Kukutente23:Most bakeries produce with a quota. Because most supermarkets will buy on SOR .. but this is guaranteed revenue. Which will make the bakery owner be at ease ( to pay staff, settle suppliers etc) |
I must commend LASG and Governor Sanwo olu for this initiative. Even if the economy was blasting on 16 cylinders, we will still have people amongst us that won't be able to buy basic foodstuffs. So kudos to them for recognising those real low income groups and offering them a way out. |
Kukutente23:Not a loss. economies of scale. When you mass produce, you achieve a lower cost per unit of production . |

That's what you think. It's all about getting a good deal. Like I said, Bakeries that got those supplies will gladly give discounts. Because it means for 2 days, production is guaranteed. |
omoredia:Not necessarily paying the difference. For instance a big loaf of bread hovers around 1000-1200. Some even sell 950 naira. So if LASG meets bakeries and says OK we need 10,000 loaves every Sunday and we need a discount. I'm sure a lot of bakeries would rather bake @ even 900 naira/loaf for 10,000 units than wait to bake 500 units @ 1 000/loaf It's a win for all the parties( LASG, bakeries and the residents of Lagos) |
It's a good initiative, if it is sustained, it can stabilise food prices across Lagos markets. Recently Noodles carton was sold @ 18000, then it dropped sharply to 14000. I know this is the handwork of wholesalers who hide under the guise of dollar fx to arbitrarily fix prices. If LASG sustains the tempo for @ least 2 months, I'm sure prices of basic foodstuff will stabilise. As a household under budget, why do you have to feed children with noodles when there are cheaper and better alternatives ( beans ,bread and rice) provided by LASG . |
Barbiturate:You are not getting it. I also receive debit alerts from Kuda twice in some instances, if the first transaction kind of stalled during the process and I initiated another one. But as long as it doesn't reflect on indrive. Kuda is going to effect a reversal within the hour. |

Don't rush. Yesterday and today ,all apps relying on Internet were badly affected. I will advise you take things slow. I'm pretty sure you are familiar with a lot of terrain in Lagos, corrolla 09 can't just saunter into any area in Lagos, unlike the 03-06 ,,that are a bit sturdy in design. Indrive is a slow burner...you will eventually get a hang of it. |
@ twilight. If you go back and read pages ,all the answers you seek are there. Make an attempt to read through . Even from January this year, Only the things you discover yourself will remain with you. @ a glance. I know if a trip is good on Indrive. No need to second guess. |
Twilight2:Check the right hand side of the order page , there's estimated km to pick up. Choose less than 1km. Moreover. ABORU is a low demand area. Your best bet of getting a good trip is from 6am in the morning. Put on your app around 6am tomorrow morning and observe the trips coming, you are likely to get Ikeja. Magodo ,Ojodu ,Maryland (HDAs). But this time you posted, orders might be generally low. |
pope191:I have not driven this week. I noticed the network was bad today. It was bad transferring money. Opay saved me today. When first bank messed up withdrawal at pos. |
Twilight2:I use Kuda. Download Kuda app. Open account. Should be ready in hours. Request for a virtual card. Put details of card on Indrive payment page. Number on card, (14 digits or so) , Security, expiry date. Fund your kuda account. Top up with 1k and learn the ropes. The 212 of not giving Indrive free money has been discussed extensively on the platform. Read 6 or 7 pages backward. I'm sure you will find it. |
pope191:You be Pope now. Na you qualify to be on InDrive's payroll. Or Chucsmoore, |
Twilight2:OK. Brotherly. This is just a teething phase, by weekend the app should be up and running. |
Twilight2:You are welcome. Comrade. |
@ Twilight2, you can ask your questions or what looks confusing. Is your indrive app working properly now.? |
Twilight2:You are welcome. Brotherly.. don't drop your digits. Any issue you have. Just table it, comrades will give you advice. I'm glad you live @ Aboru, so you know there are some roads you can't frequent cos of the nature of the car. 09 corrolla has a lower clearance than the regular 03'-06. |
