Good one. Please give us good service, and make sure you train your ground and customer service staff well. |
Obviously he didn't get the memo about the Basketmouth robbery... boys are watching in these Buhari times.... Oh, and don't forget to donate some small change to a school in your hometown, inugo? |
ireneony:Whaaaaaa?!?! Are you trolling? Or just jealous of her natural beauty? She is more beautiful and as you can see from the comments, most people agree. Black skin is in, and I'm happy she's giving up that skin damaging treatment |
Riiiight.... Because we have a reliable electric grid to charge this with... I would have loved to drive to the barber to cut my hair and charge my phone, but my electric scooter is dead... Quandary |
Na wah for some people. Can you look this lovely without makeup at her age? I wold love to wake up to a beautiful face like this everyday. Timeless beauty. |
mrkayusfit:Erm... renegades and militants have been challenging the so-called might of our armed forces for some years now... taking territory of 3 states and causing wanton damage to pipelines. This kind of thing does not happen in countries with REAL armed forces. Sorry to bust your bubble. |
Whatever happened to phased improvements? You take a few buildings each semester and improve them, not suddenly shut down all of housing. So parents that were budgeting a certain amount for housing for this year now find themselves needing to double or triple their budget. Or will government also subsidize the cost of housing off-campus? We have such a short term view of things that our solution is always to ban without sufficient forecasting to minimize disruptions. Is it now, when school is to resume in the next few weeks, that they should be announcing this? Or at least 6 months ago. Smh |
Habiodunz:What do you mean? It is no more worldly than a printed book. There is a lot of technology and science behind the making of a book, but no matter the medium you find it, it is the Word of God that you should read and absorb into your heart and mind. |
The original manuscripts of the Bible were not written in a book, but on stone, papyrus, parchment, and other forms of written text. The printing press for books did not arrive till about 1450, so at one point the Holy Bible we regard as traditional was once a "new" thing. I wouldn't be surprised if some people protested that this was not the traditional way for the Word of God, in the same way we are now protesting about reading from tablets and phone. The presentation of text changes over millenia (tablets, papyrus, paper, pixels), but the Word of God is everlasting. In other words, I think it is OK to read from any media, be it scrolls, book, or electronic. |
Abeg free the guy. Do you know how much he denied himself for those months leading up to the olympics? No drink, no party, no women, just practice, practice, sleep, and eat lean. So he is taking a break and enjoying the fruit of his labours, and people are vexing? Party on, while you're still hot cake. In a decade, he will be another "was great" ![]() *no shade, just being real |
How accurate are the numbers? How many of them are due to consolidation (i.e. one operator buys the other) |
sobmos:The trouble is: 1. the law does not say you will pay "foundation fee" only once 2. it also does not say what constitutes this fee. Say you build 3 bungalows, do you pay thrice? 3. they can ask for any amount 4. you'll be lured into paying one price for land, then be compelled to pay double once you're hooked Of course, this may not be the case today, but I can see how this foundation fee can evolve to be a monster over time |
Piuscrown:You can always move to the US where: - federal takes 20-30% income tax - states take 5-10% income tax - most states then charge 5-10% sales tax (goods and services) so you might end up paying 50% of your earned income in taxes of one form or another. Then the same governments turn around and charge income tax on the profits those companies made selling you a product or service. If you through the cycle several times, you'll realize that almost 80% of all money is eventually paid as tax to government. Only 20% goes to the actual cost of production. |
yusluvad:Please post samples of *your* work... |
Weekly review of policy... this does not a stable economy make. |
This is good. PDP should split, so we can have 3 major parties contesting elections. This could make things a bit more credible. |
hucienda:Yes oh, in 33 months this government will be gone |
AlphaCentauri:Not yet, but it will happen in Nigeria, as future generations migrate and intermarry more. I would happily vote for a competent governor, despite their origin. Even in the US, it is extremely difficult for somebody from Florida to become governor in California; and I imagine it will be impossible for some decades yet for a non-asian to be elected for even mayor in Japan. It took the US till 1963 to elect their only catholic president. Human beings are human beings, still the Europeans (Germany, Finland, England, etc) have been showing the rest of the world the way forward... |
Akshow:I would prefer the market decide how best to deal with cow skins. If processors make more money selling it as leather goods, then that's where they should sell it. That way gov't won't have to keep spending resources enforcing a ban, which of course will be circumvented by inventive Nigerians. We really have nice leatherworks and the industry needs to be upgraded, with a few luxury Nigerian brands too. I don't care if we export or not, but we should all be able to buy fancy leather bags, seats, shoes, etc. made in Nigeria. |
AlphaCentauri:E dey pain u? So far as there is no law barring them from contesting. In Nigeria, and most countries (and individual states), their constitutions says you must be a citizen to run for certain positions. For some positions, you must be a citizen from birth, and for others, for a period of time (say 7 years). If an oyinbo man can agree to vote for and respect an Igbo man... why can't you? So far as he's qualified. |
Vanillaskin:And what is wrong about this beautiful face? ![]() Anyways, the point of this thread is to appreciate the beauty of women from this part of Nigeria. There are other threads that highlight women from different parts of Nigeria. We appreciate them all. I'm not sure I understand the point of your post...

