Your statement is incomplete sir, you forgot to include that you wont forgive Buhari too, because Buhari too is going to jail you. The new musician in town named Sambo Dasuki has already mentioned your name in the Armsgate album that he is releasing. EFCC is till trying to authenticate that you Bode George too collected money from the ATM (Dasuki), wait till EFCC finishes its investigation, then you will know that you wont forgive Buhari too for sending you to 100 years in jail.

Meanwhile, this time around you shall be happy in jail because your pretty wife who has no military of paramilitary training but is now heading NDLEA will be investigated too and if she has soiled her hands with blood money like you, then you shall be in jail together just like James Ibori, his wife, mistress and sister-in-law plus theri lawyer are in jail in Oyinbo land. If however, your pretty wife is also pretty inside as she is pretty outside, then she would not have soiled her hands with blood money and so will not be in jail with you. Instead, she will be inherited by Bola Ahmed Tinubu your very good friend and brother as part of Yoruba inheritance culture.

Nice piece! My friend, I hope you won't be the one to be wailing after the economy has been totally destroyed. Fighting corruption is fine and commendable but that is not all that is wrong with Nigeria.

You can take that to the bank.
Tackle corruption, decimate the number of corruption club, let people in government know that one day they will be held accountable for their misdeeds while in government, checkmate the tide of corruption, block the leaks and you would have solved our problem by about 80%.

We are not expecting PMB to be a saint but already, his sainthood has been assured by the revelations of the past months. Now, the issue here is about war on corruption and not about PMB's overall performance which as well could be started on a fresh section.

Wrong timing, i really feel for Kanu, this should have happened to him a year ago in which case Stella Oduah would have taken him to Oga Jona who would have instructed Dasuki to do the needful.......

But wait o, think its good timing because if it had happened as thought above, may be by now Kanu would be cooling off at EFCC custody and he too would have come out to say the money he got from Dasuki was to compensate him for spending so much on THe Kanu Foundation.....

Seriously i really pray he survives this.

I'm pained by what I read everyday. This obviously is not how to run any Nation; creating tension, locking people up, throwing accusations left, right and center will only distract the govt from its real purpose of providing good governance and securing the well-being of its citizens. There are serious problems plaging the Nation rather than solve the problems, this govt is busy going round to look for who to blame for the problems and gullible supporters are busy rejoicing. How much will be recovered from this exercise compared to the needs of this nation. Sorry, if this govt continue in this manner without a change in strategy, Nigeria may be hit hard by their inaction and negligence. It's not a warning, it's already happening and more will come if care is not taken. For the gullible supporter; this wasn't the change they promised you. Take it or leave it!

First was the balderdash from father and son, the Dokpesis and now another swan song from Obaigbena. To think that these are the guys controlling some of the finest crop of journalists in Nigeria has totally changed my perception about the profession.

Look at the lame excuses, haba, a roadside mechanic can do better. The questions are:

i. Of all the victims of Boko Haram terrorism in Nigeria how come it was only Thisday that was singled out for compensation.

ii. Which court of law approved the compensation.

iii. Is the NSA the appropriate authority to pay compensations, was that part of the purpose of its budgetary allocation.

iv. Same questions about compensation to the supposed newspapers proprietors

We all know it was a ''padi padi'' setting. All of them are ''arrangee masitas'' but coming out with laughable excuses exposing their bankrupt intelligence is so so sad.

http://dailypost.ng/2015/12/05/fg-telling-lies-dokpesi-got-money-for-media-project-not-arms-family/
Shame, Shame, Shame. I have known Dokpesi to be a wealthy man for ages. Given all his wealth and for him to have raised a son such as this, for him not to have known that this guy is a misfit as Chairman of Daar Communications, BIG Shame on him. For the entire Dokpesi family to have resigned and allowed Raymond Dokpesi junior to add pepper to their injury, shame on them all.

I am not surprised at the statement from Dokpesi junior, i have known him to be a spoilt brat who does not know his left from right at least as far as broadcasting, business enterprise and native intelligence were concerned.

At the heat of the last electioneering campign. The NBC indicted AIT for its ''hate'' documentary on one of the candidates and before you could say jack, this Dokpesi junior issued a statement supposedly in defense of AIT, where he exposed his lack of understanding of the basics of Freedom of Expression, Freedom of the Press and the power of NBC as a regulatory body. That statement is my first encounter with him and i really felt sorry for all media professionals practicing under the Daar Communications umbrella. Journalism is a noble profession and Nigerian journalists right from time immemorial ranked among the best from any where in the world. How could this intellectually bankrupt person lead such an organisation?

Now look at the defense he's putting up. Can someone tell me the meaning of ''Multi Media Strategic Development Support Project''

And then the objective of the project ''to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of his government whilst demystifying false information gleefully circulated by the propaganda machinery of the then opposition party'' A year 1 student of mass communication will know that the number 1 function of the media is to report events as it is and not to create or stage manage the event. The media should be non-partisan and must accord all parties fair reportage. What is the business of Daar Communication with the creation and production of media content to promote a political party? Was Daar Communications registered with the CAC as such and do they have qualified and certified personnel to do that?

