Ohhh, sorry eh, am like still introducing myself, and I'm loving each day of it.
Instead of sitting in a lecture room, I actually got hands on experience, I just loveeeee it.

"Baby" Engineer grin yo ba epkon ori e tongue
The only person I go curtsy to is Ajalekoko tongue He seems well expertised in his area.

Why you dey fear to write your CV?
my yoruba isn't that good. . . e s'anu mi

cos i feel i dont have any experience to write abt and i hate all those lousy phrases ppl put in CVs like 'excellent communication skills'(he can barely speak english o), team player(the only team he knows about is man utd.) and my personal favourite 'excellent computer school'(he doesnt even know what DVD stands for). i dont want to get involved in all that whitewashing jo!, (so what i've resolved to do is wait till obama's daughters grow and marry one of them) grin

P.S. hv u started work or somefink? where are u getting the 'hands on' experience?

u dont want to respect the elders abi? (if not for my e-rheumatism i would have put u over my e-knee)

FL Gators:
Na today I know the real reason why you ppl love electrical engineering.
OMG, I loff it. . . . .we did a lil programming and all that. . . .

@Ajenlekoko
Electrical engineering is not only about converting mechanical energy into electrical energy, B.T.W wink
@fl gators
lol. . .if there was anyone on this thread u'd need to tell that it'd be me(the last person'd be ajanlekoko), he's a telecomms pro(i'm sure when he graduated u were still writing in pencil). . .(come to think of it you're the youngest engineer here i hereby christen u 'baby engineer'). . .in fact, by royal decree anytime u want to talk to your elders u must first e-curtsy(how u acheive that is ur biz). cool

@all
thanks for the advice, i will now proceed to construct a CV where i will lie through my teeth grin(by that i mean using words like good motivator etc. . .)i'm sooo not looking forward to that task, can anyone give me tips?

Dear, of course there are technical problems, but we can't fix them if the politcal barriers continue to block development.

I even wonder if we have nuclear and radiological engineering programs in Nigeria.
Yea, I know. I mean, every grant and Aids for development comes from the government
ok darling, i was going to argue but u're right for most parts, the workers in PHCN are skilless and the management needs to face that in addition to the fact that they're overstaffed.

PHCN, jst got off a strike cos they want a 150% increase in basic salary(they didnt call it off they were taken to the IAP<----industrial arbitration panel), but the company makes like 7billion a month and most of it goes to salaries so there isnt much left for training and all and they now want an increase(of which they aren't even payed well to begin with)but the Gods honest truth is nobody does any work here sef. . .its all confusing, i dont know whose side to be on sef!
CareerRe: Electrical Engineering: Aspirants and Practitioners by netotse(m): 8:18pm On Jul 20, 2009
oyb:
.

the problem with PHCN is not technical, it is political
errr. . .well when we're done fixing the political we'll still hv to fix the technical ones. . .so its still the same kettle of fish!

@ajanlekoko
e go better, at least u're still in lagos. . .

@all

Fhemmmy:
If they really wanna make it work, it will work.
actually they do, in the north the governors give out a lot of motorcycles so they are plenty and some of them find their way to lagos where they are used for okada and in some cases some of the riders/drivers are not literate not to talk of knowing the highway code!

plus i'm in the north now and its still the same thing. . . u're twice as likely to see a northerner that cant ride than any of the other various tribes
(hell i even see some 12year olds riding motorcycles here)

Jokes EtcRe: Agbero In Atm Machine by netotse(m): 12:45pm On Jun 30, 2009
'anything for the boys' is a phrase that policemen and agberos use to ask for kolanut/money(its even my current FB status) its the same thing as a policeman pulling you over and saying 'happy sunday' or 'the ground is dry' or 'do something for the boys' people now use it to joke. . .so if u've never been told anything for the boys its likely u wont get it!

CareerRe: Electrical Engineering: Aspirants and Practitioners by netotse(m): 9:59am On Jun 30, 2009
it means Nigerian Institute of Management. in my opinion its not worth very much, ppl just do it so they have certificates to carry about and they can add MNIM after their names. The ppl that did it here dont go to classes it doesnt seem to be a very credible program

CareerRe: Project Managers' Forum by netotse(m): 4:54pm On Jun 29, 2009
Orisdude:
Greetings my good people,
My organization wants to organize a Project Management training session, as well as, some rigorous foundational training in the use of Microsoft Project.
Since the defining and organizing has been left to me, I have decided that our people should get acquainted with the Prince2 methodology and get trained in the use of Microsoft projects.
At the end of the training program-which should be a maximum of 6 days, we should write the 2 exams required to certify at the foundation level.
The training on the Microsoft projects software (which is mostly scheduling should come after)

2 things;
1. Does Prince2 material lend itself to this type of arrangement? Would my team gain anything in that short period of time that would be worthwhile?
Of course it would be an intensive training period.

2. Can anyone suggest solid, excellent trainers who know their onions (I don't need paper gangsters-my people can smell those types 500km away)
I need an organization with solid excellent professionals and trainers.

Thanks smiley
check wwwzionpnp.com i think they've done some stuff similar. . .a friend attended their training
