we nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. I keep saying this that people trying to make 200%-500% profit on capital is definitely outrageous and very bad. You invested 140k and make 414,000 thousands in 4months..

Why not just sell the bags for 18,000 and make whooping 184,000 naira gain which is still far above 100% profit on capital..

This and the stagnant leaders we have in Nigeria is definitely what's is affecting every sectors in Nigeria. Everyone want to make 200-500% profit on capital within short period of time.

People are so greedy.

Anyways good job to the op for going into farming. But next time try to help with the price. You might be happy u made alot profit, but many people want be able to afford and would go hungry because you decided to make outrageous gain. The change can start from You
You have never farmed before.. that's why you are talking like this..
100kg bag of dried corn for 22k is very fair..

Bolt introduced economy category in ph over 3 months ago. The 10 percent commission is just a promo and the will revert back to their normal commission in a week time when the promo is over. That economy is meant to attract passengers, it's only for their interest.
I heard the economy category is optional.. Bolt is trying hard to survive.. they lost a lot of riders and drivers too..
It might look on the surface that Bolt 's revenue is not dipping.. The truth is, if this trend continues, in 6 months time, there will be a disproportionate ratio of riders to drivers..

The drivers on economy will ultimately bear the brunt, because there's no

-Economy fuel

-Economy spare parts

-Economy rental to partner

-Economy school fees

-Economy foodstuff .

Bolt is bringing a package to tackle Indrive.. The economy category.. they will charge 10% on that plan..
That means Indrive really impacted their revenues..

I also once got help from police around Villa Gate Abuja, I mistakenly hit the sideways ramp and my tyre got punctured, they saw how the tyre was giving me a hard time so two of them came over rolled up their sleeve and changed my tyre, after they are done I tried giving them tip but they declined. I thanked them and left.

We also have good cops in Nigeria.
Generally, cops in Abuja are good. They even pay fares when they board buses, it was a cultural shock for me when I was new in Abuja.

Don't dream.. you can't get 250k/month even in December..
The question you should ask is , if it was that smooth ,why do ehailing(Uber/Bolt) companies totally avoid buying cars? Since they know drivers make so much money....

If you go take this my advice, do your due diligence well too oh. Sell the car use the money buy two Honda civic 2007-2008 model (well maintained Nigerian used). You can put both for uber.
Or sell the car use the money buy one Honda civic same 2007-2008 model. Use the remaining money run business.
Or sell the car. Add more money and buy 3 Honda civic 2003-2004 model (Nigerian used well maintained). Put it all for Uber. (Na just my business idea pls don't take it personally)
Wrong advice.. Op is just the typical Nigerian who sees income banded across social media and wants to make a quick buck..
3 Honda civic cars? huh Do you know what it takes to manage drivers with the vehicles esp in Lagos? It's so easy on paper.

There is camera capturing I stand to be corrected and there is handy TMC used by lastman officer,is like POS machine when u wrongly park ur car or any traffic violation. the TMC is even video that will be sent to u.
grin.. don't let those lagos guys fool you. human beings are responsible for the capturing through hand held devices..
One dude was saying they showed him the picture at the office, grin omo...i just chuckled within me.. dont allow all these analog guys for alausa give you lamba .. grin

ideally, if there was machine capturing, the angle will show an aerial representation because the cameras are suspended from an elevation., so their footages will always be from an elevated point of view,
It will pick other cars and other items within the frame view..

They will never show you that kind of footage.. because truly, they don't have such..

I heard bolt gives them less commissionwhich is 10 or 5% instead of the normal 25%
That's false.. bolt is still 25%. For the branded guys, they get paid 18k plus weekly for the branding.
However, there's a proviso attached to the payment.
You must do 40 trips weekly to claim 18k .. it's not free money.
Is it worth it? I wonder too why people do it, huhhuman nature. .. different strokes for different folks.

There's nothing like camera capturing.. human beings are behind the random snapping and when the offender pays, they get 20% cut.

Nice thanks, will follow this up
Don't let it end here. Take a step.. Go to their HQ.

GT HQ. Akin adesola. Go to the back of the building , use your legs, the street is called adeyemo Alakija.

Zenith HQ. Ajose adeogun. Its a very tall structure. Go to the back. The people I told you to meet are usually there. Don't go through official channels, you will meet a blank wall.

35k is poor pay for a man with 3 people to feed.

I will edit the heading after I post this. And for the driving part. The answer is yes. I can drive a car Manual/auto
So why not apply for a driving job.. remuneration will be better than 35k/month..

