Taiwanese company ,XING Mobility has revealed its supercar named Miss R at the AutoTronics show, and it has been tipped to become the fastest and quickest production car in the world.

Powering the Miss R is an electric powertrain that produces 1,341-hp. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 1.8 seconds, beating the yet to be released Tesla Roadster's 1.9 seconds and McLaren P1 hybrid that sprints from 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and 0-120 mph in 6.8 seconds.

The supercar’s four 350V motors and 1 Megawatt battery pack allows it to reach staggering performance levels of 0-120mph in 5.1 seconds.

XING Mobility tested the vehicle in an off-road setting, revealing its durability, handling, suspension and power-distribution in off-road mode. It also comes with a changeable tire and fender set and an increased ride height. 

The flashy supercar also features a unique immersive-cooled battery pack, which could prevent the car from overheating at high speeds.

Xing Mobility describes the Miss R as the first electric supercar with both on-road and off-road capabilities.

The prototype car was shown at AutoTronics alongside a version with an exposed battery pack.

A Thug who slit his dog’s throat with a carving knife during a row with his girlfriend has been jailed.

David Owen, 40, left a deep wound in Staffordshire Bull Terrier Lexi that would have been fatal if it had been just one millimetre deeper.

Lexi was left with the gruesome injury for four days, which had been hastily patched up, before the RSPCA was called.

Owen, of Netherton, West Midlands, had also sliced at the pet’s left ear, leaving the tip hanging off.

He was jailed for five months by Birmingham magistrates after being found guilty in his absence of causing unnecessary suffering to Lexi at an earlier hearing.

Owen was also given a lifetime ban from keeping animals.

Lexi was taken into the care of the RSPCA on April 5 when inspector Steve Morrall visited Owen's home. 

Amazingly she has since recovered and has now been re-homed to a new family.

Mercedes-Maybach will unveil an ultra-luxurious new concept at the forthcoming 2018 Beijing Auto show in China at the end of this month.

While the 30 second teaser video captioned 'Luxury at its finest' is not too revealing, it shows massive center console with a floating design, indirectly pointing to this being an SUV.

The concept seems to feature four individual seats, aluminum inserts on the steering wheel like on the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet, wood trim across the dashboard and door panels and multiple gold accents throughout.

There’s the white leather, Maybach logos and the ambient lighting, which together create a predominantly luxurious atmosphere inside the vehicle.

The Mercedes-Maybach concept could feature styling upgrades such as a Vision 6 Concept-like front grille, new wheels, heated and ventilated rear seats with massage function, and maybe even a longer wheelbase.

Power might come through the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GLS 63’s twin-turbo V8 or v12, or even an array of mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid units.

Maybach's concepts are the real stunners. Last year's Vision Maybach 6 Cabriolet concept  featured an incredible 18.7-foot-long silhouette and electric motors putting out 750 horsepower.

The 2018 Beijing Auto Show goes live in less than two weeks, April 25th to be precise.

Volkswagen Group has ousted CEO Matthias Müller and replaced him with Herbert Diess, previously CEO of the Volkswagen brand within the larger 12-brand corporation.

The move is part of an effort to reorganize and reform an empire which has motorbike, bus, truck and passenger car brands including Ducati, Bentley, Porsche, Audi, Scania and Skoda.

This is coming nearly 3 years after Volkswagen admitted to rigging 11 million diesel-powered vehicles to cheat on emissions tests, sparking a massive recall, criminal prosecutions and costing the company more than $30 billion in fines, penalties, consumer compensation and legal fees so far.

The Volkswagen also said it will reorganize into six business areas and the China region, which is Volkswagen Group's largest market.

Under the new plan, the company’s passenger-car brands that includes Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini would lose some independence and be grouped into Volume brands, Premium brands, and Super Premium brands.

Under the reorganization, the mass-volume car brands VW, Seat, Skoda and VW’s small vans and trucks unit would be grouped together, creating a car group with €118 billion ($145 billion) in revenue and sales of 8.4 million vehicles.

The Porsche brand would take control of a broader sports-car group that would also include Lamborghini, Bugatti and Bentley. Audi will remain independent as the company’s premium brand.

Mr Müller was made CEO in September 2015 after his predecessor, Martin Winterkorn, resigned within days of the dieselgate scandal coming to light. Müller had previously served as the CEO of Porsche since July 2010.

Mr Müller will remain under contract to the company for the rest of his current two-year term despite his sacking, in a deal that will net him £17.3m, thats about N8.9 billion.

It is powered by two turbocharged, 12.9 litre engines that produce 1,000 horsepower each and the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 54 knots (62 mph/100 km/h).

Long range fuel tanks on the XSV 17 model mean you can travel 806 miles before needing to head to the pumps.

Keeping the boat upright required several tweaks to its design which includes a very low centre of gravity, the buoyancy of the cabin and the cabin must also be completely water tight.

Much like in racing cars, its lower centre of gravity makes it much harder for the Thunder Child to flip over and also helps return it the right way up.

To test the self-righting ability of the boat, the developers used a crane to pull the boat over to 180 degrees while on water to simulate a capsizing situation.

Once upside down, the video shows the boat automatically rolling back to the correct, upright position.

In the first run, the boat was empty and despite being placed upside down with crew inside during the second run, the whole vessel gets back to its original position in a matter of seconds.

There's even a sleeping compartment for overnight patrols. The cockpit is kitted with the latest GPS systems, HD radar, CCTV and night vision.

