Hello Justwise,
Please i want to apply for a Uk visa to attend a 6 day conference in scotland. The program is related to my job description and both i and my employer will benefit immensely. I already have an invitation letter from the organizers who advised that we shouldn't pay the conference fee just yet but to get the visa first before doing so. My employer (a private university) will sponsor all that concerns the conference. My salary is not much (100k in naira) though by april when i hope to drop application, i should have about 800/850k in savings. The university is going to support the application with the university's bank statement.
The challenge here is that i have had 3 denials from 3 embassies (US 2014-travel history, Canada 2014-travel history and purpose of visit and Ireland 2017- plenty reason, some of which are : previous refusals, insufficient funds (1.2m), No clear link with reference (host/my aunt who invited me) etc.
My fear is what this will do to the possibility of getting this visa
Pls, what do you think. Will appreciate your advice.

My case is very similar to yours. I was still refused in as much as my employer was my sponsor for a training. The onus remains on me as a person. They said I am single, no dependent children and earnings not too strong. Even with fixed deposit over 15m through the sale of my inherited grandma ppty. That wasn't their concern.

If you are married or with kids and ur income say a minimum of 150k, you stand a chance considering my own experience.

So sad. May her family be comforted.

Apart from my employment. I have a registered business with CAC (a long time ago) which I still get some income from though quite erratic.

So talking about submitting CaC, is it safe to also submit the CaC document as my side business with proof it belongs to me and that I intend starting full operation in the near future? or I shld just overlook submitting the CaC. and ofcox I hv no tax on it.

A friend of mine who is self employed did not submit his tax remittance and was issued visa. he picked it up on Monday.
