 2012
Oh no, something that significant to the destiny would not have been forgotten if we had it to begin with.

I know this is a general topic for all participants, I dont want to be the only contributor so out of respect for other's views, I will make this my last response for a while so others can share.

The ritual of anointing concentrates on the head. Why the head? Yoruba has an answer to this question. It is to be found on the sacredness of Ori (head) in Yoruba philosophy. In our manuscript of nature, Ifa, as well as in our alchemy and esotericism, Ori is held as a deity unto itself. So if you look in my response about the individual that was pre-chosen by the celestial force. . . .this is that individual's ori. The Ori was already decreed by the heavens, the earthly beings then accept it and this acceptance is carried out in a formal ceremony by placing hand on that ori and rubbing oil on it.

I will take you back to the bronze heads. Anonymous, if you are reading this, may God Bless you again for that work. . .and you too Physics for inspiring it. The bronze heads serve two objectives.

1. They give aesthetic form and pleasantness to the physical senses - harmony and balance!
2. They are symbols. They are the keys that open a door that leads into a room that contains the vaults in which the doctrines and secrets, myths and deeds, root and history, customs and philosophies of our people are buried - the 16th order!

Every one of them is superbly beautiful. Look at the details given to the heads and the crowns sitting on the heads. I don't want to drag this into long response. Let me close.

So again, ori is too significant in our cosmic awareness for us to forget anyword connected with its ritual. More than likely we have a different concept for anointing and a word and meaning exist for that, or anointing does not exist as a word with meaning in Yoruba.

I thought the stay off on Feb 3rd was to honor his burial. . . . but burial is postponed, so whats relevance of Feb 3rd to Ojukwu, is that the day he fled to Ivory Coast wearing tutu and high heels or what? huh
PoliticsRe: When South West Cocoa Was Developing Nigeria In The 40s And 50s . Nobody Called by NegroNtns(m): 7:54am On Feb 03, 2012
I am from a noble Igbo family that was chosen to become a royal family when the Igbos began to have kings in imitation of their neighbors; the Igala, and the Bini.
. . . if Anioma Igbo is closer to Edo than Yoruba is, this would be the primary reason.