@ twilight , go to your wallet, the 4th icon (bottom right ) of your screen. Indrive might need you to drop some coins before moving. I use Kuda (virtual card) to make payments and it has been seamless. |
Twilight2:Uber is still productive.. Start with Uber/Bolt. You have a good machine.. corrolla 09 is sleek. Where do you stay in Lagos? Indrive is good too, you get to keep most of your cash , no cards, pure cash all through ![]() I can give you tips to avoid bad areas cos of your car. |
CheerfulGiver:Maybe. I thought it was Enyo. |
AbujaCitiBlog:You are pained at his deference to the president. He is the chosen one, even Bago and all the other political gladiators know this. |
I think the problem of AC or no AC stems from the issue of fastest finger which Indrive has solved in the new update. You can't see who else is bidding, so if you are sure of your services, if the price is not good, you bid higher or skip the trip. The problem with some drivers is called "sellers remorse" a condition where you feel you sold for far less than the value of the goods/service. I blame them , you can't be desperate in this hustle, you sell yourself cheap. Yesterday,I was around college road, Ogba,a trip came going to Anifowose Ikeja , a street behind that AP filling station on Oba Akran. It came @ 2400. The offer was good, but I felt 3k would be a good fit for the trip. I clicked 3k and the rider picked it. When he entered the car, we had not even moved beyond that Nnpc station, when the rider was already telling me, I was going to bring him back ,he just wants to pick something . Obviously, he was already satisfied with ambience of the car and maybe my friendly mien ( some drivers will wear a hard face ), this subtle personal dynamics go a long way.If he was uncomfortable by the typical shortsighted driver who won't switch on the Ac because he wants more money . ( something you should have bidded for previously ),I'm sure he wouldn't have pitched the return trip. To cut the long story short, we got back and he sent me 10k from a short trip of 3k. |
Barbiturate:The recommended fare is 6100. ,you can't reduce beyond 10% of this. Fast pick price obviously is for those who are in a haste. So this does not apply. |
AbujaCitiBlog:You don't understand things. He is a king. Even as a state governor , you can't see the president as you wish. The president must be willing to entertain you before you can be granted admission. Bago right there, is a student of power. |
Authoreety:If he is denied sex. He can use that energy to revamp his life back. If he faithfully commits to it. 90 days of this practice coupled with a regular meditation routine. There will be a turnaround in his life especially from a financial standpoint. The question is. Is he prepared to walk this path and drop all ego ? Is he ready to pay the price? |
Omoapena:Uber learnt the hard way, they give bonuses like crazy now just to draw more drivers to their platform. Can you imagine? Uber pushing a new narrative "dear bla bla, we are pleased to inform you, drivers can now see destination on all trips . Look at what scarcity of drivers can do to reset Uber app, wonderful . |
Omoapena:I smile when some guys on watsap groups lament bitterly about Bolt out of range trips without a decline option. Some orders, over 20 mins and 6km .I chuckle, these guys are yet to see the light. |
Update .. ONE WAY ALERT on AKIOGUN ROAD Skipped my mind for a while now. Akiogun Road ( the road that lines the Maroko police station) is no longer a two way drive. Please,if you are coming from Bosun Adekoya to link Akiogun Road, you must take your right and go and make a U turn in front of Banex plaza to turn unto the other side of Akiogun Road to continue your journey. Also if you enter from lekki express, you can't reverse on the same road, But make a U turn @ that ( not sure of the name) filling station at the road end to switch to the other lane. Please be guided. |
pope191:I don’t bother myself with cheap riders anymore. I look at your ratings first before offering a bid. If I don't like what I see, I skip the trip straight. |
Omoapena:10%max of the recommended fare |
dapotemi:Most working class ladies have extra sources apart from the salary. You will be shocked at their account balances.. |
