Omoapena: Bolt will soon block me, pilotz, pls, what's the new format? getting stressed over Bolt, that needs you more than you need them. Whatever you can think of earning daily, Indriver will deliver it. Last week, I pulled in what I have never earned before using Indriver only. I was shocked myself. Funny enough, I didn't go to any of those dead zones. Mehn, I saw how Bolt can be totally irrelevant last week. Seriously, without surge, Bolt is dead. |

The Lagos market is too massive for 3 apps. That means prior to the emergence of Indriver, Bolt and Uber were feeding fat... Even with the injection of LagRide, you can still see that the demand is quite up.
If you have one more app operating like Indriver, then Bolt might feel a pinch, the market is too massive, the riders are just too much. |

1. Request the ride with different fares less than d recommended fare and screen grab what drivers are offering.
2. Request the same ride with a fare higher than recommended fare and screen grab what drivers are offering.

My conclusion is that the last of the 3 amount at each time will be different. Because u have inputed different amounts each time u requested.

Pix one - order page. Ogba bustop to Osapa London.
Pix 2- Rejection of 2000 and ₦5,900 Sapa price and advisory from Indriver.
Pix 3- response of drivers to the offer of ₦6000.
Pix 4- you can see the other bands, ₦6600 and ₦7200. Don't argue about the ₦100, cos I further tested it to clear your doubt by raising the fair by ₦100,( you can see it automatically, reflecting on the other band options given that's why you saw ₦6600 instead of ₦6500.
The normal band response is ₦6500 ₦6800, ₦7100. (the reflection of the ideal fare)

Pix 1. ordering a ride to kusenla road, ikate from Ogba Bus Stop. Pix 2. Putting Pearl's 2k Pix 3. Indriver app responding to the sapa price. Pearl, you go still argue this one too.... So let me nail it down for you. The difference of the recommended price which is ₦1,100 will be spread across in 3 different bands
₦500, ₦300. , ₦300
So if you agree to raise price as a rider, you get 3 options like this displayed to the drivers...... ₦6500, ₦6800, ₦7100... ( the real price) in that succession. If you still want to argue it, I will bring more proof.

Pearl1910: Trip from Gbagada to VI Picture 1...notice recommended price is 3,100 but I inputed 2,600
Picture 2...that's a driver bidding for 3,400. Meaning that amount is an option on his own screen. Most likely the last option.
Picture 3...I increased fare to 3,600. Bear in mind recommended fare is still 3,100 But u can see a driver choosing 4,400, meaning that's an option for him on his screen.
So the point is d last amount isn't a good criteria or guideline to determining the correct fare for a trip. Those prices are a function of what the Rider inputs. If u dont know that Gbagada to VI should be about 3k then u will be there either picking rubbish fares by riders or grow old picking the last option while other drivers are either picking d rubbish fare or putting the ideal fare and getting picked. Sometimes the last amount tallies with the ideal fare but that's just coincidence based on the amount the rider inputed. All your arguments not valid, the main issue is, if you doctor a trip abinitio, it will reflect the real fare in the options given to you. Show us a screenshot of the recommended price given to you.. |

If you are about to be blocked or blocked on Bolt and you are new on Indriver, and you are kind of overwhelmed by the price and all.
My advice is.
1. Calm down, have your own modus operandi and stick to it. You must have areas where you are going to and areas you are not interested in. You don't need to bid for all rides.
Personally I don't go beyond V. I., worst case, phase 1 all that Chevron, vgc side Ajah and Co, is just laden with unnecessary traffic.
On the mainland, I can be shuttling within Maryland, Ogba, ikeja, Yaba and Unilag axis. and I still get to match up with someone who suffered to go to Ajah. On Saturday, I didn't go beyond Yaba, bounced and skipped Island trips like kilode, and what I made on Indriver was quite substantial,... I mean very substantial, Funny thing is when I was going home, I wasn't tired, because I made sure I avoided trips that will keep me in traffic.
2. Positioning, this is one of the trade secrets, there are areas where trips are a sure banker.
3. Mental maths. Km vs time. You need to be able to cross match these two variables. In just 3 trips of around 5km each, you can hit more than someone that runs a long trip to the island under the same time. |

So you tried to go down and the app refused ba? If you notice from the metrics of the 1st trip, it's roughly 6km, ₦300/km, that's like 1.5 surge on Bolt. and off course, you are landing in a good area. Magodo, to exit with another good trip |

Viking07: Yes, you can price down recklessly. Same 2500 trip, I’ve priced it to 500 naira.
Like I said, the only solution is for the driver to have a knowledge of the actual amount.
Did the app allow to launch a search for a driver? because from the page, it's asking you to raise the fare. Moreover, you didn't show us the recommended fare. Abuja price seems different from Lagos by far, you can't price rubbish in Lagos right now ... The app will reject it |
post=118030616] After reading all the arguments and counter arguments, the best solution remains to have a good knowledge of the actual fare to that destination.
And to be honest, pearl1910 is correct. The different fares displayed are just +/- from whatever the rider imputed. I got a trip yesterday and confirmed it. The actual price wasn’t even included among the options because the yeye rider priced it so low.
The error is inDrive allowing riders to put any amount they deem fit without any base price or even a warning.
The trip below on bolt or Rida is at least 2000-2500. But I can input 1000 on inDrive or even 500 naira if I want to. The inDrive pricing system will then give the drivers different options based on what I offered.
Are you sure of what you are saying? Did you actually try looking for a driver with your ₦500 or because you reduced fare on the app means you can actually price down recklessly. Reduce the fare and try and get a driver and let's know.. Look at the pix below, rider wants to go lower, but he/she can't, that's why the message " I want a lower fare" I mean don't you get it " Why will a rider plead for a reduction in fare when he/she can arbitrarily do that without any permission" It means there is a system in place to check out against abuse of that negotiation privilege "

You have a rider and driver account with indrive, what you should do is put different amounts in your rider account and see if the last amount in the driver app remains the same.
That will automatically put to rest this unending argument.
Please note that I'm not saying he's right or that you're right. I'm just a neutral observer trying to learn from the argument. You are still missing the point, the original issue is, how do you get to know a fare has not been tampered with abinitio? This is a clear case of price alteration. I'm done with this back and forth.

As for your style, U have a good guide, however there are some trips that will take less than 30mins but it's long distance...for u who is using a Muscle, u will waste fuel fulfilling such trip for less amount If u keep using the time alone. Also u might be loosing alot of trips cos rarely will u get a trip proposal of more than 2,500 for a 30mins trip. However it's good to use it as a benchmark. Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 11:16am On Oct 31, 2022 |
Pearl1910: Oga, there are always three options, in increasing order either with same proportion or in a series like manner.
Even if u put 10k for a 1k trip it will still give three options where the last one is about 12k.
If u put 2k for 5k trip, d last option will be less than 3,500.
So those options gat nothing to do with the real or ideal fare. It's a function of the fare quoted by the Rider. Stop arguing, it's something I hv observed severally, if you put a low fare, ( for a long distance trip), the last option will be disproportionately higher, that way, you know the trip has been doctored. Picture 2 shows riders doctored fare, picture 1 is Indriver estimation from my position,. The same destination. ideally it's around 3,400, if you factor in 2.2km and 12 mins costing from my position where I did a dummy order. Moreover, my point has been, to guide you in making a quick decision to pick or skip
