Bolt is not really aware of what's going on....

Whoever gave them that driver score shit did not help the app in the long run . Because it has led to the rapid growth of Indriver.
If you look at the marketing play by the indriver team, the target is focused on getting more riders to the app.

They are not looking for drivers at all. Bolt is helping them in that matter, furnishing them with ready made, market tested drivers on a steady.
Imagine a scenario, they block 300 drivers weekly, that's a steady conversion of 1,200 drivers in a month porting to Indriver thanks to Bolt. grin.. In a year, they have at least 10,000 drivers having the app installed on their phones. Soft work grin

I just hope they are not in slumber like the Uber guys.

I've downloaded the kuda, processing the registration.
Much respect, boss.
Go ahead. Even if you pay around 11pm at night. Payment and reflection is instant. I'm talking seconds, one needs to give credit to the indriver payment gateway.
Much respect boss..

That's d price ke...at what rate? 28km, 2hrs estimated time can never 6k, except Indriver also has surge. Rider must have increased d price.
Don't say what you don't know. Don't joke with indriver

I mean hope the Rider isn't going to that same street in ogba or something.
Cos e shock me within island 6k
That's d price. Indriver usually estimates traffic time. Na riders they tamper with the fare..

Ajah VGC traffic has been fixed...the bottleneck is now in Chevron and worst in Jakande because of fast Influx.
But 6k is still great even if it takes 3hrs to get to VI. My concern is, hope the rider knows where is imputed in d app cos that street name coulpled with the price sounds like somewhere on the mainland not VI grin
28km from sangotedo should fall around Ikoyi axis. It can't be mainland.

Which card are you using.Try Kuda virtual card..... Then you would further respect the indriver team compared to Bolt that has been in the game for over 7years,but can't clinch a functional payment gateway.

Indriver with such setting fit be the worst o. Traffic and Indriver no be friends.
When there's traffic, no point going on a long trip on indriver if you don't like traffic

Activate short trip mode. Cross between neighborhoods. Get more with less fuel expended. Minimum trip on indriver is around 1-1.2k. Trips that Bolt will tag at a measly fare of 600-700 naira embarassedfor air conditioned cars...
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird:
On. Sat, I did 24.7k on Indriver. and I didn't go beyond Yaba, with a lot of cherry picking. If I wanted to do anywhere belle face that day,40k was very possible.

More importantly, the peace of mind, and the feeling I could fling the Bolt app into the mud if I wanted to. grin, that was priceless..

Not to derail, in Nigeria, a lot of people still attend church largely due to failure of the government. There's no support structure for the ordinary citizenry... The church is the last beacon of hope.

But I'm amazed when people expect fantastic stuff /miracle without putting in the required work ..
For instance, material prosperity (what we all pray for) is hinged on giving back to humanity The most advanced nations of the world are the most philanthropic..
Transgenerational wealth is sustained by giving back to the needs of humanity.

Ammmy:
Hi all,

I have just 500,000 naira as my savings. I want to rent a shop and start a business. I want to include POS business in the business too. Please I need suggestions on what business to start. I already saw a shop in my area and the total package is 240k. What business can I start selling with the remaining 260k?
Why do you think you need a shop? Rent has taken more than 46% of your seed fund..
To make ₦7,500 as profit on POS,
You need to do a transaction of ₦580,000. That is for every 100k you process, you make only ₦1,300.So weigh your options properly. Sit down and work out your own path. Don't jump on the bandwagon.

Your shop(total package included) shouldn't be more than 10%, of your seed fund. You don't need a shop to do business.

Seems like there are some certain people that their messages get replies. I have posted quite a few inquiry messages here and for some reason people skip it and move over to more familiar users. I am not trying to be rude or anything, but it can be frustrating when you ask valid questions and it never gets replied. I thought that this is suppose to be an informative space/center. Thank you
This is the Lagos thread. There's a thread for PH and Abuja players. All answers to such enquiries have been answered severally on this forum, infact, if you bothered to read up, 2 pages from where you asked this question, a good list of cars suitable for the business was made available..

I am looking at buying a Toks Corolla 2004 for someone on HP. Send me how much you can pay weekly. And how much you your offer is to pay as a full HP for a car of N3.350m.

I prefer someone who can get vouch from some of the old chiefs/persons with integrity on this group. Certainly you wld still need to get a referee and you wld need to bring the car for monthly inspection.

And you wld stand a better chance to be choosen if you are dropping a chunk amount of money before u start paying the weekly installment

You wld be accountable to my lawyer and DSS brother.

Send me a WhatsApp mssg of you offer. Pls don't call on.zero eight zero six eight six one four one four three . Thanks
The odds are against you. You seem to be a business person, I expect you to know this.

