FreeGlobe: Shiiiit am still getting PM's from Nairalanders on things to add. Apparently, Lagosians really dont like Mr. babatunde.Shiiiit, people are sending PMs detailing the rubbish they are ashamed to spew themselves for your empty head! What then are you if people throw their crap into you to spread around like effluent? A dustbin, no? That receives waste and stands grinning foolishly? Better grow up, Mr garbage can |
BarryX: like seriously"disgruntled" ?? What have these Ibo people really done that is so unforgivable?? Pardon me , I only have questions on my mind. Am from the core south-south in case you're tempted to ponder about it. To me, The Ibos need some chance to right their wrongs! They've really "F" up BIGTYME, Disgruntled meaning dissatisfying somebody is what the other geo-political zones have really done to these UMMUNAThe honest hard-working Igbo man has done NOTHING to deserve all this vilification! Where he is doing his work and expanding his horizons through hard work and doggedness, another childish igbo "boy" is coming online and causing dis-affection towards him! Its this same online warrior that sells GEJ as Igbo thereby ensuring the Igbo is reviled in Nigeria! I pray the people I know who are hardworking and industrious don't end up victims because of such noise-makers |
His attempts towards the economy would have seemed more sensible IF they weren't being used to further impoverish the nation! And nobody made him lose control to the governors, boko haram and the "cabals" taking Nigeria to the cleaners - its sad that inordinate ambition made him sell the country to these people and thus now has lost control Any sector that seems lucrative is now instantly taken over by these and of course, the C-in-C can't but watch and make excuses! That's why people are silent |
If I was the Governor, I'd not have closed down the market! Rather, notices would have been put up all over intimating that dirty shops (oil or whatever), streets (drains etc) would be taxed 20,000 and 150,000 (or steeper amounts) if found thus by so and so date which would be within a week! Such would also have stated that any roadside businessmen would lose all their goods! But then, I am not him! The way this was done allows all this rabid talk of discrimination whist such an approach would have targeted only those truly NOT ready to comply with whatever standards the government desires |
Much more convincing would be a well planned debate where issues would be trashed out and concluded, rather than a cold impersonal summary, which the attack dogs would then be ordered to start a campaign about, scream & bite, cause confusion and effectively obfuscate truth as concerns it! I personally take this with less than a pinch of salt |
GARRI (x7):Thank you for helping respond to him! Its really sad that everything is brought back to "you are oppressing us" and tribalism in Nigeria! Nobody, has right to carry weapons except licensed! If truly weapons were found on them, they are wrong, simple! Wisdom dictates that this "may" not mean they are criminals yet how can that be proven except they go to law and show their weapon licenses? |
What I wish to ask is simple - 1. Did Fashola ask these security officials to single out Igbo traders? 2. Are these the only Igbos in that market? My reasoning is simple - if they are not the only Igbos in that market, there must have been a reason for them specifically else all Igbos would have been there. But the others obviously did something different and thus were not made to prostrate! And would a sitting governor tell NATIONAL security officials to seek out only people from one tribe publicly and humiliate them? It seems strange to me, is all! Nigeria prefers to see everything either as oppressor or oppressed |
Please upload pictures! Is it single or 3 phase? |
PointB: Writing long repetitive essay for the umpteenth time does not change the facts on the ground. Aged, bigoted Buhari is as clueless as they come in matter of modern governance and is perpetually unelectable. El Rufia admitted as much in his 'objective' days.It is true that the rotational presidency was an internal PDP issue! However, Nigeria's gonads laid (till date) in that beasts hands! Now that we want a people's government, PDP is still playing the ethnic game - our turn politics even with the current C-in-C leading the pack and turning Nigerians against ourselves! We want a Nationalist, a man who will fight for the man on the street, not the elite and so, such as you who are sectional, greedy and tribalistic should not be found here! |
utumunta: U ppl are really desperate! Latching on everything in sight, including an Oby Ezekwesili who is a political 'ant' weightEzekwesili your "ant-weight" is a tested administrator, a honest woman worth maybe a half million of you in gold! Forthrightness, sincerity and true patriotism is what Nigeria needs, not the gradualism we have been witnessing where a few sit and eat, locking out the majority but allowing a few parasites (you fall into that category) to, like houseflies, land on d scraps that fall from the table! I could have said "Fashola", or Ngige etc but in naming Oby, had recourse to the above reasoning + her marketability to sensible Igbos and Nigerian women! If chosen by APC as GMB's vice, she would also prove all you nuisances are lying about GMB being an Islamic fundamentalist! If the above is beyond your shallow mind, please take a one way ticket to the grave - you won't be missed! |
Buhari guarantees a huge northern following! Whist GEJ is playing the SS\SE card, a woman such as Oby E would not only split eastern votes, but would appeal to the honest, sincere plus bring in the feminine gender. And while many easterners believe other Nigerians hate them, Oby would prove there's NO iota of hatred - she as a serious anti-establishment VP would be the natural choice after to run as president! |