The Thunder Child which can hold up to ten people is designed for naval, law enforcement and offshore patrol use plus as an emergency response vehicle in dangerous waters.

General Motors was stunned last week after employees stormed the offices of the company’s Korean CEO and smashed it up.

In the video above , dozens of GM Korea workers (who were part of a union that was protesting the company after it withheld bonuses due to financial problems) destroyed all of the furniture and nearly everything else in the office, leaving it a mess. The union was also calling on the CEO to resign.

GM's union accepted the company's demand for a wage freeze and no bonuses for this year, but opposes a proposal to cut benefits as well as its plan to shut down the Gunsan plant.

General Motors has been faced with an increasingly challenging Korean market that has turned elsewhere for vehicles.

The company reported recently that March sales were down 58% year-over-year after they fell by 48% in February.

Late last month, Reuters reported  that GM’s Korean unit could file for bankruptcy by Apr. 20 if the union there doesn’t agree to a reduction in labor costs.

General Motors called the workers’ destruction a “violent incident” that caused “significant damage to company property.”

No one was reported injured, but GM has promised to take legal action against those who trashed the office.

3 US automakers will receive $182.3 million from the restitution fund the former Takata Corp. established as part of its guilty plea for producing millions of defective air-bag inflators that can explode with deadly force.

General Motors will receive $86.8 million, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will get $51.8 million and Ford Motor Co. will receive $43.7 million.

The payouts follow the recall of nearly 70 million Takata air bags, which is the largest automotive safety recall in U.S. history. More than 60 companies in all will receive restitution totaling $850 million.

The Japanese air-bag manufacturer, which was sold to chinese owned Key Safety Systems will pay $121.5 million to Honda Motor Co because they had the most Takata air bags recalled of any automaker.

The faulty air bags have been linked to at least 13 deaths and more than 180 injuries in the United States, and 23 deaths worldwide,most of which have occurred in Honda vehicles.

The older the cars get, the higher the risk. Over time, high humidity can cause the propellant that inflates the safety devices to become unstable and explode with too much force during a crash. That ruptures the metal inflator and throws shrapnel at drivers and passengers.

About 16.3 million air bag inflators installed in 11.4 million Hondas and Acuras have been recalled because of safety concerns. Honda has repaired about 12.2 million of its faulty Takata air bags.

Other models affected includes dozens from manufacturers BMW, Daihatsu, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota.

Chinese Gets 3ft Long Phone Cable Stuck In His Penis After Using It To Try To Stop Itching

Chinese doctors successfully removed a 3.28ft long phone cable from a pensioner using laser technology in northeast China.

The man, said to be in his 60s, thought of inserting a cable to stop itchiness in the urethra that caused by prostatitis, an inflammation of the prostate. 

However, the cable tied a knot in the bladder and caused bleeding when the man tried to pull it out himself.

According to Kankan News, the unnamed pensioner inserted a one-metre-long (3.28ft) phone charging cable into his penis to relieve the itchiness caused by the inflammation.

He rushed to Dalian Hospital on March 30 and sought for medical help. 

Dr Gao Zhanfeng, a urologist at the hospital noticed the cable, measured five millimetres (0.2inches) wide, had tied a knot inside the man's bladder under a scan.

'The knot gets tighter when the patient tried to pull it out. This causes bleeding in the bladder,' said Dr Gao.

The reporter asked the man: 'Did you sterilise the cable before putting it in?'

'I just roughly washed it under running water,' he answered.

Dr Gao decided to user lasers to cut the knots inside and pulled the cable out by sections.

He said the patient was lucky for not inserting any metal or hard materials, otherwise the bladder could be impaled by the sharp objects.

The pensioner said he took the incident as a lesson and would not do it again.

A Tesla on autopilot nearly crashed in the same location where a 38 year old Apple engineer died just weeks ago after his Model X crashed into a barrier.

The video above shows the moment the Tesla starts to veer to the left and into the divider without warning the driver. 

From the video it appears the white lanes were faded so the car thought the left side of the lane was on the right.

In the 2nd video below, another Tesla owner in Chicago appears to have found a similar location with poorly painted lines.

Tesla believes in having eight cameras all around the vehicle and they monitor the presence of the lanes on the road.

The lanes are not marked clearly on the road, so the camera attached to the Tesla vehicle is having a difficult time.

Tesla has now confirmed that the vehicle involved in the deadly crash on March 23 was operating on autopilot at the time. 

And said the driver, who was killed in the accident, did not have his hands on the steering wheel for six seconds before the crash, despite several warnings from the vehicle.

Tesla said its vehicle logs show the driver took no action to stop the Model X SUV from crashing into a concrete lane divider. 

Photographs of the burnt SUV show that the front of the vehicle was demolished.Its hood was ripped off and front wheels were scattered on the freeway.

Tesla said the autopilot has limitations, that it may not always brake or steer as expected, and that it requires the constant oversight of an attentive driver at all times.

Both videos serves as a tragic reminder that drivers need to pay attention at all time and be ready to take over when using Autopilot.

To be fair, the markings are quite bad and makes it look like a lane even to a human at some point.

Tesla also needs to work on this particular scenario since it was recreated at two different locations in very similar circumstances.

Investigators are looking into last month's fatal crash, as well a separate crash in January of a Tesla Model S that may have been operating under the Autopilot system.
