PoliticsRe: Anti-Buhari Protesters Outside Chatham House Interviewed On Video by nigerhead(m): 3:03pm On Feb 26, 2015
Clueless Young people. And that young man at the end shouting that Umaru Dikko was kidnapped?!!! How can any right thinking person even use that as an argument against Buhari. He obviously doesnt know who Umaru Dikko was or what he did.

At least if you are going to be paid to do something, find out a little information about what you are doing there na.
And notice they were all young people there, obviously they were paid, if you feel strongly enough about something that you can come out to carry placards, then no camera interview would suddenly make you shy, because you already know what you are there for.
PoliticsRe: Boni Haruna Cries After Seeing Boko Haram Destruction In Adamawa (Pics) by nigerhead(m): 10:42am On Feb 20, 2015
My issue with all these people going to cry after BH has wrecked havoc, is that they never seem to act or speak out as at when due. It is now that elections are near, we suddenly hear that President GEJ can now visit places like Maidugiri, or he is partying with widows of slain soldiers, or visiting the camps of IDPs. It just seems to reek of insincerity.

If your child or parents were kidnapped or killed, the government refuses initially to even acknowledge your loss or present difficulty, and then blame the opposition party for disseminating propaganda against them, even insinuating that they collude with the BokoHaramists; but suddenly when its election time, the same government agents start visiting and crying with you; should any right thinking person assume they are being sincere?

Part of my issue with the accusation against the opposition party is that the FGN has alot more resources at its disposal than these supposed "opposition" traitors, at least by now they should have investigated and brought out some irrefutable and actionable proof of the collusion between the said parties. Instead all we hear is insinuations and unsubstantiated accusations every single day.
PoliticsRe: 12 Reasons To Support Jonathan’s Re-Election - Presidency by nigerhead(m):
5million Nigerians now use trains, adonbilivit! ...proof needed. I aint doubting ya trains, but 5million people use them from where to where?

And where is this massive improvement in electricity? because I dont see it, by God's grace I stay in a relatively well to do area, but we run generator throughout the day. Today, we have had light for only 2 hours, so where is this light Mr Jonathan.

I just dont understand why people come and say such obvious lies. Thats how someone was saying there is massive improvement once you step out of the airport; well I landed at MMA International wing and it still looks like the same old building and doesnt look international, dont let me start with that Airport road lipsrsealed , and people come and shout that Jonathan has changed everything.

He has done some good things from what I hear : Trains, Farmer's fertilizers, Benin-Ore road, and some other roads, some diversification of the economy. But the damage he has done or allowed to be done by the people around him is far outweighing the "good". What has he done that has directly changed the way of life of the common man. OBJ as rubbish as he was, paved the way for the Telecom and IT revolution we are enjoying today, till he dies, hate him or love him, you cannot deny that.

A country that had almost al it debts cancelled, its foreign reserves at an all time high, and oil price soaring for a majority of Mr Goodluck's tenure, is suddenly in the midst of a growing debt burden again and has depleted foreign reserves. What has he done in terms of capital expenditure that can account for this state of things.

Leadership is about influencing people to act for the greater good of the people, but our dear president is obviously not influencing anyone but is rather been influenced. Part of it stems from his obvious lack of intellectual depth.

Abeg, rant over. Its a pity that young ones that are supposed to think intellectually cannot, but are caught up in Ethnic and religous bigotry.
PoliticsRe: FG Denies Operating Excess Crude Account by nigerhead(m): 12:30pm On Feb 04, 2015
fandango:
As far as am concerned, the Federal Government, the 36 states and 774 councils all share from the excess crude account. The opposition delibrately lied when when giving impression that the "Federal Government squandered" the money, knowing full well that the money is shared by all tiers of Government. It was public knowledge that the governors went to court seeking a declaration that the excess crude account is illegal.
However to address the power crisis in the country, the National Economic Council, made up of all governors and chaired by the vice-president,agreed that the sum of $4.6bn be withdrawn from excess crude acount to finance the National Integrated Power Projects(NIPP),Niger Delta Power Projects, amd Mambilla Power Projects. This was widely reported in the media. This can not be classified as squandering, except we have become cynical that any government expenditure at all-including paying salaries -amounts to squandering.
Felow NLs check the source of the news and alegation its NATION and opposition. They are ill wind that blows nobody goods.
Chairman, the majority of the governors are PDP governors and not "opposition governors". The Federal goverment cannot in one breath tell us that they are sharing money from an "Excess Crude Account", then now go to court and say there is no such excess crude account.