If you are sure you can drive properly. Go to Zenith bank. or GT bank. Don't meet security, they have a standard response.

Approach the drivers at the driver's bay.. meet the drivers , approach the elderly ones ,state your case, they will give you OT as regards the outsourcing recruitment firm for drivers..
I hear drivers earn 120k monthly for such class of banks..

120k is way better than 35k.. You have to move brotherly, as a man, the bills won't stop coming..

Goodluck.

The era of having a degree to get jobs is gone.. industries( that could absorb the teeming labour force) are dying off ...

Multiple skills is how you survive in a place like Nigeria..

I will give you one skill ( Driving) you can learn in 3 months that will put you on a salary of @ least 50k/month.
and if you have a degree , you can package yourself and take the executive offers and earn roughly 110k/month.
It's tough, but you have been too long in the comfort zone .

I just feel I've invested more in myself to be a cleaner or more so going back to teaching. The Highest a teacher gets in my area is 30,000naira which is even lower compared to the cleaning job I'm doing
Op,Change the heading, you graduated 15 years not 23 years ago? Btw can you drive a car or mini bus/korope?

I didn't get any text message concerning the bill
I just checked their payvis website and was shocked there's an expired hackney bill there
So my fears are now confirmed.. This explains it.. Bolt shared all your details with the guys @ Yaba. The IT section of the lagos MVAA.
Probably, the scenario of drivers denying doing Uber, but the vio guys having a gut feeling the driver in question uses the app, but there's no proof to nab him grin..
So they gleaned off all the active drivers and billed them accordingly..

Besides it's not even up to a year I got this particular car so how the hackney take expire when plates never even reach one year
I did the registration myself so nothing like that
Did you buy the car as Nigerian registered?

If yes, are you using the same number plate the previous owner used.

Did you get a new number plate ?

If you can answer this, there might be an answer I hv been suspecting all this while.

There is a popular saying among the oluyole people of Ibadan. Whenever a thief is caught, instead of them to reprimand the thief, they will rather ask the OWNER why he decided to put his stuff where the thief was able to sight it. Unfortunately, it's no longer just the Ibadan people now, it has now spread even among us and it shows how unfortunate our situation has become... I'll rather stick to this popular bible quote, " For man does not know his time, just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them, or put in your word, when you suddenly LOOSE GUARD....
Those of you that thinks you have the wisdom to navigate evil, pls CONTINUE but remember that the swift do not always win the race and it's better to heed the calm and "cruise" word of the wise than the shouts of the one ruling among fools.... Ecclesiastes 9:17.
I disagree.. I have no statistics to back this up,most fatal cases involving drivers and their cars happened during the ungodly hours of the day.
That means, a precedent has been set. So if a driver then now choses to drive at night and to worsen it, pick strangers from a notorious bus stop.
Then, the chances of being mugged has been certainly increased by that said driver.

You are right. Just 3 days ago 3 young Bingham university undergraduates were paraded for slitting the throat of bolt driver in Area 11 Abuja. Just because of 2500. The guy that slits the throat is just 18 years.
He is not right. You have a part to play in your safety ..
The incident happened around 8.30pm coming from Guzape.. Guzape is a lonely area with some stretches of isolated spots.. who drives to Guzape at night carrying 3 young guys? embarassed embarassed and I'm sure it's the ghetto side of Guzape, panteka side ( where they sell metal scraps )

8.30pm in Abuja is almost like 10.30pm here in Lagos.
Bolt won't stop because a driver died.. so your safety and that of your car is your responsibility.

You're still blaming the driver, so are you saying those Taxi drops that picks stranded passengers at night should stop picking passengers coz its not safe?.

Whether you take safety measures or not, you're not perfect, God has been waiving this bad things away from us, he could have also helped pure stranded people as well but he was just unlucky last night, and at the same time, the evil doer time was up.

many have been doing it all their life and they never experienced that, it's not because they are perfect, God is just waiving the bad things away from them, I can't recount how many times I have witnessed a very near bad incident, anytime I experience it, I just give thanks to God for waiving it.

I get we should make use of our head but you can't always trust the head...
Don't go in that direction.. it's sad.. but it was a death that was avoidable.. please, how much will those passengers pay?. Max. 1,200 naira..
Why not blow empty from iyana oworo to Osborne. How many minutes will it take to get to Osborne from iyana oworo..

Life has no duplicate.. I have never picked passenger on the roadside before.. we take safety issues with levity.
