Ameboperoo:Thanks boss. |
@ wilybaby, Please, 1.what's the name of the other herbicide you used with Rooter when you wanted to plant the cassava stems. Please, 2. What's the application procedure. How many tablespoon scoops to 15 litre of knapsack sprayer.? You mentioned the other day that the farm was almost 1 ha. 3. Did you eventually use more than 2 sachets of Rooter powder. |
Farmerakinloye6:Please, I have some questions. I can see tracks of a tractor. How much does this service cost in Akure.? Also, if you want to make heaps say 3 000heaps, how much will you say is a fair rate to pay Labour.? |
@ farmer akinloye. Good one. 1.Please do you know the current price of greengo now. 2. That device you used in measuring / tracking your land during land preparation in December. Pls what's the device called and how much is it in the market? Thanks. |
@, Dmechy. Good and informative posts. Welldone bro. |
jpworld:Push your arguments,. Dont tow the tribal line. . Don't forget you are on South West soil. The most prosperous and most advanced region in all facets is still the South west. |
Also, they need a good legal team that will give advise, not necessarily representation. |
deedee44:This is the best approach. Tell every driver to invite each other to the platform. Then they can start posting issues on the platform. |
davit:That part of the protest that wasn't planned for, you need an editorial team. They shd get members with links to the Hotspots of SM. Twitter n IG. Nairaland will only carry trending news.... The strike is not hot enough. For a protest to catch the much needed traction, it needs to be promoted on SM, this will require funds, which unfortunately is what most drivers lack. The average Joe on Uber is just getting by. |
It's good to make one's grievances known to the app companies. But this PEDPA, of a thing, if it eventually leads to levying of fees, buying stickers n all manner of stuff to extort money, then I'd say they are n also not different from the e-hailing corporate shylocks. Cos I'm seeing branded face cap, t-shirts n all, we should borrow a leaf from the Uber drivers union in California...... maybe I'm too optimistic, comparing us to the largest economy in the US. |
kanuisagoat:I don't follow the bonus, I'm not interested, cos I can't go on stupid trips all in the name of moving Lagos. On Saturday, I was just getting short short trips. I got pissed n switch to Indrive. The bonus is a ruse, it's just an avenue to make you drive more. It's not certain. The conditions r too stringent. That's not a bonus, , one worked for it. |
Tbh, Bolt bonus is a joke. Is that a bonus,? more of like you are staking a bet., No guaranty. 55 trips for ₦12,000. 85% completion, 87% acceptance, bla bla.... |
deedee44:Pls, tell Pearl who is surprised that app coys can influence surge in a particular location. . |
The level of compliance is quite high, my hood has been hovering between 1.7&1.9 since morning. |
Pearl1910:That's r&d for you. Alaba-ijaniki, akute are low dense points for them, they don't need to set surge in those areas cos it's pointless, much revenue ain't coming from there in the first place, they need to encourage more users/riders, so no surge there, just promo rides. Don't just accept what they tell you,. You believe the app justs freestyles on its own without controls from a human intelligence, Baba... Think about it. |
Pearl1910:Are you doubting the assertion? |
Anybody that feigns ignorance that he/she is not aware of the strike is not being honest. I ordered twice now, it was on surge 1.9* , in the morning, no party, no festivities, just to lure drivers out, sure I got two drivers who picked...Even for 1 single day, some drivers still can't forgo that income ..... It's only a unionized effort that can send signals to the app coys. Everybody needs money, but you have to sacrifice to get some things done. During Corona, Nobody made money on the app for 6 straight weeks, yes it was tough, but here we are, talking about it. It was the strike action of last year when govt brought those yeye papers that made bolt give a bonus of ₦1,400 weekly for like 10 weeks or so. Though, it wasn't much effective, but the app coys got the feelers. You can't tell me I'm self employed, yet you penalize me for refusing to complete trips to dangerous places. You don't profile your riders, any Tom dick n Harry can just pick up a phone n cause mischief to your drivers, No identification of riders. at least a verifiable govt ID. |
If you truly doubt the manipulation tricks of the app coys. Today is valid proof. They set the surge to lure drivers out. Abule egba is always dull in the mornings week in week out. |
godsonn97:Yes and no. brotherly. Sometimes the cpys could set it. |
Unbelievable, on a Monday morning, there's orange colour, ( 1.2,/1.4) in my area. |
