Hmmm... if the bombs start dropping and the missiles start shooting up, hopefully the world oil prices will shoot up too; that may be beneficial for countries like Nigeria. |
Sundaypyro247:Hahaha.. this dude obviously watches too many hollywood movies and discovery channel. |
But is this the first time illegal immigrants are being deported?... Why is this one making the news and why should this even be discussed as politics? |
In my opinion, I think this is a meaningless policy. How can the government spend trillions paying people N5000 monthly when the money could be used for more reasonable infrastructural projects?... or are they trying to prove that they keep to their promises? Teach and enable the people to fish and dont waste money giving them fish to eat. |
presido1:You should be able to filter between wheat and chaff... When a politician tells me they will pay 25million people N5000 monthly, I simply know it's election blab. When a politician also tells me Nigeria will have uninterrupted power by 2012, or add 4000mw of electricity to the grid per year, I know that is just hogwash. I did not support the new government because of such flimsy promises. |
presido1:Politicians are politicians bro... It is left for you to discern the difference between real promises and election jingles. |
Forwetinnah:Yes you heard that right... Enough of all these wailings even when next elections are still 4 years away... let's patiently just keep our PVCs safe and wait for 2019 when we shall all re-crown PDP to come and finish up where they and APC stopped. |
anonimi:Oh yes.. the APC change is scam, it was just an election slogan to win the elections. Remember that politics is a game and the smarter player wins... Enough of these weeping and wailing and constant referrals to the 2015 election; the elections are over.... At least Nigerians now know they can remove even an incumbent president. The continuous wailing wouldn't help anyone. Let us now all dust our PVCs and wait patiently for 2019 when we shall vote in PDP again. Nigeria must be better! |
anonimi:Elections are over bro... There are certain things which you should know are just election blabbings... Let's face reality. |
BraniacX:Please I don't have time for that. It was a loooooong torturous journey trying to explain to you guys why GEJ wasn't a good president but no matter what was said, even God himself would have had a hard time explaining to you guys. The entire world could see GEJ's unsuitability, but ONLY the SS and SE could not see it then. Even now, most of the SS have finally admitted to this GEJ's unsuitability but stated the obvious reasons why they still just had to support him; hence only the SE is still yet to see this. Like I said, I don't have the time for that to go back into the torturous details, the elections are now over and God has already helped Nigeria by doing the needful on the 28th of March. For now, I can only hope for things to get better. |
chuna1985:Lol.. Chuna85... No need! ![]() |
BraniacX:You don't want me to start digging up daily gaffes that would even make me feel depressed would you? If when these gaffes were freshly committed, you couldn't see them as gaffes, then I would be wasting my time pointing them out to you now. |
sweatlana:My dear, I paid N250 for fuel in port-harcourt as at the time GEJ was handing over to PMB; within the same week, I also bought fuel for N400/litre in Lagos. So going by your lame logic, PMB has actually reduced the pump price of petrol to N200. @mizmycoli This is the exact reason I always jump in to defend the govt. when people jump in with these kind of lame and false analogies to create distractions. If we must criticise, there are actually lots of reasonable things to criticise. That is the reason I will always respect barcanista, he seems to be the only wailer who comes up with reasonable points (which I mostly never bother to disprove). |
Demdem:The same corruption impediment which exists at the national level also exists at the local level, hence his failure. |
maestroferddi:GEJ would have been a good president if Nigeria wasn't a complex, corruption-ridden society. Buhari obviously has his flaws, lots of flaws, one of which is his obvious stubbornness to take advise. However, I still maintain my faith and focus my hopes on certain qualities which he brings to the table. My simple wish and prayer is for the country to be better. |
MizMyColi:Haha... I believe the history of a person's statements on this site are accessible to all so you can do that assignment by yourself. I questioned the delay in appointing ministers, I questioned the ban on IPMN generators, I questioned the unnecessary denials, cover-ups and general secrecy surrounding the recent death of our soldiers, I questioned the rationale behind PMB's refusal to appoint Igbos (even though I equally blasted the different Igbo groups who kept giving him unnecessary ultimatums on this matter), I also totally share passingshot's views on the poor response of the FG to the current fuel crisis. I dont have to open threads to prove my point, I hardly even open threads on this site. And just to let you know, with just 6 months down the line, I have resolved to allow this government some reasonable time to settle down and watch the direction they want to go before I start throwing my own missiles; unlike some folks I know who irrationally and emotionally started criticising even PMB's height from his first week in office. Besides, most of my pro-buhari statements are mainly 'RESPONSES' to irrational outbursts from jonathanians who are still hungover from election loss and mainly criticise emotionally instead of objectively. Meanwhile, can you yourself kindly show me where you criticised your hero GEJ even upon his multitude of gaffes?... |