Media Content production is a different kettle of fish from dissemination. There are specializations in this field and like broadcasting, it is well regulated and professionalized. The ''hate'' documentary obviously was not presented to the regulatory body for vetting and approval, but for the impunity of the past regime, every body involved in that broadcast would have been prosecuted because, obviously they were not certified to do so.

I can go on and on. This Dokpesi dude is a big shame to his father and then the family.

Lastly, lack of native intelligence. Let's assume his dad was being witch-hunted by the ''powers that be''. A man with native intelligence will thread carefully. He would know that being confrontational may backfire, he would know the danger in provoking and insulting ''the powers that be''. But what do we expect from a child brought up with the proceeds derived from cheating others?

You better run around to meet your dad's bail conditions instead of releasing silly press statements.

Also, you are making the job of rogue lawyer, Ozokoeme more difficult.
What do you expect of a ill-bred son? What was his qualification for his appointment as the Chairman of a corporation of such magnitude as Daar Communications beyond the fact that he is the son of Dokpesi. Its not as if he demonstrated some exemplary knack for corporate governance high and above those managers that have been in Daar Communications for ages. Its not as if he was such a renowned whizkid who attended Harvard.

That is one of the reasons why Nigerian businesses often die with the owners. THe mentality of Me and My Family First, the workers are our slaves.

Your level of ignorance is pathetic. Please tell, what role does any monarch in Nigeria has to play in securing lives and property in his domain beyond the role of any ordinary citizen? Nigerian monarchs are ceremonial without any constitutional role or power whatsoever. For their security, they depend wholly on government since they are not in control of any security apparatus.

So, in your own view, the Awujale should have taken up the functions of security agencies, act as ''Voltron'' to face the alleged ''cultist'' like the other monarchs in Nigeria did when the scourge of cultism came ravaging their domains?

Besides, ''you were personally present in the Awujale palace on occasions when he bought flight tickets to overseas, you even escorted him to the airport and was also on ground to welcome him back home'' Let's get our facts right before coming to public space to spew fallacies.
CultureRe: Queen Elizabeth And Buhari To Attend Ogunwusi's Coronation by nokingasgod: 8:40am On Dec 01, 2015
ORACLE1975:
Her Majesty the Queen of England, Elizabeth Alexandra; President Muhammadu Buhari; Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); and governors from at least 20 states, ministers and other dignitaries are expected to attend the coronation of the new Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

The Chairman, Media Committee of the coronation, Mr. Biyi Odunlade, said this at a press conference that started a series of activities lined up for the coronation scheduled to hold on December 7.

Odunlade, however, explained that the queen might be represented at the ceremony. He added that guests from many nations of the world had been invited for the ceremony.

The Ooni also said he was ready to fast-track the development of Ife with a series of policies, which he said, would make the Yoruba people proud anywhere they found themselves.

The monarch, who was represented at the press conference by his elder brother, Prince Adegboyega Ogunwusi, said he would do everything possible to address the problem of youth unemployment in the town.

Ogunwusi, who donated 50 transformers to some communities in Ife before he emerged as the new Ooni, said he would donate additional 50 transformers within the next 30 days to boost electricity supply in the ancient town.

He noted that this gesture would make small scale businesses in the town to thrive because power problem would have been reduced.

He said, “Let me acquaint you with what I have done in less than 70 days. I have given out over 20 electricity transformers worth about N250m.

“I donated 50 transformers when I was a prince. I will buy another 50 transformers within the next 30 days to further enhance electricity distribution. With this, small scale businesses of welders, tailors and others will naturally witness improvement.

“Providentially, I know the core investor and the Chairman, Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Mr. Tunde Ayeni, personally and very well. I have engaged him and his team to make this a reality and work has commenced in earnest. We will witness this transformation by the very special grace of God.”

“To revamp the stadium, I have already opened discussion with the Osun State Government on this. I will set up a football academy and we will have 16 clubs in Ife.”

The new monarch also promised to establish a football academy.

While the press conference was going on, the new Ooni and other guests were at an inter-religious service held at Enuwa Square.

One of the religious leaders, who spoke at the service, Apostle Joshua Fagbule, urged the people of Ife to rally round Ogunwusi in order for him to bring about meaningful development to the town.

Source www.punchng.com/Queen-elizabeth-buhari-20-gov-to-attend-oonis-coronation/
I only pray that the Ooni is not exhibiting the so called ''youthful exuberance'' tendencies so early. Really cannot fathom the relevance of the Queen of England in this affair. Sure, she may be invited to grace the occasion but after invitations have been extended to the other Obas in Yorubaland and other monarchs across Nigeria. These are more relevant and with tremendous effect than inviting the Queen of England who we are sure may not even appear.

Think the Ooni advisers should better start schooling him on the roles of traditional rulers in modern Nigeria one of which is completing the government in bridge-building across all ethnic nationalities.

