novaman: people need to talk about our local clubs, because if anyone watched the match between Enyimba and Heartland, the only low point of the match was after 90mins, the FA should sanction the club with about N100Million, and encourage the club to register the members/fans. The match was world class quality, which is why efforts should be made to get all matches on TV even if it is delayed
You cant do that without folding the whole league! This should be a gradual process; as you know, most of our naija clubside are being financed by the state government and are mostly not making profits from players sell, gate fee nor sponsorship deals! We currently have clubs that are really growing very fast like Enyimba,Rangers,Kano pillars,Dolphin,Warri wolves,Heartland,Sunshine stars. We neec to look for more cappable sponsors and make sure the playing personnels are well renumerated. Our pitches must be up to international standard so that it will meet television standard. Security must be provided for the match officials and they must be well paid so that they will have confidence to officiate a game, proffesionally. These are some of the areas that needs improvements and constant supervisions.

Guys, the match according to reports was explosive and as usual the mighty Enyimba took won and took revenge after they were beaten by Heartland at the fa cup last year!

Edoma ala, since you are so sure Ngwa wasnt influenced by Nri I want you to join ChininyeN in answering my question!
Did I hear you say Aro has their own version of eke, oye, afor and nkwo ? Is it the Aro which is younger than Onicha or are you talking about some other Aro I dont know ?? I pray you do not provoke me !! ever wonder what we mean when we say "NRI ENWELANA" ?
CultureRe: A Summary Of Southern Nigeria From 900 Ce To 1900 Ce (in Maps) by NRIPRIEST(m): 6:59pm On Mar 13, 2012
ChinenyeN, did people from Ngwa bear names like okoli, okorie or names that has nkwo, oye(orie),afor and eke root or suffix on them ? And do you have markets that were named after eke, oye, afor and nkwo which were originally Nri deities and were used to set up markets in the precolonial Igboland ?? I want you to think very well before you answer those questions because I already got an elaborate feedback from an Ngwa man! I want to see how you can deny Ngwa wasnt influenced by Nri!

Why is it that nobody talks about the Nigerian premier league ??
For your information the league is heating up currently and the standards are really improving!

newmusic:
You cant expect nothing more from an igbo priest who stays in isale eko. Say no tribalism and racism. Leave your shrine and mix with real people not isale eko tout and ur companion in your shrine.
I dont wanna resort to insult because it will becloud my point! Truth is that most yorubas in Lagos Island are not comfortable with the surge of Igbos in the battle of the "who controls the economy" of Lagos Island! And I know they are fast losing out. Reason why most Igbos dont fight back them back whenever fight breaks out is that most Igbos dont live in isale eko. And because if you fight the yorubas in isale eko, well, after the fight you will go back to your mainland house while most of them live there and they will BURN UR BUSINESS TO THE GROUND just to get at you!! These is what they do !! Very jealous, hateful and spiteful group of people!! I know a lot of Igbos who have surfered this fate! Somebody who worked over 30yrs to build a multi million business only to come one morning and its BURN TO THE GROUND ! An Hausa man cant do such neither will Edo or Efik will do so! You said only touts do so? Not really because I have seen many london schooled yorubas educated who have exibited same character! Makes me wonder what manner of people are these people! They even hate the Igbo man nature of spending his money modestly!
So mr newmusic, get ur facts right! Believe me when I say I know these people like the back of my hand.

Isale Eko ko, isale eko enu ? Am very comfortable. . .By the way, most Isale Eko people are very jealous and hateful, especially, to the Igbos ? reason ? I dont know cause they also have some very wealthy people amongst them.

so if your daughter brings back a yoruba man that is rich, educated, honest, nice and also comes from a good family you wont agree huh
My fine sister, you have no idea about how I feel about most of these ppl!! A rich yoruba man who is angling to marry an Igbo is doing so because they know Igbos women qualities! Our women are fine, supportive of their husbands and well behaved,so, if a yoruba can see that I wonder why an Igbo cant. I will give my daughter to an Igbo mechanic suitor one million times before I will let a yoruba knock on my door! I mostly grew up in lagos, hence, you can be sure am not here to tribalize ! I DONT THINK PEOPLE REALLY UNDERSTAND THESE PEOPLE THE WAY I DO ! ! Mind you I lived in Isale Eko !!

Snake [something something] to give birth to something long.
My Guess: Snake cannot help but give birth to something that will also be long.
Red Hat wearing in Ngwa is post-colonial, and less than 1% of Ngwa men actually wear it.
Nri influence on Ngwa might be small but that isnt to say Ngwa wasnt influenced by Nri.
CultureRe: Marriage between Yoruba And Igbo people On The Rise by NRIPRIEST(m): 9:10pm On Mar 07, 2012
I am gravely against intertribal dating or marriage because it brings lots of confusion and sensitivity!! I can confidently tell you that most of the Igbos married to yorubas are mostly from Imo and Delta state chic. Only a handful of Anambra and Enugu chics entertain such advances from them! Having lived in lagos for the most part of my time in Naija,I find it extremely impossible to marry a chic from the GREAT TRIBE OF THE YORUBAS! If my daughter ever bring a yoruba man home I will lose my temper!

Keep looking at it you will gerrit soon, just as soon as you realize the modestly discussed influence of NRI! And by the way,do men from NGWA wear the traditional"red hat" which originated from the "NZE NA OZO" institution ?

I do not appreciate the attempt to over generalize or otherwise create a false standardized image of "Igbo" attire in the above quote.
If Igbos on nairaland didnt start discussing EKPEYE like they are an important entity AFRODIMUMU will not come here and start discussing talking about ppl he knows next to nothing about!

I love the Yorubas for their flashy parties.
I love the Hausas for their Honesty.
I love Benin and the Ekoi groups for their peaceful nature.
I love the Igbos for their creative minds.

patriot2:
My great grand father was Chief Agho Obaseki, his grand father was the Obi of Nsukwe.
And the obasekis are one of the greatest bini families today. Actually I think igbos are bini run away who did so because bini rules were very tough.
Look patriot2 or whatever they call you; Do not come here and start brewing confusion! Benin in all its population in not up to one million,no compare that to about thirty million Igbos! Benin didnt have the history nor institution to father Igbos ! I will advice you stoutly and politely to not continue with such assumption! Yes,some midwestern Igbos have Benin migrants but the original inhabitants of these towns were Igbos who crossed the niger for expansion, trade and farming but some later returned(Onicha) following a clash they had with the Oba of Benin!
And has anybody ever asked himself why Benin made the Big wall around the Benin during it hay days? Like i have always stated, people always exaggerate the influence of Benin! Good example is the propaganda that Benin kingdom extends to DAHOMEY!
I will have bad blood here with anybody who will open their mouth and say benin are the fathet of ALMIGHTY IGBOS!
CultureRe: Igbos In Bini by NRIPRIEST(m): 9:21pm On Mar 02, 2012
All of you who are here saying Ikwerre is more populated than Nri have to understand there is difference between Agukwu_Nri and Umu_Nri and its decendants!! I suppose when you do your comparisons you mean Agukwu-Nri and not Umu-Nri nine!! 80% of the whole of Anambra originated from IFIKUANIM !
