deedee44:If you are faithful in small things, then you will be faithful in big things. Big things will surely come. |
If you are given a direct tokunbo or a very sound car. Then 30k rent is a fair rate. If you are hardworking, you should be able to get that. I agree with Pearl too, any driver on rent that drives the car with utmost care and not being reckless and irresponsible with the car( going anywhere, packing heavy things on the car) will soon be a car owner too. |
Avoid Mowe, ibafo, longbridge. |
Felicity0001:Oga feli, you r welcome. |
BAZ001:Not this particular junction. |
Oba akran./Adeniyi Jones traffic junction heading towards akilo. It's a cash point for MIB and lastma. On Monday, I saw four bikes on standby with 2 MIB each on the bike. I'm like truly, these men are securing Lagos.EIGHT grown men on one traffic junction alone. 1. Don't park on the ZEBRA crossing. In trying to avoid been flagged for running the light. You might stop abruptly, n find yourself on the ZEBRA. So pace your motion, so that you don't beat the light n you don't also get stopped on the ZEBRA. If you are on amber, it's advisable you stop, no one can penalise you for this, provided you are not on the ZEBRA. 2. The last right lane turns into Adeniyi Jones. DO NOT TURN on red. Wait for the green light. There are only two scenarios when you can TURN right. a. When you are on green facing Akilo and b. when the vehicles on Adeniyi Jones move into the road facing Ikeja underbridge. The same rule applies for those about to exit Adeniyi Jones. DONT allow any car bully you with honking. 3. DON'T make a U turn. The U turn is further down the road by that AIICO. (those heading to Akilo) and by Forte oil now Adova ( those heading to ikeja underbridge.). |
Watch out for ojuelegba underbridge. Maintain your respective lanes. Two scenarios. 1. If you are coming from jibowu, and you took the ramp ( by that Ecobank) to connect to Tejuosho market. Ensure you are on the left lane. If you are on the right, and you turn left towards Tejuosho, the lastma guys can hold you for that. 2. If you are coming from Itire, and you want to turn back to Bayo shodipo/ ikorodu road / Maryland bound carriageway. Keep to the left lane. Turning left from the right lane is putting yourself at risk with the Maroon guys. If you are coming from Itire and you are not sure you can keep the lanes, you can avoid ojuelegba underbridge and lastma wahala totally by doing this Take the next left on Itire road BEFORE you get to the Road divider. Landmark, there's a petrol station by that junction. Gmap can help you here. From there, locate Cole Street, basically from itire road. LEFT - RIGHT - LEFT this road takes you back to the ramp by Ecobank, then you make a U turn proper under Ojuelegba bridge to connect Bayo shodipo/Maryland bound carriageway. |
ifec92:Use your bank app to transfer to them. In d space for description/narration. Put your 9 digit unique number, so that your account can be updated quickly. Don't forget this. |
Uber11:Forget mowe, if you are not used to traffic. Target new oko oba, obawole, Fagba, haruna. Axis |
Guys, watch out for this pitfall by adewunmi adebimpe drive junction. Landmarks : Pinnacle fuel station, Polystar plaza. It's a hunting ground for lastma n some police officers 1. If you are facing lekki phase 1 and you want to turn back to the Ajah bound carriageway. Don't make a U turn there, there's a No U turn sign there. Drive straight as if you want to turn LEFT into the Pinnacle junction, then (make a 180) turn back unto the Ajah bound expressway. 2. If you are by Pinnacle, and you want to cross to the adewunmi adebimpe side of lekki expressway, when you are on green., the 1st turn by the right is your turn, the second turn belongs to those about to enter Pinnacle . |
peeps4u:Technically yes, but it's Elder JK Coker road. The road where Ifako ijaiye general hospital is sited. |
@ Uber 11. Try new oko oba.Puposola Street, Fagba n environs., it's easily accessible from computer village. Borehole water, light ( prepaid, non negotiable), security of the compound. Things to watch out for. |
Brethren, watch out for this two pitfalls, Mon - Fri. 8am - around when the lastma guys close 1. If you are coming from pen cinema, agege heading towards Fagba on iju road, you must use the roundabout by that Ifako international school i.e take a slight right and slight left back to Iju road. DO NOT drive straight, use the roundabout. Though the roundabout (it has a statue of a guy /town crier) is not centrally placed on the road. Lastma guys placed two of their red looking shapes on the road ( heading towards Fagba), an untrained eye will drive straight. Don't fall prey. 2. Watch out for the traffic light at ojuelegba underbridge, |