LET ME ASK YOU DOES THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT PAY IMPORT DUTIES FOR IMPORTING ANYTHING INTO NIGERIA huh? IT ALSO COSTS THEM NO DIME TO USE CARGO PLANES IN IMPORTING BUSES OVERNIGHT , A NUMBER OF THESE SAME GOVT OFFICIALS HAVE PRIVATE JETS TALKLESS OF CARGO PLANES. SO SIT RIGHT, FYI, SOMETIME AGO NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT GRANTED WAIVERS TO VARIOUS TOP RELIGIOUS ORGANISATIONS INCLUDING RCCG AND THEIR LIKES TO THE TUNE OF BILLIONS OF $$$ . DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT AMOUNT COULD HAVE DONE AND CAN DO TO NIGERIA'S ECONOMY huh? THEN YOU GO TO THE PORT TO CLEAR A 10 YR OLD CAR AND YOU ARE ASKED TO BRING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS. THERE IS POLITICS IN EVERY SETTING IN NIGERIA , ROGER THAT AND STOP FIGHTING FOR A COUNTRY WHO HAS DONE YOU NO GOOD WHATSOEVER. OR CAN YOU PLEASE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE THINGS YOU HAVE BENEFITED FROM NIGERIA'S OIL MONEY BEING THE 6TH LARGEST OIL PRODUCER IN THE WORLD huhhuhhuhhuhhuh? OR YOU ARE NOT A CITIZEN OF NIGERIA AND DESERVE NO ENTITLEMENTS huh??
What kinda fuckery are you spilling outta ya mouth this afternoon, we are not talking about 5 buses, or 10 buses or even 100 buses, we are talking about 1100 buses, (or wasnt it 1600 buses they said before). Even if you pay all the money in this world it is logistically impossible to fly in 1100 (1600) buses in two days. Or was all air traffic stopped for two days, even if tht happened, how many diesel buses can one cargo plane carry na. Please engage ya medula oblangata jor.

Most peeps are not against the subsidy removal, what we are against is being taken for a ride as usual, while our blood is being drained. ITS ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE. The governmnt cannot be awrding itself jaw dropping sums to take care of its welfare and then be removing the little the masses still have and expect it to be business as usual.

I had to scroll to the top to check if I was in the jokes section and someone had decided to type out some sick joke. I dont think any right thinking human being that has seen even a ten minute clip of that video will come out and say such rubbish, talk-less of someone tht is meant to be securing us. Even if she had wanted to have sex at the start, it rapidly became obvious she didnt want to do it again after sometime, so why were the guyz behaving like dogs. Please its still early in the morning, I dont want to be angry first thing this morning.

I pray you get delivered from whatever is worrying you, before it permanently spoils your rep, in this your old age.

SECONDED , it is really a pity.

@Ricky_Ross , an eye for an eye makes everyone blind. In trying to answer that goat, you are beginning to talk like him. That's why they say silence is the best  answer for a fool, bcoz ultimately the fool will become a victim of his folly.

grin grin grin ,  who was in charge of this country one year ago? I swear this our president is an expert at putting his own foot up his nyash. And some people will come here to defend his actions and in-action. The double anointing of go-slow from President Yaradua is evidently at work in President Jonah's life.

He said they are spending on too many projects at the same time. Please prioritize the most important one and do it well before moving to another. Abi all this economic advisers wey you de spend all our money untop get their own degree from Toronto?
CultureRe: Is It An Abomination To Change Your Native Name? by nigerhead(m): 5:52pm On Aug 25, 2011
Why wont I change such a name, if I were the one. That is part of why some peoples life are backward. Why should you be food for your ancestors; the one wey dem don chop never do dem? The guy suppose even follow go beat him Mama and Papa for village, why dem go give their son that kin name?

As for the question, as far as I know it is not an abomination to change your native name, I'm from the South-West and I see people changing their names regularly, though its mostly influenced by them becoming Christians.

FoodRe: Nigerian Girls And Their Horrible Cooking by nigerhead(m): 9:05pm On Aug 22, 2011
my 2cents , that a girl must know how to cook does not mean that she must cook all the time: two different things; datz for all you ladies that jump at guys dat complain that girls cant cook.

Well, I would think that majority of the guys will happily help out in the kitchen (I for one would), but if the wife cannot cook simple meals at all, then there is big fire on the mountain.

