Onigastephen:Your question is not complete though A 2018 lexus LX570 has a starting price of $85000 couple with 35% custom duty of the face value $29750 $114750×360 = 41,310,000 when you add profit and other cost let's say a starting price in naija for a Base is 50m Tokunbo will be closer depending on vehicle title and mileage. |

HeavenlyBang:That's why I was specific, I have seen the M35 screen and it looks exactly like the 03-08 primera screen. for the primera other functions are embedded in that screen apart from map and reverse camera, so am of the opinion he tries utilising his phone which is better a 3rd party unit could make the dash area unpleasant, but what do I know |
toyeoye:Forget it, the map is unavailable for this region. If the screen is specifically for map only, I mean if the screen doesn't have any other function(s) than showing map then you replace it with a 3rd party unit. if it has other functions you utilise your android/Ios device for map function when needed or check if there is room for another unit placement on the dash area |
Not all phones have a locked bootloader, majorly network based phones are those that have their bootloader locked like the verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc. To me it is safer and faster to unlock bootloader and install custom rom or even a stock rom utilising custom recovery mode. Ota too is safe but slow and risky especially in nigeria with crappy network access. Phones are now ever so smart that if you unlock bootloader and try to install a rom not meant for a particular phone, the installation will always terminate, I have experienced it in galaxy Note 2 before. The only warning I have is to ensure you read about the particular rom (Resurrection remix, lineage OS etc) and that particular version bug whether it is stable or not before installing. A bugged OS can damage your phone or render it useless for life |
I nominate HeavenlyBang though his name sounds like a P0rn collection ![]() |
Arrow144:There are no much complaint about the vehicle, I have seen a broken down Hummer, escalade, G-wagon, land cruiser but I have never seen this vehicle broken down. Engine performance, Nissan engines are well built and you have 400hp to do whatever you wish with. wear and tear is minimal, this a solidly built vehicle from Japan though as production was moved from US to Japan. Availability of parts you shouldn't have issues importing parts though the vehicle is not know to give issues but it doesn't share parts anymore with the Armada but with same year patrol and the patrol isn't sold in North America but later shared parts with the 2016-recent armada. In essence what all this means is that we get used part majorly from America when a particular vehicle isn't available in that region used parts (tokunbo) may be hard to source. But you can order from abroad sha. fuel consumption This vehicle is a 5.6L V8 and ordinarily is suppose to be a monster tow truck with capacity for 8500kg but as naija dey nah, don't expect anything better than 15L/100km city driving may even be less efficient. In essence someone buying this luxurious full sized vehicle fuel economy should be his last worries |
CityNGR:I was driving a 2.2 D-4D |
CityNGR:you preach benz so I wonder why you didn't decide to stick with the ML why call xterra and co. Your V6 won't save you when they come for you, but I pray you don't experience it because I did miss your comedy ![]() |

