Barrywilly:Funny ha hah. Not really. Did you notice the shop owner also has a similar name? People lose sight of all the honest hardworking traders, bankers, teachers, engineers, lawyers, etc from that side and trot out these few bad apples. It's getting old. |
Evidence has shown that it also does not pay for a woman to put all her heart and soul into one guy... who might suddenly tell her he "needs some space". I think women should also be as free to mingle as the guys, but play it safe, because nature is not kind to women (e.g. a woman gets pregnant, but a guy can just clean mouth if he doesn't want the child) |
Keneking:To be fair Okowa has been dualizing and fixing roads, rehabilitating schools and much more. Witness the big project that is Opkanam road, redoing the roundabout and fixing the eyesore on Anwai road. And many rural communities are seeing new tarred roads |
pedronule:10k for transport can barely take you from PH to Lagos and back. Then stay in hotel and feeding for 1 week will take the remaining 20k. What is 30k for representing the country? And what is more annoying is all the fat cats will be collecting money with many zeros in it |
30k? For representing your country? E remain small govt will start charging our athletes fees. Smh ![]() |
Very good. Don't forget to remained married to your wife in a romantic way... all these romantic proposals, na only start dem get... no finish |
lucabrazzi:Are you trying to get the guy arrested? You know what will happen if he steps into the station. Remember bail is "free" |
Contact the police ke? Omo since once chance! ![]() Abeg leave police and their wahala far far from you. |
henrydadon:No place like home? Don't make me laugh. Have you seen how badly home treats its own citizens, talk less of players? At least there in England, you have a good chance of getting salary, health care, and light. Even if they throw a banana at you while you're playing... pick it up and eat. It's better than any treatment you'll get from officials, robbers, police, or mechanics here in Naija. |
Davash222:True, but which Nigerian company has invited her to come and launch any light project at home? Or which state or local government in Naija has bothered to do anything positive for rural areas this year? |
You smell jealousy? I smell it too... ![]() WTF is she saying? |
If this is the girl he was talking about... good for him. I'm jealous tho cuz I was about to bring palm wine and kola to Onyi's dad next week ![]() She also said something touching on her instagram a few days ago about finding a man who's loyal.. They will be good for each other sha. |
Onyiiiiiiiii!!!! Hew... my woman crush oh. ![]() But come o... at the rate this people are lightening, they will soon become transparent... abeg biko stop, oh. Abi is there a new camera that lightens skin for pictures? |
Well, the government is free to restrict, and the companies are free to keep away. GenBuhari: |
truthsayer007:Yes, a man should be a man; even in the US, offer to pay. If she's going dutch, it suggests to me that the relationship is not romantic, which implies you've not laid down a good foundation of game. I've never seen a girl refuse to be taken care of by a romantic partner. Even if she refuses, there are ways to offer in such a care free manner that no offense will be taken. If she ends up paying, don't be surprised she will use that fact in an argument 14 months in the future |
But the guy really fall hand. Is he trying to avoid being taken advantage of? Trying too hard to be "the man who don't pay for dates?" If you really are the man who doesn't pay for dates, the game should have been played differently. This lazy attempt is just embarrassing to true players. I really admire the girl for playing it cool, and getting out of the messy situation with such finesse. - you invite a girl out, yet expect her to deal with the logistics (car, where to go). You're a man, your duty is to handle this shit. - if you invite a girl out, be prepared to spend. Don't be unreasonable and overspend, and don't be taken for a fool. But in this case, this guy really was a cheap ass with little understanding of social etiquette. - there are so many girls who pay for their man... just not on the first few dates. And they pay serious too (clothes, rent, general upkeep) because you've won their hearts. Don't start being so vindictive about women just because she didn't take kindly to your stingy ass. - if you don't want to be put in the role of provider, take her out to fun places - parks, museums, free concert, cheap ice cream, someplace different and fun. When you decide you want to get serious, you won't have to front and be a cheapskate because by then you two would have something meaningful. Nobody is saying you have to take a girl out, but if you do, realize that even male birds bring gifts to their potential mates, and yes, often the female birds refuse because the size of the gift showed that the male was not serious. Final note: it's true there are girls who will milk you dry, but if you take time to understand her before asking her out, you'll know which one was which, and avoid the milkers. |