Thanks a lot for your brotherly advice. My neighbor said i should go for Toyota camry 07 muscle or Honda civic 09. Please which would you advice me for. Both maintenance, fuel efficiency and otherwise?
Forget muscle, bro. You don't need a fancy car. Clean ride (neat exterior and interior) , good engine. Good Ac. Don't splurge much cash on frivolities. You are good to go. civic or matrix

Ernesttoby30:
Yes bro, I've done this business before. I bought a Nigerian used Honda civic last year from a Nlander, but unfortunately what i bought was a scrap sold as barely used (I was an auto novice). The car consumed me both financially and emotionally. I was totally drained and lin. I was now running into debts from different loan companies. If i use the car to work and make maybe 5k, the next day i will be in mechanic shop spending times two to times three of the profit i made. Later sold the car off after I've changed almost everything in the car.

It was a terrible experience. Ever since then, i vowed never in my life to buy a Nigerian used car. Especially when i don't know the history of the car.

So a family friend who saw what i went through decided to buy me any car of my choice to do the biz again

Meanwhile I'm into
CCTV installation
Fire alarm
Electric fence....but no contract for now
OK. That's good. It's better to have a practical feel of the business first. Toyota or Honda. (03-07 models)
The cleaner the ride, the easier it is for youto get quality offline riders (which will make your work more profitable) not run of the mill type of riders that have flooded most of the apps now.

If you start. Don't overwork yourself and the car. Since you have another line of biz. 4 days. 2 days income for repayment of the car. 2 days for you....
Figure out how to maximize those 4days.
Long hours does not translate to big earnings.

Guy see oo networking, data analytics, web design (front and back end) database I still reapeat it's only the ones who can get into a company that proceeds. After that many try their hand on freelancing few again succeed and pay is not regular most of the ones left try to become teachers themselves, low-key freelancers until they fizzle out. One thing I have come to see in It the higher u are in the economic ladder the much likely u would be successful. Most ppl for example don't have a PayPal account, can't be patient enough to strive to make it on foreign freelance sites because of money. Once u school abroad it's very easy to beat the system. I know a guy who earns well with unreal engine, Data analysis is even seriously learning machine learning is already interning for Nvidia because he left Nigeria well. Hitman lappy is close to $5k He is in San Francisco. Not d average kid who struggle leave Nigeria go school has to do multiple jobs to survive. So because Davido and Wizkid are successful does not mean there are over 10,000 studio rats trying to get a hit.
Your so called IT guys are not good... They just have certificates without requisite competence.
Nobody cares about your background( degree wise in) the world of IT. If you are extremely good, a position will be created for you.

That wouldnt have been possible without the foundation Tinubu laid.
Don't pretend not to know that Tinubu ran Lagos without [s]federal allocation for some years becaise Obj seized the allocation...[/s]it's this allocation that UMYA released to Fashola and the huge improvement in IGR that Tinubu handed over to him that he used to build on the foundations already laid by Tinubu.
Nobody can dispute this
The emboldened is false. Funds meant only for the local devpt councils were withdrawn and not for the state. Please, get your sources right.

No. Just routine inspection to be sure the car is in good shape. That was what he told me but he is a very busy man. He basically just hammered on his remittance. That he doesn't joke with it o. So the civic doesn't come with any other condition.

The corolla man is ready to reconsider his position on the weekend thing but he said he may need to use the car once in a whole for one or two days.
Forget the corrolla man. He's not ready.. He can't be using the car one or two days, the only time he gets to see the car is if he wants to physically check it to assess how well you have been taking good care of the car.

a sad update
Which state is your brother residing ? Why is he lamenting on marriage.. First of all, he should forget sending CVS about, that stuff is outdated for him. I hope he is not the choosy type.. He should forget the graduate of a thing... He needs a means of sustenance, and there's money in the streets.

The truth is there will be always be another partner for both parties... So he should man up. Church or no church, no lady will marry him without some form of gainful employment, so I don't get why he is surprised

I wish I could write strategies for him to launch, that will surely work.

What truth oga
You are estranged from reality with your prices... In the creative industry, it's your portfolio that sets your price. I'm seeing 45k website up there, for PH huh... Even in Lagos, you still get people offering 25k websites.... Lagos is still a bigger market than PH. Moreover, most web sites nowadays is WordPress...

You might argue, and say I'm a developer, this this and that.. But the truth is, it's your skills that will ultimately set your rates...
BTW, where is your website?

Good day to the bosses on this forum
I happen to come across this page at a time when things ain’t going smoothly in my life at the moment
Luckily my dad gave him his Mazda 626 to try and start a taxi business but I would prefer the Uber way
I’m a fresh out graduate, jobs are not forthcoming and I need to put food on my table
The car documents are intact and I have a valid driving license
Please what are the requirements?
Which one is better(Uber, bolt or indriver)
I’m not sure I got the last one correctly but I heard someone talk about it
Please advise me on what to do
My location is Ibadan
a. How long have you been in the job market, b. how fresh are you? This year, last year.
c Which sites do you use in applying? Which state do you target for job search, Ibadan is low on supply.

The cost of cars ideal for Uber is so high nowadays, the returns vis a vis the initial capital outlay from a long term perspective is not good.
You can still make something with your 626 in Ibadan (by thinking out of the box) without doing the conventional taxi.
