Politics › Re: Government's Wrong Policy Choices Caused This Recession - Pat Utomi by OBAGADAFFI: 3:04pm On Sep 19, 2016
Doyin2:
So can you give us the exact date and time we should have devalued the Naira, for us to have averted recession?

For God's sake monetary policies alone could not have averted recession. The government responded early enough with some fiscal policies like the ban on some imported goods for forex. But unfortunately,we could not avert the recession because of the inevitable importation of Fuel which is the major cause of the pressure on forex today. The FG could not ban the importation of fuel because we were virtually not producing any, locally.

I am stating with full authority that the only way we could have averted recession was if we were not importing fuel!!!!! Is that Buhari's fault?

16years of PDP rule has plunged us into the only OPEC member importing fuel!
There was no serious economic move by the government in the first 6 month.

Please save us these 16 years of PDP rule blame game.

Buhari was Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund under Abacha, what did he do to stop fuel importation.

It was under the same 16 years of PDP rule our foreign reserves grew and we witness economic growth after military rule .

stop the lies, do you know how long we have been devaluing our currency over the years? Let's stop being clever by half. Devaluation was never the best option
Duh,

After all the noise the government still devalued, what they should have done earlier.

Can you tell how many devaluation we have had.

Utomi was one of the economists shouting for the floating of the naira, now he is trying to absolve himself by saying the govt would have done it earlier.

This recession has made me know that some of these economists are not brilliant after all.
Did bother read his comments,

But they said how can we devalue? We will not devalue.

In economics timing very important, if the government had devalued earlier, thing won't be this bad.

But they shamefully devalued using the term floating of the naira, when they realize they couldn't handle things anymore.
Politics › Re: Sorry Lagos, You Don't Have Oil By Ade Damola by OBAGADAFFI: 1:58pm On Sep 19, 2016
davodyguy:
so?

This is just semntics by Damola.

The exploration has begun and crude oil is being extracted and exported, with income being generated.

I'm not sure Lagos borders any of the NG states that would make them wants to lay claim to the other part of the water ways, where the oil can be explored.

All waters ways still belong to the FG.

Some people might misinterpret this, as if there was no discovery.

Get it. There was discovery in the water close to Lagos and as of now, Lagos State has be allocated ownership status of 4 oil wells.

Whether the 200 isobath was fraudulently introduced by OBJ or not, Lagos is now controlled by the party at the centre. With Fashola, Tinubu and Ambode, its only a matter of time, before the 2004 pact is reviewed for the benefit of all.

May be this is the only opportunity for that restructuring to take place. This means more money to the oil producing states. However, the negative part of this possible review is that the governors would probably still cheat the indigenes of the states. Even with 2004 pact, Lucky Igbenedon, James Ibori and Peter Odili, still stole billions from their states. Giving more money to their cronies in government now may spell doom for the people. With the FG having the money, you are guaranteed a good spread.
That allocation is mere political, since there is a law to counter that.

Any allocation derivation collected by Lagos can be reversed.

Education › Re: Hijab: Obey Court Order, Muslims Warn Lagos Schools by OBAGADAFFI: 10:37am On Sep 19, 2016
I don't really like this silent religious battle going on the the SW.

Wearing Hijab or any religious clothing don't determining whether you are less religious or highly religious.
Wearing Hijab or any religious clothing don't determining quality of education.

Very soon this will bring all sorts of agitations and crisis, because other religions will be demanding full recognition of their own mode of dress.

It's time our Apolitical leaders in Yorubaland start addressing this issue before it turns bloody.

I suggest uniform be banned in all public schools and a stanbard dress mode be implemented.

What an excuse from the Minister.
So rice is now poisonous, well every food contains one or more toxins.

The man is simply saying this to reduce Nigerians pressure on rice importation.

And in the above video, the useless woman openly confessed to the world how miserably she failed us so keep quiet, she admitted she failed so I don't need any silly, meaningless and pointless rubbish from you and your kind..
Did you even watch the video you posted?

It seem comprehension is big problem for your likes.

[s]
Her primary mission is accountability and even to start with, she had no business approving or taking part in any fund release not mandated by the Nigerian legislature, the whole exercise was illegal.

I guess we lost billions because of illegal waivers because her ministry was not responsible and accountable for granting them to cronies

I guess we lost billions of dollars under NNPC because she was not responsible and accountable for keeping track of our earnings and making sure every kobo was deposited

I guess she was not responsible and accountable when we lost hundreds of billions for years when she paid ghost workers under her nose

I guess she was not responsible and accountable when she looked the other way while income generating agencies and MDAs pocketed every kobo instead of depositing it into the federal account in her care

I guess she was not responsible or accountable for diversifying our economy when oil was selling for $100

I guess she was not responsible and accountable when she was borrowing hundreds of billions of dollars when oil was selling for $80 and setting us up for financial meltdown..

I guess she was not responsible when in 2014 she told us to get ready for suffering and austerity when oil was selling for $80

In fact she was not responsible or accountable for anything, we just hired and paid her top dollars for making sure every looter easily loot us dry while she looked the other way and even facilitated the looting...

Sometimes I just wonder about you and your kind...[/s]
Where were your likes, when same woman work under OBJ, secured debt forgiveness and increase the foreign reserve .

For information, the discussion on government spendings starts and ends with Politician(President, Governors, and legislators).

Minster/commissioner of Finance don't award and implement contracts outside their ministry.

Minster/commissioner of Finance don't dictate which project to implement to Politicians(President, Governors, and legislators) should approve or jettison.

Minster/commissioner of Finance don't prepare budgets for other MDA's .

Her accountability is keeping is proper documentation and records of all government spendings. And that she has done.

This is how that crooked and deceptive woman played hide and seek to protect herself from prosecution and exactly what this man is talking about..

She new the approval was shady, illegal and corrupt so she smartly abdicated her responsibility and inserted in the letter oversight functions for the money she gave to Dasuki to Dasuki himself and Jona who didn't seek accountability for anything for the 5 years of wholesale looting and stealing he presided over..

It's like giving the armed robber oversight functions for arm robbery...

That woman really fcukkked us up big time and this is the kind of evil and corrupt practices you get away with only in Nigeria...
You probably dont know the job of CFO's .

CFO's don't supervise how money approved by the Board of Directors is spent, they simply approve and keep record for Audit purpose.

It's not JOB Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala or Kemi Adeosun to query or supervise money approved by the NEC or Presidency .

Thank you chibuking and obagadaffi, but can you explain the concept of dematerializing my former stock?
Dematerialize is converting Paper certificate to electric certificate.

Secondary market - Shares bought through brokers .
Primary market- share bought through public offers.

Both category of shares are logged in your names at the company registrar's.
They will also reflects with your brokers.