deen4real7902:Go and download the bolt app... You want big scores and you are doing 7 hours ONLY , your hours are off peak too. . Most big earners are on Bolt. Without surge, you are practically a slave using Uber. |
Baz, you just dey make the thread lively. Got home n I just bust out laughing with those meme of yours. Baba where you dey get all those memes? |
Farmerakinloye6:Thanks . Is the shop in akure,so that when the time comes to buy. 2. Is it yellow maize.? How is the maize market during harvest in Akure like? Do they buy in bags like cucumber or in pieces or is it buying a full urvan? |
@ Op. How long will it take you to save your living expenses for Six months. I mean feeding, toiletries, basic expenses etc. You mentioned Ondo, Ondo town or Akure? . You will be better off if you are in Akure. Learn a skill that revolves around the lives of people. ( daily and weekly) Search your beam lights into other S. Western cities. Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta to source for gigs. Step 2. Photography (not passport type. Learn more on Portrait photography, event photography, I don't mean those that rush around snapping guests that enter events. Have a niche n stay there. Step 1. Video editing. Though it's not my field, but you would get a better bang for your buck if you focused on this skill set. You have a laptop already. In 3 months of daily practice, you should be on a good pace. Not expert, but a level where you can get jobs. Goodluck! |
nickvanilla:In Lagos, the uniformed men especially those working with LASG are one entitled bunch. I have never seen the height of such entitlement. I'm like, you guys draw salary monthly from the state coffers and you all be acting like you didn't have lunch a day before. |
Slickleo:Very true. I don't go to unfamiliar places. Once I sense it's a troubled spot, I let the trip ring out. For instance, I don't do Lagos island( Eko, balogun, idumota, oke arin n Co). So many pitfalls there, the female riders that want to drop by UBA, or on marina road n still want to pay by transfer. |
@ farmer akinloye. What brand of maize seeds did you buy? |
@wilybaby. Welldone. A quick one. A. How did you broadcast the manure, manually or mechanical? B. Your planter. Can you share a clearer picture in action. How many acres can it plant in a day? C. What is the name of the seeds you bought? |
Idaytesj29:Look for a rugged car( Toyota, Honda civic, Kia ijapa) . Sincerely yours, if I had that spec of car, I won't even go near ehailng. |
Felicity001:That transfer shit neva worked with them o. Tried severally. Had to reluctantly use my debit card before I could pay them. |
eyinola:But at least you go no say no b only you Waka come . BTW. I don't go to mushin o. Except the surulere part of mushin.Gmap is not accurate in Lagos esp d Nigerian version, so full of bugs. I pref the British Susan narration, very easy , but it's better than flying blind |
@ davit, sorry about your ordeal. But that road besides shomolu police station is one way. You can enter from the express ( ikorodu service lane), but you can't exit through it. Always use your Gmap in shomolu and Yaba, Bariga. Don't assume. You are very lucky. |
BAZ001: . |
Farmerakinloye6:Did you stake lines or how did the planters get a straight row.? The guys that planted mine, they were just bragging about experience n all. When the maize emerged, there was so much space |
@ farmer akinloye, good work. |
Mjosh1000:Welcome bruv. It's been a while. |
smatt1711:Have you started or about to start.? Don't get carried away by figures o. Experience counts when it comes to pushing the limits of income on ehailng. They won't tell you that. Only dashboard. A rookie comparing incomes with someone who has been driving since 2017. |
CheerfulGiver:It's not my business what you do with your body. But stop saying that you don't work everyday? In May, you worked every single day of the week |
deedee44:I disagree. She wasn't ready for the trip. Some riders deliberately do that. You should be ready before ordering for a ride. Moreover, she won't batt an eyelid by canceling if driver does not arrive on time. Believe me, next time, she will b prompt with her timing. |
