are there any african models who don't have white boyfriends? naomi, iman, alek wek, and i can't beleive patricia oluchi too? damn. we black women complain that white women like to take the successful black men, but I must admit that a lot of successful black women also like to go for white men too. it just happens more often with black men. i have never seen an african model with an AFRICAN boyfriend.

@ blacksta you are very right. white men go for the best of black ladies (iman).

also white women definitely go for the best of black men. it bothers me that when blacks make it big they always go for whites even when they can find a black person who is much better than the white person they are with now. sometimes maybe it's wrong to feel this way, but i feel like whites like to take away our best people. it would be nice to see rich and successful black-black couples more often like (Will and Jaidah).

i understand why people are tribalist and want to marry within their tribe. there is absolutely nothing wrong with people wanting to marry within their tribe, but if i don't find anyone within my tribe, i would marry another west african. i would never marry an akata, or oyinbo. only someone from my tribe or another west african, b/c i feel like their cultures are somewhat similar to mine. The only major diff. would be the language, but it's definitely possible to teach my kids both languages when i do have kids.

What makes you think senegalese women are cheaper? Trust me, senegalese women are not cheap. I know them. There are plenty senegalese in my country & senegal's surrounds Gambia & we have a very similar culture. Don't think you're going to spend less if you are with a senegalese woman, unless she is a village girl. There are many girls I know from other west african countries who are very educated as well. Nigerian ladies aren't more classy. No disrespect to them, b/c one of my closest female friends is a nigerian and i love her. Anyway, my point is senegalese women are probably more expensive than you think. Learn about their culture. Senegales, Gambian, & Malian women LOVE jewelry don't be fooled. You probably attended a poor wedding.

It seems the men are more open to marrying other groups and the women like to stick with their own. Not always, but most of the time it seems like that's the case.

I also see another West African simply as someone of another tribe, not as someone of another country. Our cultures, the may we dress are similar. The only major difference is language. I was wondering b/c I like this Nigerian guy. I am Gambian.

wait, i read some posts that said chinese girls aren't interested in black guys. are black/african guys interested in asian girls? are you serious? i never thought black girls even considered dating an asian chick. Asians are the only race besides south asians (indian, pakistanis etc, ) that have almost no good looking people.

it's funny how there are africans who marry whites, but many would not marry another african other another tribe.

This is a questions for the nigerians. Would you marry another West African like a Malian, Gambian, Senegalese, Ivorian, Ghanian etc, Would your parents be against it. I mean it's not like you would be marrying an akata or oyinbo.

what you said was true, but what i wonder is does this apply to black women in general or just dark-skinned black women. i feel like when people say these things about black women they exclude the yellow/light skinned ones. i feel like attitudes and other stereotypes about black women can apply to the yellow ones as well.

if i had children, yes i would die for them.
if a had a man, hell no i wont die for him. no man is worth it because he'll just mourn your death for a little and then move on to another girl. maybe i watch too many naija movies, but the way some men are nowadays makes it hard for me to make certain huge sacrifices for a man. one day he can see a prettier girl and love her more than he ever loved you and forget all the years you've been together. i know some of the stuff i watch in the movies DOES happen in real life. if anyone watched i"In the Eyes of my husband", which is a ghanian movie, you'll know what i'm talking about. to make a long story short, a husband killed his wife (Kalsum Sinare) in order to be with her younger sister (Nadia Buari) although the loyal wife he had was already pretty. she spent 4 years in jail for him when cocaine was found in his luggage at the airport. she got lung cancer in jail because of this. she thought he was framed, and he let her talk the blame for him even thought he knew he was guilty. the first few years of their marriage was so sweet and you would never think he would have brutally murdered her all because of another woman. diary of a mad black woman is a similar scenario of a husband leaving his wife of many years for another woman, but im not gonna go into that too.

well there you go, men like that are the reason why i would never kill myself for a man. i would do as much as I can for him, except sacrifice my life. you have to think, would he do the same for you? no matter how much a guy loves you, it could all change one time when another woman comes along.

you are right opposites attract. dark guys want a fair lady, but i am afraid it is mostly NOT true the other way around. Dark men want fair women. Fair men, black or not, stick with fair women. I feel like dark skinned black women have limited options when it comes to men, because even many black men, especially the ones who are dark as hell, want a fair woman. In India, it is the same for dark skinned indian women. The men want a fair bride.

Yes, I am obsessed with Nnamdi & Osi. They are both two nigerian hunks, but I must say Nnamdi takes the cake in my opinion. Anyway, I would like to see what other girls think. Here are pics of both.

Since Osi is already with an akata, I am hoping Nnamdi won't do the same. From what I know, he is single. I highly doubt he'll choose an African either. The only thing Nigerian about these guys is their name. They probably don't speak their language either. Yea yea I know they were not born and raised in Nigeria, but there also plenty of Nigerian and African girls who were also born and bred here like themselves that they could choose from. Anyway, let me stop this rambling.

Who do you think is better looking and what do you think of Osi's girlfriend? Also, what are the chances that Nnamdi will choose an African instead of an akata or oyinbo?

I'm sorry I know this might sound a bit racist, but I would hate too see such a fine and successful African guy with some white gold digger. If his white isn't white, she'll probably we an akata. Either way, she'll most certainly NOT be African.

I think Nnamdi is an excellent player and is very good looking. However, I highly doubt he would marry a nigerian woman or another african woman for that matter. Like some posters above me said, his wife will most likely be some blonde. It seems like most american football players whether they are black or whte tend to go for blondes. Anyway, even if she isn't blonde, she will most likely be white. If not, a black american. I will be very surprised if she is African. Like another poster said, there are plenty of nigerian and other african girls who are raised in the usa and are very successful that he can marry.

Look at who Osi picked up. Don't get worng. I love Osi and he plays for my home team, but I was not surprised that he chose an akata as a girlfriend. Nnamdi is just going to do the same.

I feel like it is becoming a trend for very wealthy and successful black men to go for white women. I know there are still quite a few successful black men like Will Smith and Denzel with black women, but it is more common to see one with a white woman. Sometimes I feel like it is easier for a white woman to get a black man (well at least ones like Osi and Nnamdi), no matter how she looks like than it is for a black girl even if she is gorgeous.

Didier Drogba is one of the few African athletes who is with a fellow African woman.

I know this is kind of random, but I have watched a couple of movies where Rita Dominic has played Pat's love interest and I think they match well together. Well at least they look good together. I know Rita is in her early 30's and is still, which I still don't understand. Does anyone else think they would make a cute couple? Please, no dissing either of them.

What about dark complexioned black women? No2Atheism only praised LIGHT complexioned black women (Beyonce) in his post from what I understood. Isn't that a bit hypocritical? Don't you think? Maybe you were just simply stating your preference, but this was the impression I got from it.
