About the smoke, it used to be thick black but now it is bluish.

Also, engine switches of when ac is on.

Considering your opinion, will rebuild work fine on diesel engine?

With my little experience of diesel engines, I think flood of the engine with fuel will lead to a no start situation (overflow) compared to petrol which would cause black smoke. My verdict is your engine seals are weak and engine oil is getting into the wrong place.

Bluish smoke is coolant getting into combustion chamber the only cause of that is faulty gasket and to confirm you check your engine oil dispstick it would be milky and watery, the radiator whatever is inside would be oily when you open the cap at worse you will notice milky oily gooey dancing freely at the top.

Also you can open the radiator cap with key out of the ignition move your drive belt and when you notice bubble forming in radiator the gasket is faulty (it's a 2 man/woman job)

Engine switching off when AC is on, means the current power of the engine cannot carry the extra load, this doesn't mean engine is bad, a clogged Airflow apparatus and dirty engine filter can cause this, if you are observant you should notice that with the tachometer dancing up and down or if no tachometer gauge the engine sound would tell you all is not well.

Any engine can be rebuild and am guessing on the long run that's what will pay you, it's rare seeing a kia diesel engine and converting to petrol would break an arm and a leg.

The woman in my life is my mum, beginning of 2018 was crazy I was depressed, broke, jobless, indepted and had a failed business investment.

She stood by me and encouraged me to try again and above all she was prayerful, I lost fate in God during those times, I took her advice and put my all in what I was doing currently, divested and today I am not a millionaire but I don't beg before I eat.

dropping oil or shorting oil, leakage if no external leakage seen, then you have internal leakage which is the cause of your smoke, engine is burning oil.

Doesn't accelerate any longer can be attributed to alot of things but my guess is the engine is on its last leg, you may be needing an engine rebuild soon or outright replacement.

Your location? Also try and visit a trailer park and seek out a good diesel technician to assist you

1. Yes it is within your budget range.

2. engine and body in general, those vehicles have gone through thick and thin and body would start giving way, ensure the specimen you are buying has body intact. Also due to engine location ensure the engine is not on its last leg.

3. I have not used the bus before and it is been phased out I can't give you a heads up on parts but maintenance shouldn't be an headache for owner and mechanic.

4. With 1.5m I would just go and buy tokunbo long chassis VW transporter or the VW LT35 this will ensure the engine and car is still in mint condition, less breakdown on first year of use, no much work for the driver, you will recover some funds after a year to buy another.

Auto or manual would serve you well. if your movement is traffic to and fro please better stick to automatic especially when you are 40+ to avoid pajapaja

If I see a 2009 kia Rio manual 500k and Auto 700k I would pick the manual jejely, but that is me not you.

A manual has some advantage over auto in aspect of maintenance and incase you are not paying for a professional inspection then a manual transmission is the best bet.

But cramps is real, I have had cramps driving auto in lagos traffic and I had to make due with my left leg imagine having cramps with manual, then you have to park by fire by force.

Choosing a manual over Auto is a decision one has to make due to some circumstances

The only tokunbo bus in that price range is VW vanagon/transporter if you are lucky and get the long chassis variant it can be fitted with 4 seats that can seat 4 people each, but the short chassis can accommodate only 3 seats of 4 people.

solid car but parts are extremely expensive and watch out for rust. My neighbour uses one bought brandnew has a very bad maintenance culture and car still moving fine. His own is a 4 cylinder engine.

My verdict is you should buy it if it's within your budget range and use it judiciously not like a road rage vehicle

Good evening house.
So my c230k 05 is having AC issues.
Bought a new condenser,compressor(automatic),flushed the system and filled gas.
The thing cooled like factory spec for like an hour then it started reducing till it went kaput.
Turned out there was a leakage.we traced it to one point in the hose and we welded it.
Refilled the system with gas again,it cooled for like 20 mins and stopped. this time no leakage.gas is still in the system.
Today went back to the guy,he said it's the valve.he cleaned it,flushed the system again,refilled gas,it started cooling again.
I was happy,paid him.as i entered the highway and sped up,baam,stopped cooling again.
Blowing hot air.touched the metal pipe in the engine,it's warm.
The ac guy keep saying i should convert it to manual compressor bla bla bla(kazeem talk).but i don't want to do that.
Besides i don't think the compressor is bad mechanically.
Please guys,help me out here and co

for the hot pipe the guy must have weld that side smaller than stock diameter you may need to look into that 1st.

your diagnosis don pass online assistance you need the right techy with the right tools at the right place for the right price to get the right fix for the right temperature

Yeah, I'm not sure which other cars apart from the G, M, and EX use those engines. The VQ37, in particular, is a problem. The 35HR is under 250k, I think. But I have no idea about the VQ37, even on ebay the cheapest I found was about $1k.

if you asking because you intend to buy a vehicle that uses it, then go on and buy, I don't expect those engines to be problematic, Nissan engines are solidly built.

if you want to buy to replace you need to study the engines first like the VQ35DE was fitted in pathfinder 01-04 they skipped it in the 05-12 now fitted it into 13-recent and that makes me wonder if it's same engine and only ECU mapping is different.

The VQ37 is also fitted to FX, EX, Q50-70, QX and 370z, ok the fx and QX are same vehicle nah year them use dabaru the nomenclature

if you don't have a gated compound and buying steering/pedal lock and also drive in a low security area don't buy the camry, it can be stolen whole I mean you just park come out and it's gone, vanish, poof into thin air.

You don't need the sienna either it's over killing it, your family is still small but it's reliable though and good enough.
