needful: You don't need a contact. Just get their email online and email them, and someone would respond your email with the appropriate forms. At least that was how I opened my stanbic account, as well as my GTB and first bank account. I used my father's contact in Zenith to open a Zenith account, but since you don't have a contact, just do as I stated above. Good luck and happy investing! 1 Like |

eagleeye2: When I first heard about tbills, I didn't come here asking stupid questions. I first of all researched about it, then found this thread and read extensively on it; I am talking of months of reading up on tbills befor making my first investment. So while the adage is right that person wey ask questions no go miss road, let those questions not be "what's the difference between primary and secondary market". I wanna blow my brains out when I see such questions, and I wouldn't be surprised at the number of people that have left this thread cause of such questions. Soon, I'm gonna join the que and leave this thread cause of such repetitions here. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Here's what I propose: onwards, when someone asks a question that has been discussed here several times, we should just ignore them; don't even tell them to read previous pages. Person wey serious to invest em money no go wait for anyone to tell am to read previous pages to educate themselves on how to use their hard earned Naira. Thanks. 5 Likes |

ahiboilandgas: It was Zenith bank. They don't ask for ID cause they assume you are the owner of the account. I thought at least they would have your information pop up on their screen before handing cash to people, but nah they just handed over 600k to my girlfriend without even noticing she was female and the owner of the account is male |

hustla: It is not safer walking into banks either. I have put this to test. I was at the bank with my girlfriend to withdraw money. I gave her the withdrawal slip to see if they would flag her as a fraud. Can you believe that babe handed them the slip and they handed her six hundred thousand Naira. If you ask me, you're more likely to forge my signature and walk out of a bank with my money, than to get into my email or online banking. In fact, long story short, email/internet banking is safer. #DontArgueWithMe 3 Likes |

Okay let's talk about GTB. Last two auctions, they debited and credited me back two times before finally getting it right the third time. This last auction, I requested tb of 781,000. They did tb of 700,000. What is wrong with GTB?? 1 Like |

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nnamz(m): 11:39pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
CompareDBest: Okay no 2 is really good for sending money from Canada to Nigeria cause of its low fees and higher rates, however, you cannot send more than 900 Canadian Dollars. With world remit, you can send up to 40,000 dollars for a charge of 1 cent (you get charged 1 cent between 2000.01 and 40,000), however if you wanted to send amount lower than 2000.01 CAD you would be charged between 1.99 and 24.99. Long story short: if you are sending less than 900 dollars, use no. 2 ^^ (ping express) (they charge like 8.99 dollars for sending 900 dollars whereas world remit would charge you 21.99 as shown in my picture below, just to send 900 dollars). If you're sending 2000.01 or more dollars, use world remit. Sorry for long post lol. 5 Likes 1 Share

I read comments that i-invest app is good for people overseas as they do not have to walk into a bank. For those overseas, please ignore these comments. Avoid i-invest. You do not need to walk into a bank to open a bank account, or do treasury bills. I have four Nigerian bank accounts: Zenith, GTB, First, and StanBic, and I did not open any while in Nigeria. I do tbills every two weeks and I have never walked into a bank for that. So you do not need to be in Nigeria, or even be Nigerian to open a bank account or participate in tbills. Again, avoid i-invest to avoid stories that touches the heart; learn from others mistakes. A word (well few words) is enough for the wise. 5 Likes |

Ironically, same people wishing tbills rate goes up to 17% are the very same people crying over the Naira depreciating. The higher and juicier our tbills rates are, the more useless our Naira is. So please keep that in mind the next time you go on your knees and ask God for 18% tbills. 4 Likes |

Blov: You forgot to mention that they do not give you your interest upfront. The power of tbills is compounding interest, so not getting your interest right away for reinvestment defeats the whole point of doing tbills. If you know..... |

jidobaba: My brother ask me ooooo. Even his own brothers and sister in-laws have been trying to get him to at least travel small. Dude had never been on a plane until his younger brother forced him to accompany him to China in 2016. My guess is that he doesn't want to risk it in business investments, so would rather keep it with interests. When he goes to the great beyond, na em children go chop am 1 Like |