Hehe we're complaining about foreign companies when Nigerian companies do much much worse: - they can hold staff salary for months. So many people I know have not gotten salary for three months in different companies around Nigeria - when is the last time any of them paid the tax in the full amount due? - if you complain, they will ask you to go kia kia since there are many looking for your job - they can be abusive and some bosses beat their staff Until we learn to call Nigerian companies to account, all this noise about foreign companies is just noise. |
GenBuhari:The only thing that will happen if businesses can't repatriate their profits freely is that they will stop doing business here. It's already hard enough to do business here, why make it even harder? It seems our economic team have no idea that economies are global, and only production can make us competitive and strong, not all this protectionism. |
What's that dude that used to roll around with umbrella with P-diddy back in the day? Ahem... Fonzworth Bentley... Abeg tell this Lagos "big boy" to let what happened in early 2000's, stay in early 2000's. It's a silly look, ma niccuh, so just drop it. ![]()

With all this overspeeding and I-sabi-pass driving we do, what Nigerians really need is self-driving cars and trucks. If it has a steering wheel, ban it!!! ![]() You'll see accidents almost disappear |
See, these robbers are true gentlemen. Giving advanced notice, typed (not handwritten) letters, and they even advise on keeping some money in reserve, with terms and conditions if you refuse to keep to the agreement. ![]() Unlike our police force that extorts without warning for no reason Abeg forget what police told you. If I was to say pack and stay away for a while, the money used for transport can just go to the robbers, with much less hassle. |
Life may become a little more difficult over there, but it does not compare to the nonsense we go through here. ![]() |
If her mom is so tall, where did she go and get short from? I've been wondering if her mom was as short as she. Chi chi... So portable... See lips on that last pic ![]() |
Chai!!! Eleyi gidi gan oh. At least once you get through all those diapers you don't have to make more children. Hang up your boots man ![]() |
What I don't understand is: even after producing and importing his tomato paste from China into Nigeria, people will pay in Naira, abi? Where will he get the dollars to continue his operations as his revenue is in Naira? |
But these studios are looking nice... I really like the way the roof is hidden on the front and sides. Something I'm not too clear on: what did you use to protect the bare walls that stick above the roof? Did you use roofing sheet, or pure cement or what? Is it possible to get a picture of the complete roof from the top? |
Jethrolite:I think there are four ways of understanding the issue of capital vs income vs ongoing expenses: 1. you use your own money - this is why you'd need to recoup sunk capital (which takes 7-12 years), then you have real income 2. you use the banks - you still need to repay with interest (and fund a down payment), but your tenants repay your loan 3. you leverage a developer's capital, and you get rental income from the first year 4. you invest in real estate companies, and get dividends from that All but the first involve leverage. In the first two, ultimately, you also have an asset that you can sell, in addition to getting rent In the last two, you get rental income, but at the end of the day, the properties are not "yours" Ideally, you'd want to pursue all four options, to minimize risk, gain assets, as well as leverage other people's money For most of us to get into the game, we need at least one or two properties built with option 1, because that it what you can later use as collateral as you pursue options 2-4 |
Police na wa for una. Kia kia na so una just arrest person. How much did they pay you people to mobilize? Just looking for their own piece of the action, after all, bail is "free" smh ![]() |
Answer... stop drinking so much alchohol ![]() |
We won't deport all the people ruining Nigeria from Aso rock, but we can deport harmless Nigeriens. |
I agree, but punishments should fit the crime. Not sure how we got from "consensual acts conducted in private" to "armed robber taking lives" People like trotting out these worst-case analogies as if they're equivalent. We also believe in tempering justice with mercy. emperorchedda: |
I hear you, but it's one thing for the justice to take place in the courts, and it's quite another for her to get lynched because somebody decided to take the law into their hands. Also, the fact that a law exists does not make it just or fair. There are numerous cases around the world of laws being overturned/amended through popular protests and individual actions. emperorchedda: |
