Big Brother Naija star, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has reflected on his struggling days, before his rise to stardom, IGBERETV reports.

In excerpts from a recent interview with Young Skales shared on his Instagram story, the BBNaija season 6 winner said his family lived in extreme poverty and that he and his mother had to pack faeces and clear gutters to feed.

“Back then in Kaduna state, I could remember vividly in my compound in Kujama, we were very very broke.

I and my mum could really not afford stuff so what I did basically was, I literally helped the whole compound and the other compound to pack their faeces and use my hand to clear the gutter at the back of the house so that water can flow.

So while I collect those stuff with my hands every day at the end of the day I get 200 naira from each of the tenants and I use the money to buy foodstuff for me and my mum.” He said.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that Lagosians will miss his government if he is not allowed a second term as the governor of the state, in the forthcoming 2023 gubernatorial elections, IGBERETV reports.

He made the statement on Sunrise Daily, a programme of Channels Television, on Thursday.

He also said the Lagos State Government was making strides to meet the expectations of the citizens.

According to him, his administration will finish strong at the end of his first term.

“I think we are doing a very good job, I dare say so. I think the citizens know what it is they will be missing if they don’t let us continue to wrap up all the things we are doing” he said.

When asked concerning a possible second term bid, The Governor responded that he is consulting the stakeholders on the future of the state.

“I will ask; I will consult. Citizens, how do you see it? These are some of the things; that’s how you get it down. Try and finish very strong. You will know when it is time for us to do all the politicking”

A young Nigerian lady couldn’t control her emotions when she got to meet popular Nigerian singer, Harrysong, for the first time, IGBERETV reports.

In a video that was shared on social media by the singer, the lady who is believed to be a staunch fan of the singer dropped to the floor and burst into tears the moment she ran into him in the reception of what looked like a hotel.

The PDP governors forum has described the APC-led government as a massive failure when compared to their government. The PDP governors said this after a meeting they had in Rivers state on Monday, 17th January 2021, IGBERETV reports.

A communique by the governors and read by its chairman and the Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal, reads;

''The governors of the PDP noted that the management of our oil and gas resources, the administration of the Federation account have remained opaque, confusing and non-transparent. It is clear that the APC government is a massive failure when compared with the records of PDP in government. The PDP handed over a N550 billion economy, the largest in Africa in 2015 but under the APC , Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world.''

Ebonyi State government has warned residents of the state against obeying the sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ahead of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu's court outing, IGBERETV reports.

IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful had announced that a sit-at-home protest will be observed in all states in the South-East region on Tuesday January 18, the scheduled date for continuation of trial of the proscribed group's leader.

However reacting to the order, Ebonyi government directed that all markets and parks in the state should open for business as failure to do so will attract “severe punishment”.

Nwachukwu Eze, Ebonyi commissioner for markets and parks said in a statement;

“All markets and parks leaderships in Ebonyi are by this announcement directed to ensure that markets are open for businesses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

“The state is not in any way part of the sit-at-home order by IPOB. Please note that strict compliance to this directive is very important as failure to do so will attract severe punishment.”

At two years , you all were already walking as i made sure you were allowed freedom to ambulate and strengthen your limbs. I am not even getting started on the trauma you are all managing unconsciously, wondering if you would ever see your mom again. As a your morher, this is troubling let alone for toddlers.

The Imo State Governor Sen. Hope Uzodinma has broken his silence on issues revolving around attacks on his government and person by former Governor of the State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha, IGBERETV reports.

Sen. Okorocha had accused the Imo State Governor of witch-hunting his family since his emergence as Governor. But during the 6th Imo State Stakeholders meeting held in Government House Owerri, Governor Uzodinma said he would not join issues with Okorocha, whom he described as not willing to abdicate the office of Governor after years of leaving office.

“I have said it times without number I have no personal grouse with anybody. All of you who know me well in Imo state, I tried one time or the other to contest election. In some cases, I won. In some cases, I did not win. And when I didn't win, I left back for my businesses. When I won, I served the people with all my heart.

“I have many former Governors in Imo state, I have Governor Achike Udenwa. I have Governor Ikedi Ohakim. Emeka Ihedioha; former Governor, Okorocha; former Governor. But none of them want to take the whole State as a private property.

“The difference between the other former Governors and Okorocha is that he is out of office but he still wants to be in office. Okorocha is a younger brother to me. I'm older than him, if not for anything, traditionally I deserve to be respected by him. I don't want to join issues with him. Let him just know that he is not the Governor and for the short period I will be here God-willing, he should allow me to be Governor," Uzodinma said.

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has stated that the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, is qualified to become the President of Nigeria, IgbereTV reports.