I was told that right now, Bolt is really stringent on the inspection process, dey r turning down cars with comma. I chuckle, , cos it is what it is, the fares will reflect the conditions of the cars brought on the platform, they of all people should know that. To maintain a car in topmost form is not a small feat. I can relate to why the Moove management draw tight conditions for their drivers. Some Lagos roads too ( got to some roads in INNER Oworonshoki last year).I don't plan to go there ever again. |
Ehailng cpys will NOT reduce their commission. I don't know how they are going to do it, short trips shouldn't be too cheap. There should be a cap. Before I stopped using Uber app, I once picked a rider from Wemco road, going to ICM, Ikeja. Trip ended, I'm seeing ₦300.!!! for an air-conditioned taxi,! mehn that's way too cheap. ![]() Card trip. Tbh, Keke won't take you alone from Wemco to ICM for ₦300. In my area, just because trip is ₦400-500. , folks will now order for Bolt to go to Jankara market, very short distance. Trips that are ideally suited for Keke and motorbikes. Fabga to ogba is ₦150 per head. with Keke, they won't even drop you at Ogba Bus stop. You will still have to walk some distance. |
ThatNiccur: On paper, everything looks so smooth, but let's look at reality, 25k rental for 96 straight weeks, non stop!.No room/ factor for contingencies I carried a man who once had 5 corrolas put out for rent. He told me he had to sell everything, never made a profit. He told me that the last corrolla he bought ( that tipped him off the cliff of E-hailing) , just in a space of 2 months he gave the driver, the car was almost a wreck, in his words : " when I saw my car, I felt like shedding tears" As Baz 001 said, I`d rather be chupping my money 30k weekly with rest of mind than put 1.8 Milla on E-hailing, the fares r really shitty. I duff my hat for any fleet manager out there. |
AOB1:You mentioned this months back, that you wanted to get a cooperative from workplace to buy a corrolla n all. I thought you had already started sef. 1. Don't leave your job for now. 2. If you can afford it, buy a direct tokunbo. Don't allow people sweet talk you into buying naija used, if it's your first car, then buy direct tokunbo. At this early stage, don't get entangled with Lagos Kazeems 3. Don't chase target. If I were you, I would focus on driving safely ( not bashing anyone n not dragging with other road users) Forget the income peddled here, it's not yet for you.Pardon me..... you are still a rookie, there's a learning curve. Start when you close from work in the evening. Work mainly on weekends. 4. You must drop the typical Civil service mentality to succeed in this hustle... In E-hailing, every kobo will be earned, no leave bonus, no sick leave,no repair allowance. You do nothing, you get nothing. 5. Lastly, when you start making money, start a saving plan n follow it vigorously. The savings is for the exit plan. The hustle is a stop - gap. If one isn't careful, E-hailing has a way of sucking one in, you will make money; yes, but in terms of skills /personal development, one will be found wanting. |
ajoyeleke:He needs a figure. How much? |
@ wilybaby, Please, can you give a close shot photo of the frying bay... I must confess, it's quite different from the typical earthen stuff I usually see associated with frying garri. |
@ wilybaby, so you have decided to process your cassava harvest. Very good. Please, from your people, can you help ask, how many bags of garri can one get from One cabstar ( that's the language my folks here understand) |
willybaby:Way to go brotherly! Processing is maximizing the value of your produce. |
Chazleeray:Sorry about your ordeal. Probably the u- turn around the polystar Plaza. Near that pinnacle filling Station. Be on the alert ALWAYS. 6-5pm. Whenever you see lastma officers and MIB lurking around a spot. Be vigilant, they ain't there for nothing. |
@ Baz 001. You r right. Some drivers r reckless. Was at barracuda Beach one day, you know how that place could be flooded, You have to practically drive on the fringes of the contoured and badly undulated roads to avoid the muddy pool and to protect your hub. Of course, my ac was already off., I was fuming underneath, cos if I knew, I wouldn't embark on such a trip. Still thinking of how to manoveure this long stretch.. Boom, I mean for godsake, how can you plunge into this deep water with your ac running.? Haba mana ! |
Tbh, roads in Lagos r not that encouraging given the big brother status of the city. Even on the island. Check out Oniru road, as symbolic as the Oniru axis is, to the identity of the eko people, for many years it was an eyesore. Last year, it was Access bank through their CSR initiative that facilitated the construction of those concrete roads around 4points.... |
If you are on the mainland n at home presently. Just stay there till the race ends. For those on the island. Just ply lekki epe expressway for now. Avoid V. I and Ikoyi, else, you will get stuck. Bourdillon, Falomo, Akin adesola, Osborne, Alfred rewane is blocked. Don't get stuck.. |