I would quickly add that majority of the Nigerian girls I have met know how to cook. So maybe the OP has just being unlucky grin.

Car TalkRe: Is Drunk Driving A Crime In Nigeria? by nigerhead(m): 3:30pm On Aug 21, 2011
How can it be a crime when the Police men that are supposed to catch the DUIs are also under the influence of alcohol?

I really dont understand what the FRSC does anymore, maybe they are underfunded, they are not as ubiquitous as the Police and I can guarantee that they would also be underfunded massively, so how are they going to catch up with drunk drivers?
CelebritiesRe: Eldee And Nigerian Copyright Commision Battle Tecno Over Infringement by nigerhead(m): 10:08am On Aug 20, 2011
TEACH the Techno people a lesson, no settling outside court. I hope our copyright laws are strong enough to deal them a lesson they wont forget in a long while, and also teach other foreigners that treat us with disdain. Nigeria has good and bad parts but it doesn't make us less than human beings.
PoliticsRe: Orji Declares 70 Per Cent Of Aba Structures Illegal by nigerhead(m): 9:14am On Aug 20, 2011
cheesy cheesy cheesy , this Governor wants to play with his future, you have rightly recognized that almost all these structures are owned by TRADERS who do not take it lightly with anyone toying with their business.

On a serious note, I would think that if 70% of your city is illegal buildings and you have a predominantly illiterate trader population that does not recognise the need for proper city planning, instead of trying to destroy the entire 70% cant there be a way to work around and adjust the city plan to accommodate these illegalities. The goverment would only then destroy buildings that cannot be accommodated in anyway. That way less problems are created between the governor and his people.

I no be CIty Planner but, I think that should be the way forward.

RomanceRe: The Ideal Man Or Woman Does Not Exist! by nigerhead(m): 7:06am On Aug 19, 2011
Of course there is no ideal man or woman, anybody that is looking for one is on a loooooooong thing. I'm sorry to say, but I think its a disease that affects too many girls. They keep looking for the ideal guy.

I used to think I was one of the ideal guys, but now I have shine my eye, what you think is ideal is total rubbish to someone else. I'm looking for someone I can fit in with and can fit in with me, like a jigsaw puzzle, two distinct pieces but have that vital link that holds them together firmly so that you get the full picture. Hope it makes a lil sense. undecided

When is Baba Iyabo's birthday, just cant wait to see what IBB will say to him. The two old farts are getting senile and have too much time and money (our collective money) on their hands.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Vs Real Madrid: 3 - 2 (2nd Leg Spanish Cup Final) by nigerhead(m): 4:53pm On Aug 18, 2011
Mourinho is a muppet. He's always getting involved in stuff that he should leave the assistants to do. When the fight broke out, Guardiola wasnt in the thick of it, but Mourinho just hd to carry that his square head and go look for trouble. I didnt like him much b4, but this his attitude is starting to annoy me. He should behave like a coach that has gone to 3 differnt clubs proven his mettle and won championships; a coach with CLASS. He is turning Real Madrid into rugby bullies, and he will soon reap a whirlwind of red cards if he doesnt talk to his boys and tell them to cool it.

Real had better control of the two games but failed to make it count by scoring the goals. In the end I guess Messi was the difference.

AS for all the diving, anybody that has watched LaLiga for a while will tend to agree that it is a Spanish thing, I have seen it time and time again, although in last season's meeting btw the two clubs, Barcelona took the diving up another notch.

smh @ the folks here who dont know the difference btw a missing person and a kidnapped / Abducted person ,

We know our police are incompetent alot of the time, but in this case there is nothing wrong with what they have said. As long as there is no evidence leaning on the kidnap theory, then the man is missing. People go missing everyday in Naija.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Wants Churches To Investigate The Sources Of Huge Tithes by nigerhead(m): 9:10am On Aug 17, 2011
Yes-Yes , churches today have a moral responsibility to find out where some tithes come from. A large number of Pastors have failed in this respect; I think.

BUT; Mrs EFCC should first of all remove the log from her eye before she starts pointing at the speck in church's eye, and unless the report was taking out of its context, I dont see why she should single out the church, IBB is one of the biggest thieves this country has seen, and I am pretty sure he goes to a mosque and he makes donations and all, so she should also direct her statement to the mosques too. I fear some of our leaders lack traits of diplomacy and common sense, why should she make such a statement and direct it at just christians.