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? |
Princess4ng:Yes, and they didn't have modern medicine either... But I get your point. |
Princess4ng:In a "modern society" like we want to be, keeping to traditions from bygone eras just raises eyebrows: - we are not entirely sure it's fair to a 16-17 year old to decide her life for her - some men will insist on impregnating and keeping the girl at home, preventing her from a potential, fulfilling, career - underaged pregnancy is currently being linked to increased rates of incontinence and other reproductive issues - did the young girl agree to being a widow at 35? Maybe not in Sanusi's case, but chances are these men in their 60s and 70s won't make it past 80 The notion of early marriage might have made sense in agrarian times, when life expectancy was about 45 years, and women needed to give birth as often and early as possible, to deal with high infant mortality rates. There was little need back then to educate a girl (and indeed boys too) through to university to gain the skills, knowlege and skills needed for a high tech society. Our ancestors adapted culture to fit the existing circumstances. We owe it to them to adapt the culture they gave us to fit the new circumstances. |
Photoshop? But why would somebody make these fake pics of my darling Chike... Don't get me wrong, I know she can travel anywhere in the world, but these particular pictures look like a fan just slapped her pictures into some old pictures |
Nowhere is it done that a past president is blamed for current ills. In the US, for instance, their president is held responsible if inflation or unemployment increases. The guy does not hire or fire the working class, nor was he responsible for the banking & housing crises, but if things happens under his watch, he takes the blame, and doesn't start looking around to point fingers. Same could be said for Germany, UK, France, Japan. For 1 and half years now, a certain Baba from Daura became president and has been making decisions. We blame him squarely for the state of the economy. If he didn't want the blame, he should not have signed up for the job. He should also have carefully researched the situation before signing up. Jumping into such a big job unprepared is no excuse. |
Princess4ng:She's 19 today. She got married at 18, and was being courted/groomed around 16-17... ![]() |
All that potential economic growth destroyed!!! - ganja relaxes all those agberos, now they will be worse - would have added to Naija gdp if harvested and sold - gov't could even realize some VAT from the sales - could have earned us some forex if that was exported - you know about crop fallowing: corn and ganja one year, cassava and yam the next - burnaboy and friends are going to be less creative this year as a result - increase in rates of death due to high BP Not to mention the air pollution from burning all that crop. Choi, see wickedness, and they claim to support agriculture. |
IamLEGEND1:Chai, guy! ![]() |
GurlFriend:Ada had access to £400 back in ninety-kilidim. Damn... hard to imagine that there were such wealthy families from Ibgo land back then. And the sad thing is this pauper from England really was not on her level at all... Anyways, love nwantiti |
Truth234:Seriously, what is $30k per week for BDC? This is rubbishly small for our economy. Does Baba think Nigeria is still in the 60s? |
Baba, please drop the long talk. We know why Nigerians are suffering, and it is mostly because of you: - you took so long to take any decisions when you first came in - then you put in place a team of ministers that leave a lot to be desired - you spent time blaming the previous government instead of planning - you started hunting down opponents in the name of "corruption" - you made economic decisions that don't make sense in a modern economy - you tightened money supply, - your economic team flip-flops every two weeks on schedule - your government bans suddenly without any notice, schedule or explanation - your government misprioritizes gov't spending With all due respect, Baba, we are not convinced that you and your team are the best to lead us through these trying times. This is the position you wanted for 3 elections, please stop making excuses and make the country great. |
