I'm surprised people have to be told? ![]() If you are constantly worried about your personal stuff, either keep it secure privately by not bringing it to a public space, or make sure you keep it with you at all times. Accusing people of what they did not do but what is in your mind, especially if you are a church goer, is wrong. |
That's evil. |
It was safe before you mean? ![]() |

Perfection and the study of language have nothing to do with each other, are you referring to something else? ![]() |
Most of us dont have opinions that reflect the above. Nigerians in particular tend to get physically uncomfortable at the thought of anyone being different. What do you think it's like say being in the spotlight all the time as a public persona? |
Btw, any scriptural verses for the povs here? |
Its interesting how our viewpoints and the way we answer a question, reflect our minds. |
@ pictures The second photo is a modified version of the first cake. It looks fairly ok to me. |
slimjohn2k5:Really? |
I think that's a picture of the old passport. |

Cook or buy snacks and give to others next time. Sorry. |
Hugging is not included, what I am talking about is deliberate and disrespectful invasion of someone's personal space for reasons unknown. The person might be too frightened to object thus they remain silent even though they are not comfortable with the behaviour. I'm not sure most Nigerians understand the meaning of personal space. |

Bible verse/s that support your theory? |
MuttleyLaff:Gen 5:4 Adam lived 800 years |
You should notice Yoruba itself has "ba" included. This context sounds more like "to meet" ie indigenes of a place. |
Most Nigerians in your situation usually get married and start their own homes. People might also offer you the option of prostitution, I would think carefully before going into that. Marriage shouldn't prevent you from learning a trade. |
Let me begin this discussion. Surprisingly, instead of anger as a character trait I expect to be stereotyped with, I most often find people associate me with sexual innuendo and prostitution. I often wondered if this is due to the permissive and sexually liberated Nigerian society of nowadays or if people are actually assuming sex is what I'm about. |
allow us. |
For people who are stereotyped as prone to violent behaviour ie easily provoked, do these stereotypes apply to you as a person? Do you like or dislike this nature? |
na today? ![]() You cant move with Nigerians and not be in danger. |
olumide3367:no rules were broken. |
I pointed out on the other thread Ba also means to meet, ie indigenes of a place. O ba in this context can be a term of respect referring to people you met after you arrived. ie those who preceded you. |
Ba means to meet. O ba in this context can be a term of respect for indigenes of a place. ie people you meet somewhere when you arrive. |
What traits or attributes ascribed to your culture do you personally have? Do these traits define you or are you bucking the trend? If yes, why? If no, do you feel more comfortable with the stereotype and why do you think you are not like that? |
Also, anyone not in a group is considered an outcast, or vice versa. Independent thinking is frowned on. |
eg someone asking if it's a sin to drink on Jan 1. You're already drinking, why does the date matter? ![]() |
that's why they always ask is this a sin or is that a sin. We have to be told what to do in order to avoid breaking taboos, everything is considered taboo unless given permission. |
