OP forget Ambode, forget about T-shirts, Right now am interested in the well roasted 'bole' in this picture you posted... www.nairaland.com/attachments/2160773_img20150226142451_jpeg93f83a178ff18d3b4d7e12a1759bdef4 |
And his conclusion is just on point: Permit me to close this discussion on a personal note. I have heard and read references to me as a former dictator in many respected British newspapers including the well regarded Economist. Let me say without sounding defensive that dictatorship goes with military rule, though some might be less dictatorial than others. I take responsibility for whatever happened under my watch. |
On corruption, there will be no confusion as to where I stand. Corruption will have no place and the corrupt will not be appointed into my administration. First and foremost, we will plug the holes in the budgetary process. |
Let me assure you that if I am elected president, the world will have no cause to worry about Nigeria as it has had to recently; that Nigeria will return to its stabilising role in West Africa; and that no inch of Nigerian territory will ever be lost to the enemy because we will pay special attention to the welfare of our soldiers in and out of service, we will give them adequate and modern arms and ammunitions to work with, we will improve intelligence gathering and border controls to choke Boko Haram’s financial and equipment channels, we will be tough on terrorism and tough on its root causes by initiating a comprehensive economic development plan promoting infrastructural development, job creation, agriculture and industry in the affected areas. We will always act on time and not allow problems to irresponsibly fester, and I, Muhammadu Buhari, will always lead from the front and return Nigeria to its leadership role in regional and international efforts to combat terrorism. |
This indeed is a great speech for one planing to lead my great country. Quite inspiring. |
Amaechi and APC have bought New York Times with billions ![]() Personally, I don't think they are telling us anything new. Only those in self denial are refusing to accept GEJ as a failed president. Come March, I hope Nigerians will loudly reject failure, cluelessness and corruption and vote for change. |
@barcanista I just saw the other closed thread. I dont think you need to go that far. Truth is when you open a thread like this and even called for it to be put on home page, you should have been prepared for the good, the bad and the ugly. You are very much entitled to you analysis and opinion but those who disagree with you, especially those who passionately disagree with you are also entitled to their opinions both on the message and the messenger. I am not 100% sure GEJ is rooting for ING, but I strongly disagree with the basis upon which you ruled it out, ditto my first post on this thread. But hey, there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics, come up with another analysis and opinion tomorrow and see some of those who disagree with you now hail you and some of those hailing you now call you names...such is Politics...so CHILL bro. Like jaybee3 wrote...the important national assignment now is to get 'cluelessness' and corruption out of Aso rock, anyhow it comes. |
For anyone to think Jonathan has nothing to benefit from ING is beyond being naive. A day they said is too long in politics, how much more 6 weeks. We all know the real reason for the postponement is not about the insecurity in 3 states, it is an attempt to buy more time or a part of a grand plan to scuttle the whole election. Jonathan stands a lot to gain from ING, he wont have to suffer the shame of being the 1st incumbent president to lose an election, and face the risk of GMB exposing his atrocities while in government. Forget about the constitution for now. Amendments can be made overnight. It happened in Zimbabwe and Kenya. If for one reason or the other GEJ succeeds in scuttling the election or creates a problem that prevents him from handling over to the winner, then the National assembly will have not choice but consider ING as a matter of necessity. The opposition has no choice but to be proactive and if possible always be a step ahead of Jonathan. He is certainly not a man that can be trusted in words and actions. The future looks uncertain... But should GEJ suffer the nation this turmoil, I hope he is well prepared for the consequence... I will not speak further. |
Splashme:The tape is already in court... The court of public opinion.... Soon the public will declare their verdict. Watch out. |
mycar:No bro. In Nigeria corruption carries more weight than stealing. We don't even call robbers thieves. Those stealing billions from our commonwealth with those covering them including Mr President are not mere thieves...they are corrupt, very very corrupt, and should be taken out of government, tried and jailed. |
menesheh:He did not say say stealing is good but he belittled it by qualifying it as 'mere' stealing. So all those stealing billions from inflated contracts, pension fund, petrol subsidy etc..are 'mere' thieves...no wonder he failed to prosecute any of them. Yeye dey smell. |
They should just have the election now and let this man lose and go to his Otueke home in peace.... This man will not stop embarrassing us... ![]() |
Obviously our military has been been politicized and compromised... How much more damage Jonathan is willing to do this nation before he leaves office is waiting to be seen... |
I pray Nigeria dont miss this golden opportunity. We cannot afford another 4 years of Jonathan as head of government. |
I agree with most part of the article. |
And Okupe is expecting GEJ to win Kogi by 70% margin. People Deceiving Party... |
LRNZH:Normally, the Home page doesn't promote two threads on the same/similar subject matter at the same time, except the Admin feel otherwise. What I can do is to link this thread to the opening post of the other thread. Will do something about that. |
Next, Madam, I was really embarrassed for you to read that one of the reasons for declining forex reserves is ‘oil theft’. Under you as Minister of Finance and coordinator of the economy, the basket of our national treasury is leaking profusely from all sides. Just a few illustrations! First, you admit that ‘oil theft’ has reduced oil output from the average 2.3 – 2.4 million barrels per day (mpd) to 1.95mpd (meaning that at least 350,000 to 450,000 barrels per day are being ‘stolen’. On the average of 400,000 per day and the oil prices over the past four years, it comes to about $60 billion ‘stolen’ in just four years. In today’s exchange rate, that is about N12.6 trillion. This is at a time of cessation of crisis in the Niger Delta and amnesty programme. Can you tell Nigerians how much the amnesty programme costs, and also the annual cost for ‘protecting’ the pipelines and security of oil wells? And the ‘thieves’ are spirits? Come on, Madam!Omo, this na serious bullshit! I guess if NOI had known this is coming she wouldn't have replied Soludo the way she did.... But then, how could she has presided over this kind of monumental theft and corruption? |
Nna mennnn!!! Soludo is truly a 1st Class material in and out. This is what boxers called knockout. I wait eagerly to read NOI rebuttal. |
Curiously, a section of the stadium, rather than praising the president, started singing “sai Buhari,”hehehehe ![]()

olu4life:Yes, our field workers left the family not too long ago. We will give their report soon. |
@kingolaola We are sincerely very sorry about your sister's condition and we have her in our thoughts and prayers. However, for a number of reasons TeHN has resolved not to officially take up another medical case as these cases always stretch us beyond our capacity, and even if TeHN has to reconsider that stand, we have a lot on our hands right now to take up another case. But whatever we can do as individual members of TeHN to assist you will be done. For more explanation you can mail us at ehelpersnetwork@gmail.com. Please accept our deepest sympathy. TeHN |
segzy14:Thanks. well done. |
scribble:Ebele to you..., I mean goodluck to you. My point is Afenifere does not speak for the entire Yoruba race. |
chukwudi44:We saying the same thing. May be they speak for a much larger populace and may be not, I dont care who they speak for.. But as for me and my Omoluwabi family, we earnestly desire change. |
I am a full blooded Yoruba man. Definitely Afenifere endorsement was not made on my behalf or that of my large family that earnestly desire for change. |
Ishilove:Thanks. |