I am not sure the Ooni will be invited at the coronation of the next British monarch after Queen Elizabeth.

lookandlaff:
I depends on the country, but in Nigeria (which is the focus of your question) A minister is a senior minister, a minister of state is a junior minister or deputy minister and a permanent secretary is the highest career civil servant in that ministry.
Thanks Bro, yours was about the sanest answer to a simple question asked by someone who perhaps was genuinely seeking to know. Rather than proffer simple answers to help the op, majority here are busy misinforming, de-informing, confusing and mis-educating, applying different colorations and prejudices to the answers. If this were to be an exam, many of them would have scored 0.

In addition to your post and for the benefit of the OP, a permanent secretary as the highest civil servant in a ministry is non-partisan. He is to serve any government in power and ensure seamless transition from one government to the other. He cannot be a card carrying member of any political party. To a larger extent, the permanent secretary has greater job security compared to the minister and minister of state. He may not be sacked arbitrarily by the government without any infraction

Whereas the minister and minister of state are politicians. THey are people trusted and appointed by the Head of a Government to help in actualizing his policies as related to the particular ministry and they can also be sacked at any point in time by the head of government.

This is the way it is all over the world and Nigeria is not an exemption. All countries have their pecularities which may shape or adjust the above framework but basically, that is the way it is.

The caveat should be that, of course this is Nigeria with our peculiar intrigues.

PoliticsStop Whining, Rebrand Or Go Down - Apc Tells Pdp by nokingasgod(op): 6:49pm On Oct 30, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the communique issued by the PDP National Caucus on the so-called political developments in the nation as a rehash of the opposition party's infantile whining which will not save it from going down unless it rebrands most urgently.
''It is time for the PDP to take a long, hard look at itself in the mirror and change everything that is ugly about the party, instead of wasting its energy and time on irrelevancies,'' the party said in a statement issued in Lagos on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. It said the PDP cannot continue to do things in its trademark old, crooked ways and expect a different result.

''The PDP just doesn't get it, despite being the architect of its own fall from power. The days of winning elections with the aid of slush funds, brigandage, deceit and rigging are gone forever, hence the PDP must return to the drawing board to fashion out decent and empirical ways of repackaging and selling itself to Nigerians, just like the opposition did when they decided to come together,'' APC said

The party said the PDP's ceaseless and ill-advised attack on the judiciary, now its favourite whipping boy, the endless put-down of government agencies and the demonization of everyone but itself will fetch the party nothing but political grief. ''Instead of a blanket and unsubstantiated accusation against the judiciary over the election petition tribunal rulings in Rivers and Akwa Ibom, the PDP would have shown itself to be a serious party if it had provided statistics on how many of the cases filed at the various election petition tribunals nationwide, after the 2015 elections, have so far been decided in favour of the PDP and the APC, so that Nigerians can see whether the PDP has not won any single petition or whether all the cases have been won by the APC. ''The PDP has forgotten that the same judiciary that it is willfully castigating today had decided many election petitions in favour of the party and against the APC, whether at the Governorship, National Assembly or State Assembly levels, and the ruling party has not opted to bring the whole house crashing down on everyone just because of that.

''Going down the memory lane, when the PDP took itself to court in 2007 over the Governorship election in Rivers, the same judiciary that
has now become an apparition to the PDP awarded the Governorship to a candidate who never even featured on the ballot because the party
crookedly substituted his name. Then, the PDP did not see the judiciary as being used by the then PDP Administration, neither did the opposition castigate the judiciary,'' it said.

APC admonished the PDP to stop yowling and engage in strategic thinking that could propel the party forward, rather than continue to be nostalgic about its past, which is neither dignifying nor enlivening. ''The 16 years of the PDP - which the party has continued to shamelessly celebrate - are nothing to celebrate, either for the impunity that characterized the party's governance, the massive looting of the national treasury that is still being assessed or the bastardization of all the values that the nation holds dear. Thankfully, President Muhammadu Buhari has brought sanity to governance even as the PDP has continued to try to distract him with their endless wailing.

''Our parting word for the PDP: Stop throwing juvenile tantrums against everyone, especially the judiciary. Stop wasting your energy on frivolous accusations. Learn how to communicate your thoughts to Nigerians in a more civilized way and put your shoulder to the wheel if you want to reincarnate as a force to be reckoned with in our country's political firmament,'' APC said.

The Governor was educating the youth members of the church of the need kick corruption in all its ramifications, including domestic and moral corruption. He boasted that with an APC Comrade as the the helmsman of the Country’s politics, a revolutionary change has swept over the whole country.

According to the Comrade, “I implore all of you to fight corruption today because the APC Government is one that will not condone corruption, not even domestic corruption.

I can boldly tell all of you that I was a very principled man during my first marriage, I didn’t succumb to the wordly pleasures of this lustful environment, even though I had lots of opportunities. And it was this principled sobriety that made me fish for a virgin wife.

I can boldly say to you all that I was the first man to know her and initiate her into the wordly ways. This is the kind of spirit I want Edo youths to inculcate instead of messing around and engaging in different shades of adultery and fornication.”

We were also able to gather that the Governor purchased a Private jet for the bride’s parents as a sign of appreciation for training and keeping her clean till marriage.
