Judge Marcela Garmendia had ordered the arrest of the former escape from the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB), but her lawyer managed to keep him free through the appeal. Faced with the uncertain future, the priest committed suicide.


The Criminal Cabinet of the Buenos Aires Police worked Monday night at Caritas headquarters in La Plata, located at the intersection of 4th and 49th streets.

Lorenzo, prosecuted for aggravated sexual abuse on five occasions, had been on the verge of detention on Monday following the order of Judge Marcela Garmendia, but his lawyer, Afredo Gascon, managed to delay the arrest by appealing before the Chamber of Guarantees.

Eduardo Lorenzo had sworn to be innocent in an interview with TN.com.ar, but the results of a psychological expertise were overwhelming: the priest had "psycho, perverse, narcissistic and obsessive" traits.

Eugene Police want to identify any additional possible victims of a Eugene man facing rape and sex abuse charges.

Edward Samuel Thompson, 40, of Eugene was arraigned Tuesday after being indicted on 5 counts of Rape I, [/b]5 counts of Sodomy[b] I and 5 counts of Sex Abuse I.

"The charges are related to a case involving [/b]a minor of less than 12 years in age[b] that occurred between 2012 and August 21, 2018," according to Eugene Police.
Thompson has been in custody since his arrest by the FBI and Eugene Police [/b]for possession of child pornography in August 2018.[b]

"At the time of his arrest, it was reported that Thompson was a long-term member and a music ministry leader at Christ Fellowship Church in Eugene and former member of Eugene Faith Center," Eugene Police said. "Police also received information that Thompson has traveled outside of Oregon during the timeframe that the charges occurred, to include locations in Montana, Idaho, California and Arizona."

Eugene Police "are concerned about the potential of additional victims," the department said in a statement.

Using the handle “DILF,” Barry Cole Poyner, 57, allegedly [/b]tried to bed hot college-age guys by offering to pay for gas, clothes and roast beef sandwiches, police told the Kirksville Daily Express.[b]

The Church of Christ elder — who is also a professor at nearby Truman State University — was busted after a student reported him and a cop went undercover on the app, according to the paper.
Poyner allegedly sent the officer a message saying he “would love to have a sugar daddy relationship” —then offered to fill up his gas tank in exchange for sexual favors on Dec. 3, according to the paper. If the younger guy was willing, Poyner said, he “might throw in an Arby’s card LOL.”

Instead, Poyner was greeted by officers at the gas station, where he tried to flee, according to the paper.

When he was pulled over a few blocks away, he allegedly told police he “was not doing anything with a minor” and was only “trying to help” by offering gifts to men on the app.

[/b]He was charged with patronizing prostitution[b] and faces up to six months behind bars.

Truman State has since suspended Poyner. It wasn’t immediately clear if he was still in his leadership role at the Church of Christ, which has made homophobic comments in the past.
