Felicity001: If you understand well you'd known, [s]You earn more driving with Uber than on Bolt and even with lesser Nos of trips.[/s]
Personal experience for over 1yr oooh so I'm not trying to raise any dust.
Ever since I've been driving in Bolt I don't think they've ever credited my account more than once but Uber has credited me severely and sometimes/most times I get 25k, 15k,9k and so on yet I still have money in cash and account. This is pure logic now, how can you earn more with a higher service charge? 20% vs 25%, ₦65 vs ₦60. @ the bolded, you did more card trips that's why, nothing special. If you spend more time doing offlines, then you shouldn't expect much from bolt. I'm not here to defend any app cpy cos they r all corporate slave drivers, but Bolt has more drivers, and the reason is largely cos of the earnings. |

eyinola: I hate uber because of long long pick upsout of 10 trips 7 of it will be like 18mins away Bolt has more drivers, even Moove cars cant bridge the gap. When I was still a rookie, I have driven over 15 mins to go pick a rider on Uber. Right now, can't try it. Anything more than 2.5km, ain't going nowhere. |

@ expert1. Maybe, 15 - 20k for starters, as you get more experience, your earnings will improve. But, you need to put in at least 10-11hrs to make something substantial. This is non negotiable.
Join watsap groups, read the thread from like June last year to gather the experience of others as regards, traffic police Lastma, VIO, one way, LCDA touts ( probably you operate in shomolu).
Read up, and learn from the experience of others before you start, one could lose money so fast on Lagos roads esp. Mainland. It ain't all rosy the way its painted, |

expert1: Good morning Senior men,
I have the plan of getting started e-hailing as a driver. I intend to start by getting a car on rental.
My question is can I make N25,000 weekly and comfortably after paying the rental fee of N25,000, buying of fuel and other relevant expenses.
As a driver on rental can I get N25,000 as my weekly salary to take care of my family?
Please elders on the platform, I need your sincere input.
God no go shame us! You never mentioned d city, Los, PH, Abj The right questions should be a. Can i put in @ least 11 hours on the average daily? b. Can I get a good car and a principal willing to take 25k weekly rental? c. Am I able to prioritize my principal's 25k weekly before satisfying my own immediate needs? If yes, then give it a try. I'm assuming you can drive properly. Also, you are not quitting @ least a 100k job to drive on rentals. |

Way to go Uber, maybe the Moove guys had a roundtalk with them, ₦65 is just too low, for any decent car out there... Definitely, Bolt will jack fares, , presently, Bolt controls the market and they wouldn't want to be the underdog... Indrive, well, they should work on a minimum price template ( not some douchebag trying to go from ojodu to lekki Phase 2 with 2, 000 bucks. if they want more drivers completing their orders. |

staggerman: If you live in Ph, then quit that job and get on bolt. You can make that money in a week. Have you made such before in PH? No conjectures, op needs facts backed by figures. As it stands, the most lucrative city for e-hailing is still Lagos. Even in Lagos 100k/week is still a tall order. 2blockus 1.stick with your job. 2.Drive on weekends, don't give your car out on rental or HP |

Is Uber still lucrative? How much can I make as an Uber driver, driving for someone? What are the pron and cons? How do I avoid government officials wahala?
Thanks Which city? Los, Abj, PH. Regardless, stick to your job if the plan is to drive for someone. |

For those who want to check whether there's surge on Uber or Bolt and you r still on a ride.
Very easy, just type your location n destination into the Google map prompt, scroll rightward to the icon( man hailing a cab). If there's surge, you would see the spike with d prices, you needn't check any rider app for that.
Gmap comes preloaded with the phone. So no Uber technology can detect that. |

Indriver probably wants pay as you go. Prepaid. Pay in advance.
And forget it, indriver has come to stay, heck, the market is too huge for 2 operators. With a commission of 9.5%, that's still single digit.
They should work on a minimum threshold for the fares, not someone who wants to go from festac to V. I with 1,500. That's ridiculous. There's no excuse saying that's what I can afford, there are other options, e. g. Danfo. |

Felicity001: But looking deep I really don't think it's a bad deal owning to the fact that you have a return fee of N3,888,000 if you re on the 36months payment plan and N6,144,000 on the 48months payment plan which is just 1yr different, meaning an extra N2,256,000 earning on both fuel and allowance.
Mind you any earning after the agreed number of trips belongs to the driver.
So the question now is, for those who have been on the same platform(moove) what is the number of trips you do average every week? This will help to inform your decision before signing either drive with moove or any of the DTO option. I don't think you fully understand, every week of your life for the next three years, you have to commit 60 trips to them. No time to critically think and plan the way forward for one's life.Personally, cars don't freak me, so I can't b a slave untop say I dey drive 2016 corrolla. |

OJURONGBE1: For those getting Uber Moove onboarding messages, think it through before you put pen to paper. Ghost1994, was right about the drive to own (DTO), that's the only option as at this morning . The 2016 Corolla is eye catching no doubt, but there's really no need for that luxury on this job, taking into consideration that you wont be able to drive on other platforms (Bolt & InDriver) and cannot drive the car outta Lagos, if you get an offline trip. Basic 2003 Toyota Corolla, Camry and Honda Civic & City would do the job just fine. I just left their office few minutes ago. The Moove guys r waking up to the reality of e-hailing in Lagos ( a state saddled with very poor state of roads). The only option to recoup their investments is d DTO. Rentals won't cut it for them. How can you maintain a 2016 Toyota corrolla on ₦65/km? . When a Suzuki korope bus charges over ₦100/km without driving to PU or using AC for the same distance ( ogba to Berger is less than 5km.) |
