Again, someone wanted to complain about his experience at the hand of a Cotonue dealer here on NL, he was not given a chance, now Ayusman came here to plead his case for Banix to come out of hiding, he refused until the case had dragged for days undecided I joke around and tease people a lot on NL, I also flirt a lot and have about 70 e-husbands on NL, but when it is time to be serious, i struggle, but i can be a serious person, and one thing i have the ability to do is kill threads, if i don't want a thread to degenerate or escalate into a fight, it will not happen. The truth is, i have nothing against Banix,and if Onwan had not come into this thread, it would not have gone more than 2 pages, and as a matter of fact, i would have contacted Banix, but I hate bullies with a passion, and Onwan made me lose it, because those victims who lost over N2m to the preorder thingy still leaves a sore taste in my mouth because he was in the midst of it all and should have been held culpable cool angry
this is where i got the days thing, i put it at the bottom cos i felt it was inconsequential.
Ayusman referred the dude to either you or Nairaland and when he started having problem, naturally he gravitated towards Ayusman the link, and the fact that he told you another figure does not mean he did not lie to Ayusman. Ayusman also stated that his friend was reluctant to come on nairaland and this is either because he is a coward or he is one of those people that don't like stress/noise/attention, simple.The bottomline is that if Ayusman did not come to Nairaland to spill, you would have kept on ignoring the friend, shikena
this was why i brought up the point of the referrals
and as per the dictionary thingy, it was because you highlighted the word attack in my post, i know what bizbooks is about and i felt that instead of him taking up space 'recapping' what we knew, he could be stating his views on what's happening here. . .

funny how you say 'not slating you' and then turn around and call me an illiterate in so many words. . .

btw i checked arbitrator and it means what i meant: someone who settles disputes. isn't that what bizbooks is on about? heck he even used the exact word in his posts.

i agree with onwan. . .there are two parties involved, your friend and banix everyone else is a third party.

hey ppl. . .

wots happening? work is beyond boring for me now, nothing interesting happening. . .just wanted to ask you guys' opinion on something, for an engineer what's the significance of awon PMP, six sigma etc etc

cos one of my friends has been on my case to get one of them but at the level i am now, would they be an advantage? aren't i a bit too green for such?
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by netotse(m): 10:06am On Oct 11, 2010
@ayusman
now you're saying banix connived with the mechanic your friend brought to cheat your friend ehn?. . .let your friend come on NL himself and talk to us, i don tire for 3rd party yarns.

p.s. banix mentioned the 2nd day call, he said it was a security issue.
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by netotse(m): 2:00am On Oct 11, 2010
*sighing* his coming her to tell us about how the auto section needs an arbitrator or whatever has nothing to do with the issue on ground. . .that's my point. I want to know if he's for or against.

ehen? is there an embargo on using the word 'attack'? one of the meanings is transitive verb criticize somebody or something: to subject somebody or something to strong or vehement criticism

which is different from 'insult' which means among others transitive and intransitive verb be offensive to somebody: to say or do something rude or insensitive that offends somebody

@busybody
na wa o. . .apparently, nothing will make you believe that banix has any rights, first, it was one person that bought an EOD(not ayusman) that refered the buyer in question to banix.

the fact that the friend keeps denying knowledge of the existence of this thread could also mean that he's not aware of the stories ayusman has been telling here(ayusman refused to tell us the friend was not aware, he was equivocating)

banix says the friend denied spending anything close to that amount on the car, what does ayusman have to say about that?

banix says the initial problem with the car starting the next morning was due to the car security(by which time the friends mechanic had already condemned the car). I have personal experience with this kind of problem, someone didn't know where the security was for a car i used to drive and he sha found a way to start it by tampering with the security, the car has never recovered from it, the entire wiring for the ignition system had to be removed and re-done. This puts paid to the argument that the car spoilt the next day and highlights the complicity/inexperience of the buyers' mechanic.

banix denies knowledge of the car wahala before this saturday(you called him out on the 'bring it and i'll sell it for you' bit , lets see how he responds to that)

my issue with ayusman on this issue stems from the way he told his story, now we hear the 300k doesn't exist and we're finding out that the initial towing was due to the mechanics incompetence and the owners naivete.

and i noticed you said it took banix days to respond, it wasn't days, it was about 24 hours, and he said he contacted the people that had bought EODs from him before coming to post on NL. . .

