If moove drivers are able to meet up with 9400 daily return, then, owner partners should start demanding for 50k weekly remittance and it shouldn't be a problem for drivers to meet up...
A driver was looking for a car.and an offer came up in the group.
I asked him , why didn't he pick the offer, he said that the owner was asking for 40k/ week. and he will be responsible for repairs below 10k.
That he can't do it since its not Hp.

I just marveled at the guy. You mean with 3 or 4 apps, you can't score and also save .
A sound and sharp car for 40k weekly rentals and he walked away. huh

Some drivers are not smart n forward looking.

Hello house, someone suggested "rental option" instead of mooove,

please any guide, what does it entail
It is still Moove. But the rental option, from your post up there, you mentioned 4 years..
That simply means DTO.. drive to own.

And I'm saying just opt for the rental. Don't go looking to own a car thru Moove. Its too tasking and stressful.

If the car is sound and sharp. Its achievable in a week. Even with Indrive, it can be achieved.
How much more with 2 main apps.

Please house, who understands the Move in partnership with Uber ... offering Suzuki manual transmission car for ehailing

i am about to stand as guarantor for a sibling, the remittance is 9400 daily for 4years

Dear house, how feasible and viable is it, anyone with experience.

sorry for tew much questions smiley
Why driving to own.?

Tell your sibling to go for the rental option. If you want a plan on how to go about it. Tell the house.

It's too long and tedious that way.

Hello Chiefs, please is it just me or Uber has removed their 7trip promotions from the app? They first reduced it from 4,200 to 3,800 for Monday to Thursday etc, but this week nothing at all and no notification for next week own too.
Do you people on Uber still have this promotion?
The promotions was to lure drivers now grin.. what were you thinking? If they have the required number of drivers on the platform, then they are good.

Bolt lost revenue in March, that's why they quickly rushed to unblock drivers. I'm sure the earnings for Easter was a shocker to them, they saw a dip in millions of naira.

Their revenues shocked them especially around Easter. The narrative, that they have more riders is false. The actual scenario is otherwise. Right now, they have few drivers.
They lost drivers so much ,that riders have to wait long periods to get rides.

Bolt is quick to adapt and retrace their steps..one good thing about them.

Ive already told you about making more money on Bolt than Indrive, but the ease-ness it’s not same. I am not talking in terms of hours and we don’t burn same fuel. Bolt put me on lot of tension when I was on it, the last time I did it in December, I didn’t even remember to start the trip. I just wasn’t use to the app again and riders seem always unease to me. Some we be looking at you with one kind eyes like you are doing some bad thing for reasons best known to you. Follow here annoys me on it own.

If I am truly committed and want to do 70k on Indrive in a day, I’ll do it. I cherry pick trip a lot and this consumes time. Even when I close yesterday ard 10pm, trips are still flowing. Anything outside ikeja, surulere, Yaba to Kusenla., you won’t see me. Yesterday someone offered me 10k from Awolowo rd to shah, I didn’t go. One of the reason I never argue about pricing, I just love driving at my pace and what my mental state can carry.
Pope, absolutely true.
Ease of cherrypicking trips is the greatest advantage indrive offers, because lately, there seems to be more broke riders on Indrive.
Also, that bossy rider directing you follow here, pass here puts me off on Bolt.

But you see, working at your pace is bliss.

I told you they changed their ways
Cheerful, you are right on the bolded.. I was surprised when I got a mail from Bella on Tuesday that my account has been unblocked. I'm like Bolt is feeling the heat.

Uber too has improved .. I'm always wondering, huh why Uber held unto destinations all these years.

To travel to Finland and start work as a cleaner in or give me 6m to sort myself out in Nigeria. Pls what do you guys think?
Take the 6m cash. Fix it n don't touch it. Don't think twice.

The agent is going to scam you. Nothing like visa to work as a cleaner. Ever heard of LMIA.

Thank you. A guy even argued that the camera fined him @ ikorodu bla bla. OK. I told to bring the pics they showed him.
He showed me a picture of a car standing on the road with other cars. I'm like this can never be a capture shot of a hanged camera from that perspective.

If the cameras were working at Allen n dishing fines electronically. I'm sure a lot of motorists will sit up. Just propaganda of the govt, my opinion.

All Uber prices are fixed. That's how I picked a rider on Uber at Ikeja and less than 10 minutes into the trip, Lastma bursted my two tyre with their spike.

I got to a place and stopped and the rider asked me to end the trip that they are in a hurry. I ended the trip and Uber asked the rider to pay 6800 for a trip that lasted 14 minutes, 3.8km. The trip was from Ikeja to VI and I ended it right there at Ikeja and Uber is asking the rider to pay the same amount they would have used to get to VI.

The rider just transferred 2k to me, booked another ride this time on Bolt and left. I made the rider to understand that the fixed price could work against the driver in a situation where there is serious traffic.

I reported to Uber and got my money back.
So if you had spent 2hours on the trip, it would have amounted to the same price !. Waoh.. so much for dynamic pricing.

