So I will be driving and monitoring riders for keeping drugs. God oohhh

Sorry about the ordeal. Same scenario happened to me last year, I shared it here. It was a young lady in this case. Broad day light sef, it was a rude awakening. Never knew girls too popped pills.

Why is the issue of one way rampant in Lagos and we don't have that in Fct?

Yes, some drivers can be very stubborn. But LASG has not been above board in proper Signage.

I mean the NO Rickshaw/Motorbike kind of Signage and not the self help approach (E. g barikisu iyede/Unilag road). Even the one way around bolade oshodi., @ igbehinadun street and the one Off kunle akinosi road are classical cases of Low Signage visibility and poor positioning.

Not to mention the one at dopemu Bridge. How on earth will a Signage that can't be visible within 50m distance be placed at the foot of the road itself, waoh, Lagos!

Situation is so sad that men of the force including traffic teams leave their assigned beats to start hiding behind these traps looking for unsuspecting road users.

There's a signpost that towing on Lekki epe expressway is free. I have never seen that in practice.....Just greedy lastma officers with their towing vans trying to exploit an already frustrated car user.

You see why I don't always believe the 100k shit.
Whoever is on rental should have more reason to push more. This will make them independent quickly.

A 50 week scenario of 100k weekly is 5million bucks.

Rental @30K weekly is 1.5 million.

No repairs cos, it's the principal that handles that.

Let's say 25k weekly as salary @ 50 weeks. 1.25 million. and that is very generous. A lot of white collar folks don't earn more than 100k

At the end of the year you still have clean 2 million to buy a tokunbo car.

But we all know, this is paper calculation .

If it was that easy, then most people won't do rent more than a year. They should have bought their personal car within a year of doing rentals.

Spent almost 40k on Alternator, plugs and exhaust net last 2 weeks. Worked last weekend, I say make i warm my car this morning. Check engine light show. My mind skip.
Scanned it and it showed error code p0138 high voltage bank 1 sensor 2 and P0606 ECM/PCM processor error. I know say that one na brainbox wahala. Went to my mechanic to check it for me. The RPM was really low. I got the model of brainbox from mech. The car kind of went back to normal after it was put back, managed to drive it home and park. The car can't start anymore right now though. I noticed that when I start the ignition I don't hear the fuel pump anymore. It's 2.4l 2005 Camry. Any ideas on brain box price my people? Brainbox SN 89661-06B30

It mite not be brain box. I'm not a mechanic and I'm not trying to dissuade you. Get other rewire and mechanic opinions on the issue.

I just changed shocks and it’s still peppering me for body. It just sucked 2weeks net earnings.
I know how much I have made in 2weeks but I can’t brag or be happy about it cos I know how much I spent in maintaining the car.
Experience is the best teacher make them resign come see how easy it is to net 60k every week

Baba, Repairs on cars can suck money.
I just withdrew 20k from pos in the morning, that I should just service car n try n flex with the remaining change.

When I got to the mechanic,

Mobil--7k
Filter- 1k
Camshaft sensor-4.5
Workmaship- 2k ( with abeg join )

Going home, just branched a place to buy something, start motor, car started making some noise.

Discovered its kick, something about bendits.
Bendits/ rewire- 3k
T.p- 5h.
Workmanship - 2.5k

That's how 20k vanished with the car in a day. Even yesterday, car was still giving issues,. 2 days now, zero income.

We shouldn't paint a picture of its all a smooth sail as per finances in this hustle.

Rewire came back n said bendits can't be repaired, that I have to buy a new tokunbo kick @ 12,500 ......

Conclusion: 30k vanished with the car in a single day.

But I thank Baba God, @ least no be 3MB or inside traffic the car go misbehave.

I agree with you on that discipline part, also getting to know mechanics that know their onions, n not d kazeems that r ready to rip you off.

Seriously,one should pray that the car keeps behaving and shouldn't develop issues beyond one's budget. It's not easy to maintain cars o.

Volvo has a superb performance sha. N the engine is quite cheap compared to other cars. Last year one of friend of a friend said he bought Volvo tokunbo engine for 140k. Im lyk Dat is unbelievable.

The only challenge is a lot of kazeem rewire n mechanics in Lagos r quacks, sadly they charge ridiculously. So when it comes to Volvo, you hardly find the right person to help one out.

Do a coil test(I reaply don't know what they call it) but remove eachnof them one after the other while the car is on, a good coil and spark plug will look as if the car wants to go off as you remove it, while a bad plug will not give you any sign when removed.

Check your fuel filter as well.

The last time I bought a coil for a Corolla it was 6k blackbishop bought for me don't know how much it is now.
