TOTORIMI, i do not know your age, educational background, and your level of exposure in life but you really need to grow up mentally. How can you spew such hatred and bitterness on this young lady just because she had a tattoo and because she smokes. i do not smoke and i do not like tattoos, but how does it hurt me or our society if Tonto Dike chooses to inscribe whatever she likes on her body. You claim that Nigeria is a nation of high moral values, well i think you may be living in an illusory island somewhere in space because the Nigeria we all know is totally morally bankrupt. there are churches and mosques in every nook and crannies, yet our society is rotten. Almost every segment of that country called Nigeria is heading in the wrong direction, nothing works and you are raving in this forum simply because a young lady had a tattoo which, as SIENA pointed out in his post, had been an integral part of African cultures and traditions for centuries. It is none of my business if anyone smokes or had a tattoo. |

totorimi, you are mentally sick,whatever you smoke or drink,nomatter the kind of tattoo you inscribe on your body(i`m not a fan of tattoos), irrespective of your intimate preference, so long as you are not hurting anyone and you are not committing any crime,you are entitled to live your life the way you choose. you should learn to be tolerant of other people`s views and lifestyles especially when those views and lifestiles differ from yours.Tonto Dike may be living and working in Nigeria, but technological advancements have made the world a global village ,every movie she features in is watched across the globe. You will be suprised to discover that those that adoreher because ofher lifestyle outnumber people like you that despiseher. some of the cultures and traditions you glorify where you live, as you pointed out in your post,will be laughed off in other parts of the world. Grow up totorimi, be tolerant of other folks lifestyles. |

Drinking alcohol while on official duties is very rampant within the nigerian police force (the name should be changed to nigerian police service). In police checkpoints around the country, you will see them openly drinking alcohol I just came back from 9ija last week. i travelled from lagos to onitsha on 1/10/11 by road and passed through many police checkpoints. On getting to the onitsha end of the river niger bridge, i was stopped once again for extortion. the sergent that examined my vehicle`s papers handed the papers over to their boss b/c of unavailability of duty card which the nigerian custom service claimed is out of stock, the boss was sitting under an umbrella drinking a can of star beer in full view of the general public. Nigerian police needs a radical surgical overhaul. |

The kenyan police as well as the nigerian authourities investigated and absolved this man of any wrong doing. he deserve his job back. he is an extremely lucky man. serious allegations like that would have destroyed his name and carear. any woman that goes to such lenght to frame her husband should be feared. |

Is Nigeria jinxed, eletricity-wise?. Why have the power sector been so epileptic for so many decades inspite of this kind of talk and trillions of dollars sunk into the sector by successive admistrations.Why is it that countries less endowed with human, material and financial resources enjoy stable power supply whereas the so called "giant" of Africa wallows in darkness. This is akin to an individual who is super wealthy and sick, and have expended a great deal of money towards his recovery but all was in vain. |

Breeze5000, you hit the nail at the head several times, the only credible voice on this mercy johnson saga. I know that Lovely is withholding a lot of info to protect herself and that Prince chap. what baffles me is why he`s escalating the situation. He should be on bended knee, appealing to Lovely and doing his best to placate her. Lovely is embittered that someone she supported and took risks with dumped her after their hustles bore fruits. what real men do in this kind of scenario is to pay off the lady with an offer she will find irresistible. By the way, Breeze, i will like to know the unprintable aspects of this drama. |

My wife shipped a Mitsubushi L300 van filled to the brim with ladies shoes and clothings to lagos from the uk and travelled to Nigeria with our six months old baby girl to market the items. The vehicle was cleared and brought out today and to our utter shock and dismay, the vehicle was broken into through the boot inspite of the fact that the boot and the two sliding doors were well welded, and over 90% of the contents was stolen.Even the two boxes of nappy for our baby`s use during their sojourn in Nigeria was also stolen.Why are we Nigerians so heartless?. |

Although i was born and bred in a very strict christian (catholic) family, i do not subscribe to a blanket condemnation of everything about other religions, particularly islam, just because i`m a christian. There are some great islamic personalities and institutions around the world, one of which is the controversial islamic bank. Can anyone tell me what`s wrong with islamic bank which operates freely in the western world from where christianity came to our shores?. if i apply for a N20m loan from any of the existing comercial banks, the interest rate will be very high. If the islamic bank grants me the same loan, interest free, will i reject it just because it`s islamic?. Certianly not. |