Its obvious he signed! Its also obvious the agreement is between him and them, not between him and Nigerians since neither represented Nigeria in the negotiations (which only proves governance is not about Nigerians but personal interest) Its again obvious he will renege on the agreement and totally destroy whatever claims of honor he had! Its certain they will all turn against him and deliver their electorates to the "enemy" if only to spite him! Personal ambition and greed will destroy PDP one way or the other |
Dede1: I want you to lecture those who thought and believed that January 15, 1966 coup plotters were Igbo soldiers instead of Nigerian soldiers. What about federal character or does it not applicable to 82nd Division of Nigerian army?Dude, go beat Gen Ihejerika to death for putting his money where his mouth is! His interview states he is de-tribalized and applies merit and in keeping with the image of a Nigerian soldier (not a biafran or tribalist), he deployed those he felt were best, based on the same merit you applaud when he appointed the right man (an Igbo) to be the first easterner to command NDA! Some of us are past the tribal insanity that reigns on NL and are like Ihejerija, Nigerians! The fact (yes its a fact) that some illiterate ignorant northerners saw the 1966 putsch as Igbo does not compel that I and other reasoning people become like people many derisively call Abokis, except of course you are stating that we too should be mental Abokis! If we truly are better than such, we will show it now! |
There WAS an improvement to cities then but I was wary to praise because the interiors lost power then and it seemed more like a shuffling than true progress! However it seems even that "improvement" is now again lost! I hope they find a way to make an improvement that will be sustained one day soon! The generators are back on! |
1. What guarantee would there be (if the President doesn't honor the supposed agreement) that after his second term, he wouldn't decide to become a life-president or decide to split the country? 2. Let's say he refuses to honor it, uses his 2 terms and then the north gets it back - what stops them from stating that they too have been cheated and thus insist on 6 four year terms? 3. Is one man's ambition truly worth all the lifes that ambition threatens to cut short? I tire! Its as if its my turn so I'll eat with all fingers and then when fate (as it placed GEJ on the seat) shifts allegiances, we start crying and gnashing teeth! Its all good to scream now but fate plays cruel tricks at times! What we should seek is the type of honor that ensures Obama is subservient to his party and that body to the interest of its country, not the other way round! |
~Bluetooth:Bros - I am as yoruba as any human alive today and I totally disagree with you about this issue - it MAY be happening in the other services but how can anyone argue against what is above? Out of 25 promoted to the realistic "top" rank, 3 came from one state! 6 divisions and each geo-zone represented! I was brought up in the military and loyalty is more important than seniority! And if Isah truly heard before people under his command were bombed, he ought be court-martialled, not just retired. And those screaming that the eastern brigades are commanded by northerners, na wa O - why do people see everything with tribal lens? You are pleased Ihejerika is COAS yet would also wish igbo commanders only for the east? Its the Nigerian Army, not Eastern Army! Kai, I wonder why we can't see past native language |
Yeah yea yea, Saul persecuted Jesus too, yet he later became the most "important" support for same Jesus! and life continued! Just like now |
Stop living in the past! Mature people won't judge an adult based on the number of times he peed in his bed as a child! If you have anything that is current, say it. You people keep saying anyway, that he can never be president. If so sure, why are you all hyperventilating? |
Mandelaguy: People who are not informed keep embarrassing us with their ignorance. My brother, thank you for reminding them that the is a committee on civil service and also that the president is not a king, they should go and get schooled on governance. Rabble rousers! Some of you wear a human look whist operating catfish mentality! So, governance as you put it, allows you spend 2.7 trillion when the law approved 300 billion! - thus governance allows corruption! It is only when the highest law making body indicts a criminal public servant for the loss of over a hundred billion that the law insists the criminal should be protected, not only by allowing him refuse to face the senate, but also insisting that the man who spent 2.7 trillion without asking approval, can NOW claim rule of law to avoid punishing such! Ever heard the term "waste of space"? That's what you are for stating such idiocy |
I just find this President to be an amazing human! Now he "believes" in due process? Yet when 2 Trillion was used when the federal (signed into law) budget for subsidy, was 300billion, there was no due process and rule of law? Why not simply sack Maina and allow the senate its day? It truly is as if once you steal billions under this government, you are above the law! |
![]() RIFF-RAFF? Kai, see yabbies! Na Oga patapata this people dey qualify like this? |
Gbawe: Don't blame me for your illiteracy and 'slow burner' brain. If it was literal, why did I suggest Agbakoba also? Can Nigeria have two AGF? Why did I mention Aondoakaa? Simple reasoning will tell even a 2 year old the names were examples of the concept of square pegs for square holes. Olodo. Don't go and mind your own business. It is tribalists and ethnic jingoists who fail to live in the real world, like you, who are the joke here.sorry to correct you but his brain is not a "slow burner" - its a NO burner - the flame has totally gone out! All he has achieved is convince more people that doing the opposite of what he wants is the better thing to do! Maybe he actually works for ACN as he has actually fought PDP with this thread! |
