Hmmms, This sounds sweet, without insults?. It depends on the definition of radical urgency u meant. Some could do well while others could be to the detriment of the office. I think what we need is a functional outline of the needs to be met security wise and ability to get the right person without first playing the politics of ethnicity or paddy paddy as well as giving adequate provision for those that would carry out the job.

There is no way a man whose life is dependent on the N20 life would give his best. A man who after dieing in active service would have his family thrown out of the quarters in less than one month. A man who does not know his fate even though he is expected to either die or get result.

We need a good hand, we need adequate funding and we also need improved welfare for those that would fight this menace.

Just read what you just typed there: does it read reasonable to you? Before Fashola got into power, Lagos State was a Den of Armed Robbers, killing people and robbing banks at will. Within his first tenure, he brought the crime wave down to a very low-level. It wasn't done with magic, it was done by making common-sensical decisions promptly.

See, I have no sympathy for GEJ because I know he is not up to the task. Let me give an example, David Mark may be arrogant and not-to-be-trusted with our economy, but in terms of security, he would have done a better job. I don't like him but I am objective enough to recognise his capacity to deal with Boko Haram.

Ringim boasted that Boko Haram was defeated, barely 2 days later they attacked Police Headquarters! If that is not incompetence, I don't know what is. Okay, tell me what Ringim and Jonathan's clear and detailed plan to defeat Boko Haram is- not just vague declarations.

I wouldn't care about people like you, but it is just that GEJ in his simple mind reads comments like yours and thinks he is doing something useful to move Nigeria forward when it is obvious that we are retrogressing under his leadership.

things like this causes conflict, first they said it was the police commissioner and went as far as to say that ringim was behind it, sahara reporters claiming it was a mob of youth, and after that happened they started to arrest everyone in the street including those that were passerbys, now they are arresting the emir, why? the police and the media alike is totally toothless

And even if there was a subsidy that needed to be removed, have they not just simply moved it from one cabal (oil importers/NNPC/PPPRA, etc) to another (state governors, FG, etc) while I have to pay more for fuel?

I want Nigeria succeed under Jonathan but I tell you, the signs are ominous.

1. Who imposed the removal of subsidy on them at the time they did and the manner they went about it?

2. How come the President exonerated MEND from the Ocober 1, 2010 bombing (without/before investigation) and said he knew those that did it?

3. How come soldiers were deployed to quell peaceful protests in a democracy?

4. What happened to the external reserves account?

5. Who imposed the thoughtless and wasteful 2012 budget on them?

I have not seen where these people are connected with Gen.Bbuhari or CPC. It is either that Jonathan's name and phone number is found with Niger Delta terrorist or a gun-runner is an allied of V.P Sambo or a PDP senator is arrested in connection with Boko Haram. With PDP, our sufferness is yet to start. A country of over 150 million fools and cowards.
