This is deep and a very good one from Mr Bruce. |
kelvin100: Firefire:I dont think APC has a hand in this. I think its Jonathan paying Buruji back for being part of the factors that caused his loss despite billions giving to him, and Buruji went about romancing Tinubu just days after the loss. |
Mynd44:Was Ambode ever a commissioner? I think not. |
What education legacy exactly? |
I hope this will produce something meaningful and useful. What I dont support are talk shows that produce nothing or whose output will not be made use of. About time all culture of waste including time waste are done with. Ditto for countless useless senior/special/ordinary advisers of governments. |
If this story is true, this man called Buhari will earn another respect from me. Let NASS decide their own fate and let the best man / the most acceptable among the lawmakers lead. |

Whao! Interesting different perspective of S.A Good one ucheokpara100 ! |
@OP Allow GMB to run his government and work with people he chooses. We all can judge his performance and the people with him after. Everybody (The Good, The bad and the Ugly) has his/her usefulness. It depends on how and where GMB will make use of Tinubu. Dont take Panadol over what is probably not giving GMB an headache. |
Sign of what to expect in the future. Whatever rocks the boat of Deltans. |
Whynotthetruth:Excuse me...are you also saying all that happened under GEJ are just petty stealing and stealing is not corruption? You mean you are still looking for the proof of Subsidy scam, Pension scam, Purchase of armored car scam, Immigration job scam, NNPC unremitted fund, spending of almost $9B on subsidy by NNPC that has no budget approval, all that took place under GEJ administration... |
barcanista:Only those with guilty conscience will feel their peace is being disturbed because an incoming president is telling those who elected him what he is thinking of doing. How is telling us he will take a second look at SLS's allegation of unremitted fund a disturbance of peace? |
barcanista:Buhari is not yet the president bro and he has not done anything yet. He is only saying what he might do or not do. Make una all go kulu-kulu temper till he is sworn in and starts taking actions. I have no problem probing from 1900, but the current thieves caught should refund what they stole or go to jail. Period. Or you want make we wait till older thieves are caught before dealing with the current ones? |
What terms of reference of the transition committee constitute parallel Government? Abeg they should be busied packing their loads now.... |
naijababe:I wonder o! |
naijababe:No subsidy on diesel oooo. And they went to deduct over $9B for subsidy on Diesel and kerosene. Dollars o, not naira. And there is no budget provision for it. If you read through the report, it is as if they just wake up and decide to spend/share whatever they like, and call it anything they like, budget or no budget. And these are expenses in Millions/Billions of DOLLARS; AMERICAN DOLLARS and not ZIMBABWE Dollars o. Meanwhile, thousands of Nigerians are dying of Malaria and poverty every year. This is why IBB claimed he should be called a saint compared to these people. People are wicked! |
This is so annoying.... People are wicked! ![]() |
This is great. Am happy with this development. |
Kai.... No wonder he claimed stealing is not corruption. See wickedness in high places... There has to be a new detailed audit. |
This is very great! |
PointB:Wake up my friend! 1. Even a good number of your people are not sold to your dream. Albeit the possibility of getting it peacefully is very slim and close to non existence. 2. The day a declaration of Biara is made without a peaceful agreement, I expect a good number of your people to abandon their investments and move home else they become the 1st set of casualties. And be informed, the battle will be fought on your ground (as usual) and innocent casualties will be from your land. 3. It is not by force to live together and I am indifferent to separate nations, but no blood of any member of my family is worth the sacrifice as long as I believe my region can continue to develop even with the resent imperfect system while peacefully seeking for greater autonomy. 4. Bro I doubt you have any idea what Asari and some of your are calling for. War is not funny. |
PointB:1. I dont see the possibility of the things you are yearning for coming to be peacefully. Not in the present day Nigeria and not with those who are in control of the center. 2. In the event of seeking it violently / by force; are you prepared for the cost? Both during and after. Apart from the lost of lives, are Igbos prepared to lose all their investments outside Igboland? I doubt! |
kaboninc:Through corruption and conspiracies in high places which I expect GMB to fix asap. |
taharqa: kaboninc:Bro am not talking of loss due to pipeline vandalisation but loss due to oil theft. The figure I gave is the estimate Madam Iweala gave. |
I ordinarily didnt want to join this debate but since Obiagelli has opened a counter thread, I feel there is need to strengthen her argument. Fact is, I believe in this old Bank-PHP statement that 'impossible is nothing' and the common saying 'where there is a will, there is a way'. I believe the likes of Dr. Fayemi and Prof Osinbajo who came up with the manifesto are not dullards and they probably have more access to true figures of things than many of us, and they have strong reasons to believe in the feasibility of these things before making it public. That said, I know without raising new taxes or even doing anything new (and of course I expect them to bring in a lot of new innovations) I know the money expected for these social welfare program can be gotten from the following: 1. Blocking oil theft of 350,000 to 450,000 barrels per day will give us hundreds of billions 2. hundreds of billions lost to corruption from customs duties. You only need to visit any Nigeria port to know this. 3. Aggressive drive towards collecting all taxes accruable to FG as it is done in Lagos, am sure that will also give us hundreds of billions. It might take a little while, but if there is a sincerity of purpose and a strong will to implement these social programs, it is very doable. |
What about PDP? Base on the same sentiments you gave, can we also say PDP is gradually turning to SS and SE party? |
PassingShot:The polling units are scattered across 23 LGAs and not restricted to a ward or a LG. |
Rochas won!!!!!!!! Now my party can start..... ![]() |
Has my next President after Buhari won Imo? I just love the man Rochas.... No homo. |
Obiagelli:Personally I cant blame him. He was between the lagoon and the deep blue sea. While he needs many Yoruba votes, his mission will be helped if he can get all Igbos votes too. It was not easy for him not to condemn the Oba's statement. |
blank:Very true, I heard some Igbos in my family neighborhood at Okota even fear Oba statement will have negative spiritual consequence on them or their business if they vote Agbaje, so they didn't bother to go out and vote at all. While at the same time the whole brouhaha made some Yorubas who wouldn't have ordinarily bothered to vote today or who would have voted for Agbaje were prompted to go out and vote for Ambode just to defeat the sentiment that Agbaje is Igbo candidate, who the Igbos are planning to install as Governor of Lagos to defy Oba of Lagos. |
@Obiagelli Your analysis seems on point. What is suppose to be a blow against Ambode seems to be turning around to be a blow against Agbaje. The sentiments I heard going on suddenly on Lagos street is that Agbaje is an 'Igbo candidate'. Personally am indifferent about the two candidates, I was around in Nigeria during the 2007 elections and I voted for Agbaje then. Except that I wish to see what Lagos can benefit from the center if possible. Lagos has NEVER aligned with the center. So if APC wins Lagos, it will be the 1st time EVER Lagos is not playing opposition. |