@banix
na wa o, all this 'agent of the devil' meinene that you are doing here. . .you're making yourself sound like a frivolous person, ayusman started out seeking answers to some questions, granted he didn't get his facts right, but i dont think he was insulting(initially). . .by getting on the churchy tip, you're alienating ayusman, if he still apologizes then he'd really be a 'big' person(i think he's ok, but he just has bebeto tendencies).BTW being able to get your point across without resorting to insults or pontificating/broadcasting your religious preferences is in your best interests.

@ayusman
dont you think it's time to get your friend to come to this thread? what do you have to say about banix's claims? particularly the 300k, the security/towing-thingy and his not knowing about any issue other than the security thingy. . .feel free to equivocate, i dont have any stake in this matter.

This rumor of his sack has been around since Tuesday but I seriously doubt the connection . . . the president is not that daft . . . I refuse to believe that.
as per ogiadomhe, putting two and two together makes it plausible o, maybe he though he was 'getting the presidents back'.

i dont know if GEJ himself would stoop low enough to do/authorize such, but it could be a case of 'murder in the cathedral' (i learnt that much from 24 grin)
PoliticsRe: What Is Aljazeera's Mission In Nigeria? by netotse(m): 4:53pm On Oct 08, 2010
things are heating up. . .word has it the government official in question is mike ogiadomhe, chief of staff to the president. rumours of his sack and detention were flying around a couple of days ago.

i'm awaiting further information, but from the looks of things GEJ doesn't have control of the people around him.

i tend to agree with you on that. . .the FGN needs to come out and state what's happening clearly. . .i just dont like the whole blame it on GEJ that's being played out

@oyb

PoliticsRe: Gej, You Can Still Redeem Yourself by netotse(m): 3:13pm On Oct 08, 2010
archaic mindset? notice i refrained from positing they were smarter than the NL crowd because such generalizations are counter-productive.

both NVS and NL are very different, they cater to different sets of people and as such the ideas there differ, can you for a second try to imagine why your beloved NR would let himself be interviewed by NVS if they were as terrible as you make them out to be?

guy we're not here to discuss the different forums but still your generalizations are wayyyy of the mark
PoliticsRe: What Is Aljazeera's Mission In Nigeria? by netotse(m): 2:47pm On Oct 08, 2010
a portion of the same article from which you copied quotes some 'security officials' as saying that the interview was false, so which set of officials are we to believe?
PoliticsRe: Gej, You Can Still Redeem Yourself by netotse(m): 2:42pm On Oct 08, 2010
@gbawe
so, just because some people dont like NR they are now dense, pompous and idealistic? guy you can like to comport yourself, why dont you help organise interviews with presidential candidates now on nairaland now. . .Just say you didn't get along with the crowd over there.

P.S. impromptu? who told you so? so you think you can just call ribadu up and talk with him for an hour just like that? them interviews (buhari and ribadu, next dele momodu, heck there's even a podcast with one of GEJs SAs) have been planned since.

oh and yeah, the crowd on NVS are much older than the NL crowd, so not getting along with them is natural

are you familiar with cool fm? they used to have a prank call program called cool candid phone, they once played a prank on CNN where they called and said there was a coup in nigeria. . .they stopped just before they were put on live TV. Dont you think something similar could have been done here? i mean, aljazeera doesn't tell us how(if they did at all) they confirmed it was okah on the telephone before taking him live did they?

as pressmen they have a duty to verify the information they present and we've learnt they dont always do that from the yar adua is drinking tea saga. . .

@ayusman
why is it that the only unequivocal statements we get are from third parties not your own mouth?

is your friend aware of the thread or not?(meaning was banix lying when he said your friend denied knowledge of this thread)

a mechanic brought by your friend certified the car as fit, not so?

everyone gets the point you're trying to make(which is banix shouldn't have sold a bad car, bad of course being according to your opinion) but to say you're not going about it the best way possible is a(n) euphemism.

i mean, WTF is 'i didn't mention anything about my friend being aware of this thread'? are you a bl0ody politician or something? if he's aware or not tell us, so we now whether onwan and banix are lying to us, but instead you're choosing to hem and haw. . .what is 'he will respond at the appropriate time'?

@busybody
do you see my problem with the matter? ayusman is being stingy with information, methinks he's trying to hard not to admit that he went about things the wrong way. . .why cant he give us simple answers? see the rigmarole that we went through before finding out that a mechanic(we dont know whether it was mechanic 1, 2 or 3) gave them a bill of 300grand(which everyone agrees is downright dishonest) which of course doesn't translate to spending said amount on the car. . .

you yourself know you didn't start out particularly well on this thread, a lot of people have reason to be upset with you.

@onwan
you dey vex o, i think in the interest of equity it would be better if you waited until after the meeting between banix and his client to sort things out.