Mr. Globe:Are you saying Nigerian roads are fine as they are and thus the only problem is boko haram? Are you saying since people dies in good hospitals, its better we have bad hospitals? Are you saying since some people are naturally criminally minded, the govt should (as they have been doing) neglect the welfare of Nigerians? What is you people's fixation with someone who hasn't even declared he will run? And even more, why are you pleading with a tribe you seem to hate, call names, laugh at and whom you deride even in your plea? People (individuals) will look at who's on the ballot and choose just as you have obviously chosen yet are now trying to deny others same! Face your own front |
Sunny_bobo: ...... .... .... as if there was no South West.I don't want to rebute all of your "theories" but the above cannot be ignored! Any goat that ever entered UCH or Ife teaching hospital knows you are lying. Till today, 2013, many bedsheets still exists from Buhari's PFT in these 2 hospitals! Drugs, equipment carried his mark and name for so many years too! So how that is "ZERO" allocation beats the imagination! Since you have lied with that, why should anyone believe your other assertions? |
onatisi: the voice of man is the voice of God,whatever we decree is what God will do and our decision is final NO BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT.you can hang urself or stay on nl till 2019,you and ur candidate are born LOSERSWhat happens IF God decides Buhari repairing all, is the next step in this Nation's existence? |
true2god: For ur informations 98% of igbos in the southwest live in Lagos and not in ogbomoso, ife, modakeke, ilesha, ibadan, abeokuta, etc. Why is it so? Lagos was the former capital territory and pple frm differnece parts of the country converge in Lagos for berra opportunities. No igbo graduate will go to ogbomoso or ilesha to searcch for job. Hope u get me.Rude, daft, ill-mannered, not trained from home and empty headed mongrel! Why don't you show me the insult offered to you that brought this vacuous spite filled noise out of your uncultured genes? All the honest hard-working ibo traders selling clothes, parts and doing business in Nigeria are in Lagos? What manner of cheap blood is in all you cannabis smoking 419 half baked churlish brigands that makes so you empty headed? So because you live in a dirty cybercafe in isolo, you believe normal reasoning igbos do the same? Goat, go tell your dad you fell off your maws back and hit your head as a baby - maybe they should exchange you for a bag of pure water which at least can quench thrist and thus is more useful than your empty head! |
Slight digression here but I cannot contain myself - I notice majority of those demanding Nigeria break up, are Igbo and I wonder 1. How many of you live and work in eastern Nigeria? 2. To those who are not children - where are your investments? Where are your properties etc? 3. Will such a "break" not further traumatize you and your people? 4. What we read is that "no man builds a house without first counting the cost" - why are you so militant about breaking up yet spending all your lives and fortunes, building up peoples that you claim to hate? I think your Eze-ndigbo needs to sit down with most of you and consider the effect of brewing further hate against yourselves just so it can be said that uou are "brave"! Because these noises don't serve you except to make you sound tough, a meaningless thing when you are in a cafe or at home behind your laptop! If this break happens as you all pray, I pray for you to not find you had wished a problem on yourselves! |
occam: Very depressing. Really where and when did Nigeria take the wrong turn. A country penciled for greatness, but mediocrity is now the normNow you are talking! The photo, the thread and the responses are an indictment on what Nigeria has become! No decency, respect for self or others etc! Civilization is man's March toward privacy and amongst savages, what rules is the herd instinct! This is a perfect example! |
Deep Sight: Take his Job? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Well DS, whitecat doesn't know who you are, does he? And you'd be surprised how many people in this country see any job as a blessing! I think you "morally" did the right thing getting appalled at what you saw! However, the reality on ground is that most Nigerians have been dehumanized and frankly, eating in an office is the least of their concerns! In issues like this, it will do you good to remember not everyone has the opportunities you do for education, exposure or even common sense! People are assailed by news of thugs and mediocres who became politicians, stealing Billions and here's DeepSight harrassing a poor clerk over eating his 200 Naira meal! Its as simple as that! Whether its "right" or wrong is beside the point - in a savage society like ours, its absolutely a non-issue! |
I've always said some of the best minds in this country are Igbo! Sad that its mainly the chidish noise-makers and money worshiping ones ready to sell their fatherland for pottage that abound on NL! I wish many here would take a leaf from this great woman - sound, straight-forward, and not given to flamboyant posturing Put her forward for president etc, not the AGIPs and people will take you serious! |
This is all becoming so boring! People "judging" that others are not Christians because they don't agree with them and accept that El Rufai must never be President! Such balderdash! What if he becomes born-again tomorrow? Yet you who don't know if you'll see tomorrow has already condemned him? Who even gave you the right to judge others? And your fight is on who's behalf? A man that will kneel before Olumba today and Adeboye 2moro? That's the Christian, right? I sincerely don't see what the noise is about - A PERSON using Jesus as the STANDARD of perfection is NOT insulting Him! Ask yourself a question - If he believed someone else was greater in any way, why didn't he use that person? Far as I am concerned, the writer just said Jesus is the greatest! Shut up OR accept this is political manouvering, not a fight for Jesus - He doesn't need your help except if YOU are saying He's a God that cannot take care of Himself! In which case, who is actually honoring Him? |
Using Jesus as the standard of perfection is actually great praise! In effect, his standard of right and infallibility is Jesus so where's the perceived insult? Most people seem to read upside down! |
