Nairalanders, I have spent money on repairs and scanning on my EOD but yet to see any improvement, few months my car started blinking drive light , I took it to the mechanic he scanned and changed the switch after some times the car started blinking drive light and stopped picking gears. Please advise what to do at this point

How long have you been using the car? have you changed the gear oil before if yes what brand/type did you use?

There is a difference between central locking and keyless entry, your description sounds like keyless entry.

All regular cars have a slot to insert key incase something like this happens, check the driver and front passenger door handle well, one of them should have a removable plastic cover to reveal a key slot to open the car. What is the car make and model year

The camry is almost 5years senior of the ES330 but not even close in terms of luxury, status and feel.

To me the ES has everything out of the box the camry can be fitted to almost be on par but believe me factory leather, wood grain, DVD reverse screen etc in that ES is top class.

I hate that particular ES because I hate the shape of the big daddy and both are identical I can't picture myself driving that ES300/330.

year difference is minimal I did say go for the ES if you are attracted to the shape and leave the camry.

The camry is a notorious robber magnet and police disturbing list the ES is not

Hi..I’m thinking of getting my first car in February but yet to make up my mind on which one to go for and money is actually a determining factor t!
I have a few specs I’m looking out like a v6 Engine which I heard is faster and more balanced than the 4 cylinder engine! I priced a 2010 Toyota Camry SE for 3.2M with v6 Engine and it’s full options! Then a 2006 Lexus ES330 with a v6 Engine too, and it’s full option and cost 2.5M But there’s also a 2003 Lexus ES300 with V6 Engine also and Reverse Camera like the other two cars and all and it goes for 2.3M I’d definitely love to save money on each of these cars! I really can’t tell the difference between the ES300 and ES330 expect for the rear lamp! Experts please should help out!

both vehicles have identical hp but pick the 3mzfe better fuel economy than the 1mzfe

2009 preface lift 2.4L i4 5 speed auto 157hp

10-11 facelift 2.5L i4 6 speed auto 169hp

V6 is still the 3.5L same from 07 to 11.

depending on month of manufacture you can see some 09 with the 2.5L 6 speed configuration

the 2011 the last year of production should be considered above all.

Engine configuration is your choice to me I always prefer 4cylinder due to traffic and a 4cylinder will still do interstate comfortably.

Note this car is a robber magnet install tracker or insurance though stealing whole is very rare but gun point occurs more often

it's a universal generic code but you still have to drop car make and model to enable engineers give a logical diagnosis.

check your Airflow meter, oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1, leak in vacuum lines and exhaust leak.
Though if you notice rpm flinctuations and several vibration/stalling when brake is applied try cleaning the Airflow meter first.

Worst speed ever should be 120-130 and not just a regular sedan, I know what happened when a woman took sagamu interchange at 100km/h in a range rover discovery thank God I am alive to tell the story

How is it possible to upgrade core i3 to i5? if you say processor is 1.8ghz and upgradeable to 2.6ghz fine but s core i3 board cannot be upgraded except you remove the board and replace with core i5 board which is economically silly

from your write up it seems you are so sure it's the battery. But really you have to be elaborate about why you think it's battery.

To me a bad alternator will not charge your battery, a new battery with out receiving charge shouldn't last up to a day sef reason I struck out alternator

Next is the battery a new battery with right amps for your car should last 2 years for China/Korea and 5years plus for original US/European quality. I don't know how much you bought yours but starting price of car battery should be around 16k for 60AH, I don't know what amp you bought and what price whether is tokunbo or new.

Next is the battery charger guy, does his battery start your car once when you ask for his service or you wait for him to charge yours? if his battery is what you use to start your car after each episode then a fix your battery if car works for 10mins it would charge the battery enough for you to know what is faulty.

If your car is manual have you tried "push start" a little momentum and car starts point to battery, but when they have to push for like 3 times and car starts a slow crank to life then it's not battery but something else.

Hello. Car experts. Kindly enlighten me on what could be running down my car battery always. I have a Nissan Vanette in which I use for commercial purpose but the battery always runs down after a month or two. I have bought new battery like 4 times this year. This December, this is the second battery am buying. Just took it to the battery charger to charge it for me now cos it has run down again. Am just so pissed off.

I don't think it's the alternator due to the interval of total drainage Though you can still check it

I think you have a 3rd party unit installed which drains your battery or the issue is not ba3 but something else kick starter, fuel pump etc
