Yeah you're right... A friend of mine once ordered uber in Abj and a Gwagon pulled over, he asked the driver why during the trip and he said that he just lost his wife...... To kill boredom and loneliness, he decided to use his G63 for Uber
Maybe... most times, there's an underlying motive.

Some people use bigger cars. Come see as people dey use GLK for Abuja. You go see Gwagon sef
Not sure those folks are into it for profit, there might be another angle..

Thank you all for your contributions to my previous post, I really appreciate you all.
I made up my mind to go for tech skill and I was advised to go for data analytics, so I went to NIIT office located in Ibadan for enquiries about data analytics, there, I was told that the cost of training is 800k and 720k @discount.. I just want to ask any tech experts here if it worth that price or not, before I make payment, new students resume by the end of February and I would like to resume with them. Thanks you guys for your contributions once again.
Forget them, Go and mine YouTube..you will be amazed. Don't throw away your money o. Forget certificates in tech field, the main thing is can you live up to the skills you profess..
YouTube...and lots of practice.

I am doing ehailing
Then, read up on the thread. There's a particular page highlighting major pitfalls/one way roads .find it.

Don't dive into all areas in Lagos. You are to make money ,not tour guide the whole of Lagos. Always use Gmap as a guide. Trust your instincts more.

Bolt &Uber won't tell you this... As a rookie, you shouldn't go to some parts of lagos, leave that to the experienced ones.

I will tell you this for free. Balogun market by Uba,lagos island, there's no day I pass that route that I don't see Lastma & Cbd arresting at least 2 uber cars.. ..I look at those guys and I know they are rookies.. Most riders will tell you to quickly drop or pick them by Uba or by the roadside, once you do that, you already put yourself on the way to Sura.

I don tire
Are you doing ehailing or just a passive driver in Lagos?

Competing to get a trip on indriver is too high. And it takes luck and proximity for the rider to accept you.

Imagine the waiting time before you get another trip. Since I dropped my 2nd rider in vi at 8:15am. I competed for 3hrs 23mins before I got the 3rd rider.

Im heading home, only 3trips N14k5 gross since 5:30am, I don't have to strength to park and stay under sun.

I just missed bolt back2back If not i for don cross 20k
But Bolt denied you income for 3 straight days without getting to hear your side of the story, and they will still do it again without batting an eyelid.
Indrive is always like that for new users. Trust me, with time, you will appreciate Indrive. No app deserves your loyalty.

20k on Bolt is. 15k net
14.5 on Indrive 13k net

Note , Bolt first block was usually 7 days previously, Indrive humbled them.

Most times, it's a matter of self worth and esteem, afterall, some drivers still hassle for 800-900 naira trips,
Also, some drivers don't see themselves beyond this hustle. For them, it is Eldorado..

So how do these people expect us to cope

Imagine wanting to buy car parts from all those illiterates dealers n they say they don’t want old note m bank is still paying old note

The union of a thing won't fulfill the intended purpose..cos of greed and selfishness of its leaders..
Why can't they have unions like that of california where they dragged Uber to court and got some good judgment in their favour.
But watch....the next thing is ,sticker, Union dues ,and all that Olu omo vibes for ehailing..
why is Nigeria like this? embarassed

Bolt is really feeling the heat of Indrive, I saw a request of #800-900 coming in.. I'm like? When did Bolt start quoting prices on their orders... grin trying to run a similitude like their competitor..

Ile -Epo market . Big gully on the road.as at 16th January 2023

If you are coming from Abule egba, meiran, sango toll gate. inward Lagos don't use the overhead bridge, use ahmaddiyya to connect to oko oba road and connect back to the dopemu overhead bridge. Your car will thank you.

Reason: there's a big gully on that road,if you are not good ,your car could get stuck. Area boys are there to help you if you get stuck, you pay them, but if something untoward happens to your car,it means you bear the cost ,so avoid.

By the side of the road ,there's taskforce guiding the only BRT way that might help, don't be tempted to take it... Be guided.

Good morning good people

Please I need your advice because I want to start Bolt in Lagos and do it for like three months with my personal cars .. presently living in Ibadan

I have been hearing a lot of issues with car theft, robbery, car vandalism etc. and my Toyota Corrola 2010 is pretty like Tokunbo

I just need money to complete a project but all these car thefts is really making me scared.

Please can someone advise me..
Car theft /robbery - start in the morning and close when everybody is going home ..no night work.

Car vandalism- try and park in a gated compound, live in a good area, the cheaper the area, the higher the chances of vandalism.

BTW, driving in lagos is quite different, just a heads up,watch out for those trucks and danfos and the dispatch riders (your mirrors),don't drag with them.
Be wary of one way roads too.

Goodluck.

Good day chiefs

Please how do I permanently solve a reoccurring fuel pump issue?

I've changed my fuel pump 3 times over the past 2 weeks yet it disappointed me again today.

I've scanned it, no other issue except this particular one.
What car are using? You need to change whoever is buying toks pump for you. Min. Toks pump should last for @ least 6 months. Go to another rewire and request for another vendor.
I bought toks pump 6k march 2022. Still going strong.

Finally, i hope you are also not part of the crew that won't buy fuel until they see the warning light on the dashboard...

No stress on Indrive.... The work seems so easy on Indrive,
- more rest btw trips.
-Money for fuel can be raised within an hour of juggling 3 short trips. (within a specific geo-location). Esp for part time folks.
-- freeeeedooom...This is the icing on the cake.:" I'm in charge of my itinerary
sometimes trips hit me up in the sitting room while I'm just chilling in the morning grin

odaniel1: What I'm suggesting is that InDrive's incentive would soon be surpassed by one from a different company, rendering their now appealing offering useless. Business must always develop or it will fail.
Right now, there's no ehailing cpy that can beat Indrive.. ...Freeeedooom... that's the USP of Indrive, Uber and Bolt can't offer it..Those guys came prepared for the job. Their card payment is top-notch.you make payments and it reflects in seconds. Instant payment, no quoting of reference number grin

I once paid on Bolt and for days, the payment didn't reflect. I was sending mails to them before they could sort it out.

Indrive just needs to check riders that haggle indiscriminately, once they can fix that, they are good to go.
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 11:08am On Dec 27, 2022
Indrive will wax stronger. Bolt on the other hand will lose more drivers if they don't do something fast about their policy .

One thing Bolt forgets is, drivers are the engine running this racket. . Without drivers, no orders fulfilled.
The app with more drivers will definitely lead, it's just a matter of time (the case of Uber, riders couldn't get drivers on time, when Moove approached them,it was a breath of fresh air for Uber). Moove saved their ass . Right now, they are still looking for more drivers

Bolt is a funny and a sorry case.. who takes 25% and still threatens the cash cow? huh

Freedom on Indrive is priceless ...... Imagine 2 apps similar to Indrive operating next year in Lagos. ... They will shove Bolt into the freaking black hole... grin

But how does Lagride work? Is possible
LagRide is quite exclusive... They gave to some of the traditional taxi guys. They are not looking for ₦600-700 trips.. Some of them don't follow the app. As long as they keep their financial obligations, they are good.
