he picked her online once. She saved his number cos uber app shuts down 12am. She needed a trip past 12am and called for an offline trip and then the above happened according to her. Truth is, we have some fraudulent and dangerous persons posing as uber drivers same as some riders. It goes both ways.
So the trip in question was offline.

@ johnchrix

I was @ prime water gardens, off freedom way on the 1st sallah day in the evening , was trying to get a destination trip to ikeja.

A lady came out with her sister out
of one of the high-rise buildings

Lady: are you waiting for someone ?
Me: Not @all.
Lady: Take us to that supermarket on Ikate road.
Me:No p.
Lady : you will bring us back.

Trip ended, everyone alighted safely.

The point is, the lady never checked whether I was truly on Uber, she just assumed I should be genuine since that's how cars normally position.

Now if she were to fall into the wrong hands, when sharing her experience, she will say an Uber driver robbed me of my items, whereas, it wasn't the case. It was purely offline n not on the operator's watch.

A lot of ladies flag down corrolla n jump in wtout a care in the world. Those r d ones that get robbed.

But you order a ride n you were robbed on the operators platform where hundreds of millions is expended annually on marketing ( one of their strongest USP is safety, one judas driver won't be allowed to compromise that) .

I strongly doubt it can happen.

I don't know why some guys are like this, I have witnessed over three times Uber guys rubbing their clients alone Monnestry road sangotedo guys be careful, riders be alert. After robbing they throw u out.
That's a bloody lie. Probably referring to the corrollas and camry doing kabu kabu who put that yellow taxi sign on their car.
I don't believe you.

@seyicodes,
don't compare d rigors of uber n korope. Your ROI is way better than that of Uber.
There is no korope /danfo/Keke in Lagos that drives All route.
Once you establish the troubled spots on your beat, you are good to go.

On Uber, you are expected to drive ALL routes , i. E you are exposed to all the Lastma, vio, touts, in Lagos. You can be living on the island n get nabbed by the extortion agents on the mainland.

Yes I am new, and you didn’t need to comment. This is just a way of encouraging those who may be having a rough experience in this business that success is possible. It’s also a way of appreciating my mentor for all the assistance he gave me without asking for anything in return. The first person I reached out to here told me I will need to PAY for him to show me the WAY….
you mean someone asked you to pay him money on this forum.
A lot of folks come here to get info on d hustle FOC
You needn't pay anybody cos all you ever needed are well documented on the thread. You just had to put in the work by reading.

Seriously we must give it to bolt. Like joke I’ve seen them taken over from Uber with their recent innovations.
I just reported another yahoo guy now and they’ve blocked his account and compensated me.
My ratings moved from 4.62 to 4.97 in a week
They have more riders than Uber
Bolt is the market leader right now.

Guys, need your input on this matter.

Request came in to freedom way from Dr ladi, a #500 trip. Decided to take it to complete my bonus yesterday.

Got to PU rider insist I should drive in, immediately I had this weird feeling, I drove in to pick her though with the gate opened. Got to freedom way a request of 1.6x came in to VI and rider said I shouldn't pick cos am taking her back I told her sorry I already did, she said I should cancel though i ignored her.

Got to freedom way she brought out some money from nowhere and stared sharing 1k each to the plantain hawkers as we return back to her home. The money was remaining 500 and I knew she'd want to pay me with it.

Trip ended 900, asked for my details and transferred 700 claiming she had exceeded her limit then dropped the remaining 500 with her in my cup stand. I left the money there with touching it.

Later something told me to throw the money away but I decided to send her a message to come take her useless money before she regret it. She replied I was stupid since then to word from her again.

What do you advise I do?
Sara things... grin. You earned the money bro, it's your sweat, so nothing is gonna come out of it. Moreover, you are aware of what was happening.

If you r not convinced, buy fuel with the money.

@ sunnydays, you need to show proof that you transferred ₦5,000 to him, the right name of the driver, cos he still claims he doesn't know you.

So it's either you posted money to the wrong guy or he is being mischievous.

It's the right number. I reported through the Uber app and on their Twitter but they said I paid with an unsupported method (how were we riders to know that only cash or card are the officially allowed payment methods on Uber) and they can't retrieve my money.
Maybe he is the one.
Forget Twitter,if you want a refund.

Get their email add for customer support. Write them a mail and attach a screenshot of the transfer payment and the payment slip of the ride, highlighting the time frames for the transfer and payment with his names.

Do that, don't be emotional in your write up. State it exactly as it is. He will b contacted to refund you.

Personally, if a rider is transferring less than 1.5-2k, I'm not always pleased.

I'm mean some riders want to transfer 500 hundred naira. I'm lyk, what's really wrong with these riders, embarassed how can you be asking for my details to transfer freaking 5h.

Wasting precious time and getting my emails box stuffed with useless alerts.

Some months, I get service charge of over #450 from the bank cos of those useless ₦500 alerts, embarassed
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 5:45pm On May 16, 2021
@ sunnydays, sorry about your ordeal. Just send a msg about reporting him to the operator.

or You can drop his number here and members will talk to him n you will get your refund. Don't allow it to stress you. No need for all the bazooka and sledge hammer.