HeavenlyBang:I can't really remember whether I died or not, but let me ask ORUNMILA |
It didn't take less than 2 minutes before the passat caught up with me and this time, the driver rammed my rear continously and I was struggling to keep my vehicle on the road, I opined that if I could smash his radiator, I could make a quick get away. My assailants had something else in mind, the passat driver eased off, then charged at me and rammed me hard at rear left, my front side lunched upwards and right wards, I landed in a gully first, vehicle went airborne again and I saw my vehicle shaking trees both right and left like a wrestling champion about to enter the ring, a downward plunged into the unknown and all I could hear was severe scratches, breaking and slaps from different objects both in the vehicle and outside, after several rock about like the great wheel of texas, I heard a loud thud, airbags deployed and blood made a lovely design on the airbag like a Geisha's gown. I had a broken left hand, blood filled face and a rod stuck ed in my leg, It felt like my head had swollen like a air balloon and I was gasping for breath. I heard sound of people coming down and I can't remember whether I was dead or I fainted, I just didn't move but I was obvious of happenings in my surrounding. someone drag my body from the column and another was saying "he don die make we take all him money" they were saying all sorts until something spooked them and they left me there, whether they got to my belongings or not, I can't say, the last thing I saw before waking up in the hospital was the face of a man with white beards and black hair, he was saying some incarnations in my dialect before I closed my eyes only to wake up in the hospital like a "Kunfu mummy" ![]() |
My village is in a lonely state in Nigeria, has the highest tree crop farmers in Nigeria and the greater % of road vehicles were trucks conveying cocoa, oil palm, rubber, kolanut and a vast other crops to other locations when needed. The town is majorly known as the shoeless wealth because majority of the population were very rich but been that farming is the major occupation there, people seldom dress like they were wealthy, they never show wealth through material things but through their offspring by sending them abroad. The passat refused to come closer and the passenger was now aiming the gun dangerously at my vehicle, I heard a gunshot and I was frightened what came into my mind was the curse Sharon laid on me when I told her I was leaving Canada for Nigeria and we may never see each other. Her parents never liked me and I knew she won't follow me to Nigeria as her notion of marriage was a bowl of ice cream kept in the blazing sun. I came back to reality when I heard stop there, stop there or I go comot ya head, I had already started slowing down and the vehicle was side by side to my car, the armed guy nudging the car for me to park at the kerb. if you an avid follower of weapons you will know that a shotgun was only potent in close range and not far, there were 5 heads, the two I can clearly see were the front passenger welding a sawed off shot gun and the rear passenger passenger with an AXE, this lots were no highway robbers but kidnappers. If you are from my village then you know getting kidnapped is worst than dining with the devil. Knowing they needed me alive and the prowess of my vehicle, I stepped on the throttle after brushing their vehicle to one side, I stepped on the gas like my life depended on it and the vehicle lunched like he'll on wheels, they followed suite albeit late and the rat race began. |
While on my way to the end of the world as that what I call my village due to the drive distance and grass company road users meet along the inter state, the road was fairly good with potholes here and there which makes you wonder whether you were testing the handling prowess of your vehicle. It was a very early Sunday morning around 10am I remembered due to the many churches I passed with vehicles parked outside and the very free highway, the road to my village is known to be extremely deserted but the Sunday made it look like a ghost road, this gave me the urge to increase my speed but maintain a not too high speed in order to avoid potholes of the road. After passing agbabiaka township, I was surprised the road had been well tarred and vehicular movement was non existent, I saw a highlander park a few kilometers away and no occupant close by, the car was locked and I didn't bother. I switched on the radio and started listening to kayode fashola singing about how women should respect their husbands so the husband can respect them in return, I brought the window down a little to listen to the engine sound all was well but something caught my eye at the blindspot of my side mirror a vehicle blazing in all glory with its DRL on, charging madly, my first thought was a benz with a V8 engine in all its glory, I decided to make the challenge a bit enticing, I brought my speed upto 160kmph and enabled my cruise to allow me focus on keeping the car along its line. My main aim was to keep the speed at 160, let the racer pass then I stay on its tail, atleast I had enough momentum to increase my speed even though my 4 banger was only churning out 177hp. The vehicle in question was a few yards away from me when it revealed its identity, a VW Passat B5, the bumper was a bit extra ordinary and I noticed the silver Insignia V8, I saw a passenger in the vehicle waving and I was looking at both my side mirrors whether I had an issue and he was trying to warn me or not, I didn't notice anything neither did I have handling problem. I moved to the right hand side and signalled with my hand for the vehicle to pass me by, the driver didn't and the passenger stopped waving, entered inside and reappeared within seconds with a rod, the road was now a free downhill descend and I looked at the vehicle again and it wasn't a rod, yes it wasn't a rod, my spit got hooked in my throat and my fear was realized, HIGHWAY ROBBERS |
I made a research on this baby once, people who have used it were of the opinion that the diesel engine variant is far better and reliable than the petrol. But no diesel owner were willing to sell, also the diesel cost a fortune to purchase even with huge mileage. The cons they talked about was it's heavy weight which caused increased tyre scrapping, so expect to change tyres often especially the front. Electrical sometimes can be cumbersome to fix. I did advice you stay away from AIR shock except if money isn't an issue. Buy V6 or V8,difference in mpg is negligible. If you buy a good one, it will last and last, my only issue is I hate Nigerian used VW products 80% of them have been abused and have an hidden fault Note The V6 has timing chain issues. Quite prevalent, and unfortunately due to its location (at the rear of the engine) replacement requires the engine and transmission to be removed, and separated, to gain access to the flexiplate, which needs to be remove to acces the crankshaft sprocket. I would go for the 4,2 V8 up to 2008. It's belt-driven, and replacement is so much easier, and it doesn't suffer from worn guides and tensioners as the 3,2 V6 does. Performance is way better than that of the V6 too. |

Captain47:pick the kia Rio as it will still have solid parts which will not need changing. but I take God beg you that particular year engine for the ones bought new in naija have expensive engine and the way owners all it to overheat beats my imagination. just ensure the sample you are buying doesn't have a worked engine. Also the AC compressors of those years are very fragile |
bee4un:Is there abnormal total oil? check the car ensure the oil isn't shortening if it isn't you can try synthetic if that one no short and engine no smoke I guess it is good to say you are safe. what model year and how long has the owner been using it |
Sawzer:The only reason V10 engines are minimal is because due design and balancing of power it's only good for high revs, it's easier to slap in a V12 since its just 2 V6 engine placed in an angle to each other. The same reason why we also have very few 5 cylinder engine makers I think only volvo still stands in that 5 category VW/Audi don run ![]() That high rev is a mad advantage means you change gear less often and can utilise more power at a particular band, just like the launch control of the Nissan GTR @ 4500rpms from stationary position |
seyithug:ok oooo. goodluck |
seyithug:The screen of the xperia Z tablet is not in Ikeja neither is it at Sony centre. Your Z2 is different from the Spg311. Nobody at Ikeja will separate the digitizer from the screen without breaking the digitizer the tool is not in nigeria even abroad they don't change only digitizer they change both. I am offering to do the job at 45k which is fair enough |
