FL Gators:my yoruba isn't that good. . . e s'anu mi cos i feel i dont have any experience to write abt and i hate all those lousy phrases ppl put in CVs like 'excellent communication skills'(he can barely speak english o), team player(the only team he knows about is man utd.) and my personal favourite 'excellent computer school'(he doesnt even know what DVD stands for). i dont want to get involved in all that whitewashing jo!, (so what i've resolved to do is wait till obama's daughters grow and marry one of them) ![]() P.S. hv u started work or somefink? where are u getting the 'hands on' experience? u dont want to respect the elders abi? (if not for my e-rheumatism i would have put u over my e-knee) |
errr first FL Gators:@fl gators lol. . .if there was anyone on this thread u'd need to tell that it'd be me(the last person'd be ajanlekoko), he's a telecomms pro(i'm sure when he graduated u were still writing in pencil). . .(come to think of it you're the youngest engineer here i hereby christen u 'baby engineer'). . .in fact, by royal decree anytime u want to talk to your elders u must first e-curtsy(how u acheive that is ur biz). ![]() @all thanks for the advice, i will now proceed to construct a CV where i will lie through my teeth (by that i mean using words like good motivator etc. . .)i'm sooo not looking forward to that task, can anyone give me tips? |
u shldn't hv the wedding and the thanksgiving in the same church o!. . .one shld be on the grooms side and the other on the bride's side. . .its more or less tradition now. . . |
Lord, it was like film trick, but u did it. . .thank You! |
Lord thank You for your mercy, even when i do my best to show i dont deserve it! |
the God of my salvation, cos i know if it was left to me there's no way i woulda become a christian! |
FL Gators:ok darling, i was going to argue but u're right for most parts, the workers in PHCN are skilless and the management needs to face that in addition to the fact that they're overstaffed. PHCN, jst got off a strike cos they want a 150% increase in basic salary(they didnt call it off they were taken to the IAP<----industrial arbitration panel), but the company makes like 7billion a month and most of it goes to salaries so there isnt much left for training and all and they now want an increase(of which they aren't even payed well to begin with)but the Gods honest truth is nobody does any work here sef. . .its all confusing, i dont know whose side to be on sef! |
oyb:errr. . .well when we're done fixing the political we'll still hv to fix the technical ones. . .so its still the same kettle of fish! @ajanlekoko e go better, at least u're still in lagos. . . @all i just got asked for my CV wrt IPP sturvs, but seeing as i dont have any working experience to speak of is it advisable for me to work?or should i go for an M.sc then get some experience before coming back to take a job?i hv 6 months plus of NYSC left to take a decision |
cld u be more specific? is it an external device am guessing it is, wots the name which phone are u trying to connect? |
u've got to love NL, someone asks for advice and it degenerates into a free for all! |
hi, can anyone tell me how i can store apps on my phone without having to install them? as in i have some apps i want to be able to transfer via bluetooth to other ppls phones so we can play multiplayer but anytime i send the apps to my phone its installed so i cant send it. . .i want to be able to carry it arnd on my phone so whenever i want to play with someone who doesnt have the game i can simply send it to the person via bluetooth. P.S. my phone is an s40 phone. . .thanx |
poor fella, if its any consolation was in camp in march and from my own camp i can tell you that for her to sleep with anyone on came then she'd have to be really cheap! |
Lord i praise for everything you are doing You are truly deserving of glory honour and worship! |
Lord i thank You because i know that by myself i am nothing, it is You in me that makes me what i am today. . .thank You |
sistawoman: do i just do his chores untill he feels like doing them?you might as well tell him never to listen to you again in his life children aren't necessary saints you know. . .he jst might say that(the running away sturvs) to scare you (esp if he's sure it'll work), ignore him! |
Fhemmmy:actually they do, in the north the governors give out a lot of motorcycles so they are plenty and some of them find their way to lagos where they are used for okada and in some cases some of the riders/drivers are not literate not to talk of knowing the highway code! plus i'm in the north now and its still the same thing. . . u're twice as likely to see a northerner that cant ride than any of the other various tribes (hell i even see some 12year olds riding motorcycles here) |
@dominque actually it is(in a funny way we were succintly impying that seun and the other mods were politically immature) |
@dominique and tudor dude. . .easy o, we weren't insulting ppl here we were just having a nice peaceful e-rebellion. . .lol |
y'all know we're technically asking for trouble here. . .lol we're starting our own e-revolution |
'anything for the boys' is a phrase that policemen and agberos use to ask for kolanut/money(its even my current FB status) its the same thing as a policeman pulling you over and saying 'happy sunday' or 'the ground is dry' or 'do something for the boys' people now use it to joke. . .so if u've never been told anything for the boys its likely u wont get it! |
sometimes i wish the career path i've chosen was as simple as getting certifications. . .i mean this place is killing me, i'm bored stiff, there's no sensible work being done! |
lol. . .the joke was funny. its just that its typically ppl that live in naija and have had experiences wiv policemen and touts that will get it! |
lol. . . |
a bad mom is a bad mom period, whether she works or not! |
desgiezd:maybe its too intellectual for nairaland(its only seun or whoever locked the thread that can tell us tho!) |
this guy is a joke! |
meself i dont see any reason why it was locked! |
SeanT21:i see. . .so part of the problem is the definition of housewife!. . .oya out with the dictionaries! |
it means Nigerian Institute of Management. in my opinion its not worth very much, ppl just do it so they have certificates to carry about and they can add MNIM after their names. The ppl that did it here dont go to classes it doesnt seem to be a very credible program |
*almost choking on the garri and epa i was eating* yes ke! in fact go and wait for me under the mango tree down the road, make sure to wear a wedding gown o! i'm coming with the babalawo that will join us togeda but first sey you know how to pound yam?and sow?and bake?and wash? if you dont dont worry i can arrange for you to go and learn from one of my grandmothers in the village! |
Lord i thank you because i know you have a plan and a purpose for my life and even though at times it seems like i'm carrying last you're firmly in control! |
Orisdude:check wwwzionpnp.com i think they've done some stuff similar. . .a friend attended their training |