Ok, SOME Uber drivers are criminals...feel better? Yes, I can use 50k to make sure I retrieve my 4800 from the rogue...if he can cheat someone who tried to help him, God knows what he'll do to other riders
Send a msg to the erring driver that you will report him to the operator if you don't get your refund by "quote a stipulated time".

Be advised. Cash or card. Those are the approved means of payment. Cash is not transfer. Ignorance is no excuse. And don't give me that line.... "I have no cash on me", pls its very lame. :-
embarassed

Do you transfer if you buy fuel at filling stations, even at supermarkets,? it's either cash or card, can you do transfer for Lagos BRT, embarassed

What works wonderfully well in advanced climes, it becomes complicated here. Imagine, transferring ₦600! embarassed If you had paid cash, you wouldn't be under this avoidable pressure.

Hi guys, where can I repair my radiator and cooling system on the island.
The corolla has been consuming coolant lately and I noticed that the temperature gauge has now gone from a little below the middle mark to above the mark and finally it started overheating and drying out coolant. I had to pour water the other day after it completely dried out and the temperature kept going up and down depending on my speed.
Today after going to airport and back from Lekki, no issues and the water level level remained the same but I noticed a gurgling sound from the radiator.
How I can I fix this to prevent further occurrence and get the temperature back to below the middle mark.
I believe your radiator is not leaking.

I once had this experience, coolant drying up, bubbling water in radiator, radiator consuming over 4 litres of water in a day, the culprit: the engine of the fan.

Is your fan blowing Well? The fan could be rolling but not pushing out enough air to cool the radiatior. if it's a corrolla, there's a standard humming sound that comes from a fan working properly.

If your radiator fan is sharp, if you put a used pure water nylon in front of the radiator, it will stick to the radiator, due to the suction generated by the fan.

Indriver should enforce minimum fare.

A typical rider would abuse any privelege. Look at that one going from Chevron to Iju Ishaga for 3k after collecting tens of thousands of naira @ Chevron. grin. People get mind sha.

Their courier arrangement is also wack. You want to charge 60-65naira / km for speed delivery in a city like Lagos, too low now. It has to be on a special rate.

Even local logistics can only guarantee same day deliveryi.e at least 12-14 hrs., and they still disappoint sometimes.
Indriver wants to charge rock bottom fares for delivery within 2hrs grin and they still want to take commission.

I hope they get it right sha.

Very true, my focal point is actually on the pricing.

Throughout December last year, every evening on Bolt was permanent surge till like 9-10pm,
Still the same riders, so why r they now reluctant to boost prices.

any business must learn how to evolve. Don't be too rigid in policies n decisions.

If it takes you several months to upgrade your pricing, because of a false belief that you are onbarding drivers daily. So the dormant accounts can go n hang themselves.

majority of the recent onboarders r rookies, it will take @ least 4-5months before they get a hang of how the city breathes. All you will get from them is a cut of rookies.

I will rather have 1000 veterans than 3000 rookies.

Una dey try oh,paying bolt back.for me this is what I do,though it might not be applicable to everyone Firstly,u must have a rating if 4.8 and above.when u notice your debt to bolt is already at 6k plus, switch to cooperate which is exclusively card trip.two or three card trips drops the debt to about 1k or so,switch back from cooperate to bolt and everything is back to normal.i don't stress myself with all this their payback.
Remember,it's not for everyone and it's my own personal opinion.
You ain't seen nothing grin, if you land in areas with 90% cash/ transfer riders, that means you would wait forever before your phone buzzes.

It won't take hours, moreover it's still your money.

That guy no sabi mathematics, calculation hard for him. Pardon him

I’ve beginning to see bolt taking over from Uber, seems they have more riders and drivers this days.
Apart from bolt bonus, you will get ride request faster on bolt than Uber. When Uber finally gives you request it’s 15mins PU so you can burn more fuel.

As in eh grin, when I first started, na to do wait for trips now.

But on Bolt, if you wait 30 mins wtout a trip, it either you r in a wrong location or generally the market is dull.

@ farmer akinloye. Thank you for your reviews.

Please, I know it's not a maize thread.

1. Is it possible to plant maize on 3 acres in one day? Land has been cleared n sprayed with glyphosate.

2. From your experience, how many people/laborer will be needed to do the planting.on 3 acres.

3. Mode of payment, how much is a fair rate to pay per person. My contact person is saying we pay per acre, but I don't agree with him.
Please, how much is a fair price per labourer. for planting in a day.?

good morning guys, pls i have been trying to pay BOLT COMMISION via their GTBANK account since sunday without success, i have tried paying via 2 different bank accounts through online transfers without success, it didnt even work via my own gtbank account. Pls is there any other way i can send the payment without going to the bank?
Bolt doesn't use GT bank account, it's Citibank.

Pay through your GT bank app. Don't use code / USSD. Cos you need to insert your reference no. and code won't offer you that chance.
