Food / Re: Take A Look At The Pears I Got For 2k. How Much Is This In Your Area? by nextstep(m): 10:02pm On Aug 22, 2022 |
Ube is free for me. I have trees of them in my villa Tomatoes and peppers are also free most of the year cuz I plant them in my backyard. Just thought I'd mention it because sometimes we have to relearn how to farm for ourselves. I can't grow rice but at least I can make stew mostly for free. I realize its impossible for those who live in dense places like Lagos, but I feel the smaller towns offer a better overall quality of life 4 Likes |

What tactical peope do is: use intelligence to find kidnappers, flush them out, then finally annouce what you've accomplished. Elenu talk and talk about what they wish to do so that kidnappers, informants are all aware and can payoff the right people. I'll leave it to the dear reader to determine which group Kalu belongs. Islandlady: I am what many would call a masculine man, but what you said makes me feel that you need to reconsider the context and background for what's is happening. Feminization of men starts at birth, but used to be stemmed early: in times past, a young boy would go hunting and farming with the men as soon as 5 or 6, and thus be weaned off his mom and aunts. That's not been the case in the last 100 years. Modern day boys spend the vast majority of their youth in the company of women: 60-70% of primary education staff are women worldwide. And those women want boys to sit still, pay attention, seek to communicate, stop playing rough, and basically inculcate feminine skills. Lion cubs learn to hunt by play fighting, and similarly human male children. Preventing boys from doing what comes naturally supresses their masculine instincts. A good number of these boys then come home to a single-mother family, with aunts and grandmas because of "I don't need a man" mania. This is another complex issue but the long and short is there is no male "leader of the pack" to learn from. What masculine traits do you want a boy to pick up if he's not exposed to masculine energy? By the way, masculinity is being demonized, especially in the West. Boys are constantly being told that being a man is a bad thing, is toxic and overbearing. With words like manspreading and mansplaining used to beat it into their young heads that there's something wrong with expressing masculine traits. Society can't supress masculine behavior in boys, raise themto be effeminate, then complain that they're not masculine men when they grow up. I think it goes a lot deeper than inferiority complex or lack of courage. 2 Likes |

It's also funny to read how God is against men dressing feminine when He didn't even give them clothes to begin with! |

Op, fashion and trends change over time. What you call masculine dressing is 18-20th century European. If you look in the past you'll find men with togas, loincloths, kilts, skirts, gowns, tights, feathers, makeup, wigs, powder, beauty marks, etc. You are just a product of your times. There is no worldwide standard that lasts for all time how men should dress. You've showcased pictures of men that buck the modern "masuline" trend for whatever reason, but the truth is what you consider proper changes with time and space. By your standards - judging by clothing alone - our forefathers wore loincloths and what I will provocatively call skirts. Were they wrong? (I'm intentionally using the word skirt to show that it's not the material, nor the cut, but your own subjective opinion based on your time and culture that determines if you think it's masculine or feminine) 2 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Ado Doguwa: Don’t Blame Buhari For Security Crisis by nextstep(m): 6:13am On Aug 22, 2022 |
JAMO84: The basis of today is the past. Buhari convinced people he could achieve what Jonathan failed to do, yet failed woefully. If we forget the past, we will repeat the same mistakes. People forgot Buhari's failures in 1983, so we were doomed to experience his failures again. |

Don't blame the Commander In Chief of the armed forces for being an incompetent commander? If security is a shared responsibility, let us civilians also bear arms. Are we to fight bandits and kidnappers with catapults? |

Romance / Re: Ladies In Relationship With Men Who Earn ₦100k And Below, Please How Do You Cope by nextstep(m): 7:00pm On Aug 21, 2022 |
This kinda thread really annoys me. It insults ladies who make their own damn money. It also encourages leaches who dont want to go and work. The premise to this kind of post sounds like endorsing a lady who cannot - upon all the equal opportunity education that she got - pay for her own lifestyle, should instead be looking for a sponsor in the name of relationship. If a lady needs a man's salary to afford things, she should be looking for better paying work, enhancing her skills, starting her business, or dialing down her own lifestyle. Three generations of equal opportunity means women should enter relationships as equal partners ready and willing to take on the financial responsibilities of a family. 3 Likes |

Chillax bro. No be you get the belle. Pregnancy test after 2 weeks, but no pour? If she is pregnant, I'll bet 2k it's not yours. It can happen, but very rare for it to happen, according to what you said. However, IF she went behind your back and poured the contents of the second condom... well that's a different kettle of fish. At any rate, let the baby come, then do paternity test. If you are, welcome to fatherhood. If not, well, why stress? |

Mehn the self-righteousness on this topic is amazing. People casting stones left and right. Op, this is a case of let sleeping dogs lie. If he confronts you, deny it. It has happened and confessing it ain't going to make him feel better, and can put ur children at risk of being raised by another woman. As a married man myself, I don't want my wife telling me of an affair. What I don't know won't hurt me, and she can take that shit to the grave. 1 Like 1 Share |

My dear it's not because the married women are not keeping up. What about the guys that cheat on their side chick with a side-side chick? Oju kokoro na im do am. Beautiful, caring, sexy women have been cheated on, so it makes no difference. Truth is, man is not built for monogamy... we're as nature intended. Our laws and customs about marriage and life-bonds are not natural (less than 5% of mammal specied are monogamous, look it up). There is talk that monogamy developed as a social construct to stop rival males killing infants (like male lions do) |

gaby: Here's a sensible post, focused on the point of the story. I was thinking it was a steal too, but after seeing the state of those buildings, especially the roofs, I know there's going to be a lot of money and effort to restore them. But at the very worst, they have a home and could use that money for a mortgage in UK to build out this dream. It could work out especially if they make it a vacation destination (eg airbnb), but too much effort for me. 1 Like |

Earthquakes: It is a civil offense and not a crime. You take that to the courts, and not arrest the individual. Highest is financial penalties, not jail time. That is, in a working country where you don't call ur friend in police to bring his boys to arrest somebody who offended you. To wit: Crimes are generally offenses against the state (even if the immediate harm is done to an individual), and are accordingly prosecuted by the state. Civil cases on the other hand, typically involve disputes between individuals regarding the legal duties and responsibilities they owe to one another https://www.findlaw.com/criminal/criminal-law-basics/the-differences-between-a-criminal-case-and-a-civil-case.html |