swagaholic:Lol... This is simply an insight into the psyche of the kind of people who support PMB. Unlike the 'G-E-J is G-O-D' squad, most of the people supporting PMB (especially from the south) are purely Nigerians who want a better quality of leadership in their country and these people will call a spade a spade. The allegiance is to good leadership and performance, not to senseless and shameless clannishness or religion. PMB has committed several annoying gaffes so far in his first 6 months, but only an irrational 'G-E-J is G-O-D' adherent would wail that a 6 months old administration is a failure (compared to a 5 year long disaster of the past). |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:Jus na jus na dem don put am for Pa Buhari head. ![]() |
drss:How will the denials or the celebrations of the misfortunes all for the sake of politics bring back the dead or prevent further mishaps? |
The Nigerian armed forces (including police) has always been guilty of covering up deaths and injury to their personnel, sometimes I find it hard to comprehend the reason behind these disturbing denials. However, what I find more disturbing is the rate at which everything in Nigeria is politicised, including human lives and national security. Just last year, we experienced this exact same scenario where soldiers are killed or cities are overrun by insurgence. The military authority always denies it and the FG (for the sake of politics) denies it too. Today we are experiencing the exact same thing except that the FG has switched parties. While all these lasted, the Jonathanians last year were on the defensive accusing anti-jonathanians of sympathising with terrorists by denying the deaths. Now the anti-jonathanians are on the defensive while the jonathanians are excitedly praying and struggling to prove these reported deaths to be true. I would not forget in a hurry how the Nigerian military authorities and the government just last year blatantly denied a captured airforce pilot, only for the family of the pilot to cry out later. Today we are experiencing same, and Nigerians will never cease to play silly politics with the lives of people. |
ODUBEZE:Of course his statement is figurative... He's not literally implying that one has to look like an aids patient as proof of diligence. |
Hmmm.... I suggest the name of the city be changed to Iguocha instantly. ![]() |
patrick89:Please feel free and carry on hating and insulting... that's obviously what rocks your boat. |
Saintbonnie:That's not a good explanation. The real explanation is getting 300k for your transport and accommodation bills when you didnt even travel at all. |
dannybomb:The person who compiled this list must be a selective dunce. When GEJ handed over power by May 29th 2015, I bought fuel at N250 in Port-Harcourt and week before that, I bought fuel at N400 in Lagos. The USD-NGN exchange rate was sold at N250 and the pound sterling was sold at N360 as at May 2015. In the same May, the FG had to even borrow money to pay civil servants and about 22 states were owing worker's salaries. Once again, the person who compiled this list must be a compound imbe and he/she should be reminded that next elections are in 2019; it's too early to fool himself in a bid to deceive the gullible. |
Saintbonnie:It's fraud because the money the boss intends to give to him for his hard work was obtained through a fraudulent/insincere channel. |
El Rufai has just revealed a clear and indicting fact concerning African leaders who grow fat and fresher while in office; if our Nigerian leaders are really selfless, know what they are doing and do what they are supposed to be doing, there's no way anyone can get into office and come out fat. That's what Mr Rufai is saying to y'all. cc: Those not-too-smart people are asking him to resign. |
alcmene:As long as his being on wheelchair translates into better infrastructure and better standards of living for Nigerians, that would be a sacrifice he is ready to make. El Rufai has just revealed a clear and indicting fact concerning African leaders who grow fat and fresher while in office; if our Nigerian leaders are really selfless, know what they are doing and do what they are supposed to be doing, there's no way anyone can get into office and come out fat. That's what the short man is saying to y'all. |
EldaTimba:Indeed!... Keep deceiving yourself.. Just the same way political jobbers deceived the world that GEJ constructed the Onitsha-Owerri Road, even when it was less than 1% of the road that was built post-2010. Now If I may ask, what exactly do you even mean by saying "work started" under GEJ?... Very soon, if this present administration completes the 2nd Niger Bridge project, your likes will jump out again and say, "work started" under GEJ. Similarly for hundreds of road reconstruction projects across the SE which were indiscriminately awarded under GEJ with next to nothing paid to contractors and not up to 1% being completed before he left; but of course, if another administration completes the project even in 15 years time, your likes again will scream "GEJ Started" the project. Politics is a continuum bro.... I will give the higher honour to the person who completed the largest bulk of the job. May I even remind you that it was OBJ that built the so called Lagos-Ibadan road in 1979. |
patrick89:Well I'm sorry, I dont subscribe to your crude techniques, but then it's a free world so you are free to reason however you want to. Enhoy your fool's paradise! |

matter of fact I dare you to!
am sure you can't hide behind memory loss or alzheimer's as we live in the digital age and don't use time wasting as an excuse either as some of us would appreciate being reminded why we should be feeling relieved from "terrible governance" then as compared to now