Northbird don come nko this work pass me 😂

I think there will be a shift in everything soon and comrade’s just have to hold fort. There’s no such thing as give price on Indrive again. Feels like Ramadan is affecting business or it’s the economy using Ramadan as cover up. Anyways cost of running a car now can shift anyone of business, so waka jeje is very important. Battery along that barely last one year is going above 60k for 75ahm. So I wonder how drivers drag 1500 trips, left to me the trip go sleep there. The courier package is the worst. Some times I am tempted to pick it, just to blast the riders.

All in all, drivers should use their head, doubt if anyone can intentionally buy toks to run this business now.
Na you be big boss now com get anointing take join the package. cool.. e don Tey wey you sprinkle holy water for brethren.
Yeah, Ramadan has its effects too. I was at Wole Olateju yesterday evening. I parked and non of those guys using parking as side hustle came to disturb me. I mean the whole street was slightly deserted.

I bought battery 42k around August last year. Heard eversstart 75amps is around 62k atm.

well. I noticed their surge prices was now fixed, I complained on 3 different trips in one day after seeing how poor it was(even the riders were surprised when they saw how little they had to pay). After few minutes of complaining to uber they replied all my complaints with "you got the right amount for the trip". when I decided enough was enough was when I went to island after they closed the bridge and spent 2hours plus and was asked to collect 7100. As I said, I switched to indrive and so far so good...it might not be the same for everyone, but for me I'm enjoying it. Also, i don't frequent the mechanic workshop like before.
Uber has always billed low. I remembered mentioning here in 2019. I carried two riders on card trip from metal box to ikeja shoprite and the trip ended 300 and something naira, no discount o. Then they were still charging 25%.
So what gets to you is displayed. 300 naira pooped up.
I was shocked 😲 . because Keke was still running then . I said keke won't take you chartered for 300 bucks. A whole 2006 corrolla riding for 300 naira? I asked myself? Are you in the right place?

You made the right choice. You don't go to mech frequently because you are in charge of your itinerary. and you don't fall for the "do 20 trips get 20k again"
Because the longer you flog the car, the higher the tendency of visiting the mech workshop.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird:

If you ask them now
They'll say it was destination trip... destination trip or not, somethings are just wrong. Riders don't know it was a destination trip, they'll go ahead and tell their friends and families they carried for 6k yesterday and that's how low-balling continues
The thing is ,if you are using Indrive, one needs to be strategic.
There's no financial gain diving headlong into lagos traffic on a fixed fare (esp from an island to mainland perspective).

If I miss the window ( 2pm to 3pm) to quickly cross back to the mainland using 3MB.. I don't bid for mainland trips again unless I get someone who is willing to accept the highest bid offer.

Instead, I engage short trips mode. If I'm supposed to get like 10k to cross to the mainland. I start looking for that amount through 3- 4 trips starting from V.I. n I don't go beyond phase 1. V.i - phase1, - Oniru. 2.5k - 3k trips with ETA of less than 20 mins.
So instead of spending time in traffic on 3mb. I use that time to get same amount shuttling btw V..I and phase 1. By the time I'm through, I'm already resting and traffic on 3MB would have drastically abated.

I doubt if they will have upto 1000 drivers left on their platform in Lagos
You are right , a lot of drivers have left them. I see a lot of drivers on Indrive riders page recently and the rate at which the new drivers ( probably from Bolt) pick trips without bidding is amusing grin...

I'm like these ones are new drivers, they don't understand the game yet.

The militants that killed and dismembered the soldiers, are they not from that community? If so called militants truly cared about community women and children , then they wouldn't slaughter a fellow human being moreso a Nigerian soldier in such a gruesome way. It was a gory sight.

The Nigerian army should fish them out.

It's not sustainable
That's the point
And your logic that bakers reduced price because of mass request coming from govt is also false because govt can't pay for all the bread being consumed in Lagos daily. So this is actually reduced demand but increased demand.
Look at it from this angle, a lot of people earning 30-50k monthly salary even in the private sector , how do you want them to survive esp with food increase.? The bread is aimed at low income groups. A lot of people will buy the bread .. 300 -400 naira is a big margin. Esp for low income groups.

This initiative is targeted at low income groups.
Even people can still buy eggs n use for their small cateringbusiness. 2700/ crate is a good one. Those who do egg roll, eggbuns can still sell at 250 naira which will boost their sales.

This is why I like the project . Greedy marketers everywhere. A retail store around me sells egg @ 150 naira per unit. I can't blame her though, she bought from some dealers who unnecessarily inflated the price. A trickle down effect.

You mean bakeries have not been mass producing?
So what about bakeries who don't get this "contract"? They die off abi
There's no where in Lagos you will get a big loaf of bread at a retail price of 750 naira. Even eggs @ 2700 / crate is a steal.

Here in my area, a single egg is 150 naira. It's a very commendable initiative.
