SLOVFO: You have got a valid point. Those guys at the Federal marriage registry said that I would need to do a fresh marriage. What were you expecting them at ikoyi to say? Typical Civil servant... A marriage held at any registry in any local government of Nigeria is as valid as that of ikoyi... |

No conditions. 3k bonus.upfront. .. 3k was already sitting in my driver's account to be used before I even took a ride..... |

Itsrm: If you think higher purchase is difficult, try rentals. It's worse. Driver's will try every trick in the book not to pay your money not to talk of some very heavy repairs that sometimes come up. E.g, I'm having to pay 55k to buy steering rack after repairing it twice with 12k(6k each) in two .
The only reason I'm still in the business is because I'm yet to get an alternative I understand and with a better ROI. [/b]The day I get one, I'm done with transport business. The winners in this game in the long run are the ehailing companies. . They will never buy cars. Bolt is willing to go down to 98,99 2000 model of cars. (a lot of people are not buying cars to put on the platform like before). Presently, it makes zero business sense to invest ₦3m+ to collect 30k weekly. Even at 30k weekly, you can't make profit in a year as an investor. |

@ easytig. Sorry about the ordeal. Lagos has always extorted its residents, Lastma saying all that target stuff is bullcrap... Lastma is full of uncultured and overentitled officers, of course, LASG is in the know of the extortion. How can you arrest offenders in the absence of Proper signage? Mega city indeed? |

TheModerator: Using Google Map, the ramp there was created for cars trying to enter the highway, that's those turning left and not right. In other words, it's not an exit. You can see the direction the traffic is moving to from the map?
I suppose it to be a case of wrong turn and not one way? The fine doesn't have to be that bad. The whole story was quite difficult for me to understand until I looked it up on the map. Sorry for the ordeal. I may be wrong though. Really don't know the city. Have to look for corner44 to drive me with his rickety smokey Honda whenever I visit You don't get it, there's no way Google map could have picked it up. You can't create 2ramps to exit into the highway less than 5m from each other. |

Dyomik: Hi Guys, please i need your opinion on an issue.
There is this Corolla 06 bought and registered in 2021. It is still clean and i wish to buy it for Uber Business and interstate travels but the seller couldn't find the customs paper. Please guys, what do you advise, can i go ahead to buy it,base on your experiences,do u think I will have issues on the road with Law Enforcement Agents for a 2006 car or is there anyway around it?
I need your advise please, thanks and i will be reading the comments. Seller can't find it or they don't have. Last year here. Take details from the "allocation of number plate" document. (without customs, they won't allocate number) Take the details from there. Go to Asycuda (the department for payment portal at customs). Go and verify the details, they will print out a summary 2 page of the transaction with stamp.. If it exists. Should cost you like 3-5k. Go yourself, don't delegate it. There's no custom officer on the road that argues with verification from Asycuda. |

This is HP agreement we have and not rentals and he's sounding so personal... Pls, what do I do... Try and be diplomatic. Responses like "not sure it's going to work" "this is HP and not rental" tend to make issues more complex. Except you have never defaulted for the past 33 weeks. He hinted it was in the agreement. Tell him, those 2 weeks are the BEST weeks in the business. |

By the time some drivers are still having breakfast before setting out, such early starters have clocked in some hours already. https://www.techcityng.com/uber-expands-availability-of-uber-go-in-lagos/
Uber Go will be more affordable than UberX with the minimum fare starting at N400 offering riders a 35% lower cost alternative. The product is being launched in Ikeja with plans to extend to other parts of Lagos and cities where Uber is present in the coming months. Ask riders, how fast can they get a driver on Uber? Uber is not even in the picture.₦400 for a cab , isn't that ridiculous? In Lagos, the contest is between Indrive and Bolt. For riders on Indriver, the process is simple and easy. If the price is right, you will get a driver in 5mins. No bullshit. |

Bolt takes 25% or more sometimes, and yet you want to control my itinerary in a chaotic city. like Lagos.. That will never work. I'm not an employee, I'm a partner. If Bolt can't respect that right, then it's better to align myself with a firm that respects fairness. |

One guy wearing a reflective vest once tried to stop me when I turned into Shiro, I ignored him and just kept going, luckily the road was free. zhirkovrado: Greetings to everyone, with regards to the popular sayings "no knowledge is wasted" and "we learn everyday", I wish to share this pressing issue to all of us and wish to find solutions. I am in my early 20s and fish farming is one of the things I have always looked up to doing. Due to the incessant and unending ASUU strike, I was able to raise about 500k which I wish to venture into the trade. But my question is; Will it be enough?? Your suggestions and ideas on how I go about with the expenses would be welcomed. Thanks! You will lose your money if you don't find a way to cut off middlemen. |

RuneKingThor: Generic bot response. They are not ready to improve. I will advice drivers to look at other apps and become familiar with them as December is coming. Don't be left stranded and be struggling to understand other apps when bolt finally finally blocks you. Bolt dey craze. You know Bolt too well. PR balderdash. I gave up on them since June. Bolt is a lost case. |

Barbiturate: If they can still accept you at your workplace, pls go back and save up for the repairs of your car. Don't put yourself in loan mess! You need to change the compressor (manual) completely and also the condenser. They will give off the gas completely and refill. It may cost you btw 100 to 140k, depending on your negotiation. Compressor alone is about 55k.
After fixing your car, still don't quit your job. You can do uber/bolt during weekends(sat/sun). Work on building a career. E-hailing is not a career. Gather experience from your workplace, do some prof courses relating to your career, then apply to other better companies where there's career growth. You are talking like this because you think Lagos is like Abuja. Which companies they for Abuja? |

desmondDessi: It's the classic model. Corolla sport. What other way do you advice please, not uber or bolt You won't be able to do it.. You strike me like a cool gentleman... 70k in Abuja is like 130-140k in Lagos... You even have a car, that's like 2k daily without stress, that's why I'm surprised you left. I will tell you this. Go and look for experienced cab guys, how do you know such, their cabs are always clean and neat? They do strictly "drops and not along" they will give you the necessary orientation you need to survive without Bolt or Uber. Sample opinion of 3 or 4 drivers. They will even recommend good tech guys and mech they use. Don't start without seeking the advice of those guys. Follow what they tell you. Goodluck. |

This is just a teething phase, you will get over it. When a door closes, another door has opened. AC will just give you better clients not that you won't still make money on the streets , I'm not talking of Uber and Bolt.... Anybody who wants to make money through transport in Abuja and depends solely on Uber and Bolt will never grow.... |

jaymejate: Don't beat yourself bro. Repair it. You will make your money. Thank goodness it's your car. That's a big flex. What if you are delivering to someone? I envy you small o. The Abuja market for ehailing is constricted. It's not as robust as that of Lagos. Infact, there's no place within the Abuja metropolis that can fetch you ₦10,000 on a single trip. Meanwhile in Lagos, Berger to Awoyaya, you are already closing to 10k. |

desmondDessi: I'm in Abuja Where in Abuja are you based? The deed is done already .. In the absence of AC, if your work starts 8am. You can still pull in 3k before 8am. if you start by 5am doing drops NOT Bolt or Uber. Then pull another 1.5-2k between 6-8.pm. You carry four people heading back your way in the evening. That way you can still make 100k apart from your salary. Then you rest on Sunday. |
