Whatever the case, I wish and pray the moneys stolen can be recovered and I wish those found guilty would be locked up for life. The greed of these guys has led to the sad loss of hundreds (if not thousands) of our military men, thousands of innocent civilians and trillions in destroyed properties. For all those defending these guys (because their little brains erroneously thinks they are defending GEJ), may God judge you guys accordingly. |
IbokUtoroh:Are you opposing for opposing sake or are you opposing just so you have an opportunity to throw insults?... For how long can you possibly continue to remain in this condition?.... In a democracy, everyone cannot be pleased at the same time, some people want one candidate, others want another candidate. At the end, only one candidate wins an election. In life you win some and you lose some. I understand you are pained that a candidate you hated won the election but for how long will you continue to act like an abandoned lover with a broken heart?... If you want to oppose, why dont you do it sensibly?... You apparently dont want the FG to pay subsidies owed the marketers so the fuel scarcity would continue, you obviously wish your fellow Nigerians to suffer so you get a chance to say 'you were right.' But what sort of devilish reasoning is that?... Are you aware that no matter how you keep hating or praying for evil to befall Nigeria, any evil that befalls Nigeria would also be suffered by both you and your loved ones even while the man you hate still remains the president till at least 2019 ? |
IbokUtoroh:I hope your mannerlessness actually gives you peace. By the way, if PMB doesnt know what subsidy is, isn't that a good reason why he shouldn't be paying it? |
123456abc:Obviously, defence funds were meant to be used to prosecute the war on the terrorists, but the PDP rather diverted the funds and used it instead to prosecute the 2015 election. |
contactmorak:There is a reason why it is called 'national service'... Community service is a thing of pride all over the world, stop being irrationally paranoid and whining like you are the only one with an education. |
Dragonking:...And your wonderful solution is to return Jonathan that put us halfway in this mess? |
Hopefully this will end the current fuel scarcity. But now is the time for the FG to be bold, swallow its shame and scrap the subsidy regime now that the oil prices are still low. N500billion is equivalent to $2.5billion, that figure can build a brand new refinery. |
IbokUtoroh:Well, unfortunately that's the part of the story which APC did not elaborate to us, 'how to determine who falls in the poorest category.' In my opinion, this campaign promise is trash and even if possible (it's not possible), it will be a silly idea in a country like Nigeria to fulfil such a wild promise. |
Good one.. this is the kind of news we should be hearing and not separatist protests or stories of how any region hates another region. But by the way, what do they produce in a coconut factory?... Coconuts or coconut oil or coconut milk? |
Truth be told, the promise I remember was N5k to the poorest and vulnerable Nigerians... Lai Mohammed may be right on this one. Those with opposing views should provide evidence pointing to the contrary. |
Gbam! |
A simple call for orderliness and decorum, but will the wild ones amongst the separatists listen to this? |
I have for the first time listened to this telephone conversation and these are my observations: 1. Contrary to my previous assumptions, this phone conversation sounds pretty authentic 2. This stance of the alhaji is the typical mindset of the average northern elite and the ordinary northerners towards the iyamiri (SS/SE) - There is nothing new or surprising about this. 3. While the rivalry between the Hausa and Igbos have always existed, Yorubas have always remained neutral and only got involved where the events benefits them. From the recording, the Kunle guy obviously did not support the the things the alhaji kept ranting about, but he kept mute in neutrality while the alhaji fired on (I wouldn't be surprised if it was Kunle himself who leaked this recording). There is nothing new that has been revealed from this recording which we don't know; Hausas dont like the Igbos and vice-versa. The yorubas are opportunists who simply take advantage of the spoils of the Hausa vs Igbo rivalry. It is high time the Igbos truly defined who the real enemy is and work towards it instead of 'running away' or attacking everyone. |
olumide81:What is this one talking about?... What is wrong with what Ben has said?... Are you just talking because you think you owe yourself a duty to talk and oppose whatever people say, or are you talking because you really have something to say? |
See their faces, chasing politicians to get money and eventually missing road. Very soon they will tell us these ones are youths ![]() |
justice1000:Sometimes I just cant help but wonder if the people who keep making these kind of comments are humans or zombies. Trillions were spent on defense budgets yet our soldiers kept complaining that they lacked common bullets; hundreds, if not thousands of soldiers have died because those meant to supply them arms obviously diverted funds. Today investigations are ongoing and illegal diversions of large sums are being uncovered yet these are the kind of comments some Nigerians are coming up with? Some are asking which weapons the present government has bought, some are asking the government to forget these diverted funds and move on with other projects... and I ask, with which money do you expect the present government to move forward even when you know the present economic conditions due to oil price crash?.... How can normal humans even reason like this?... What on earth is wrong with the black man?.... If the people making these cringe inducing comments were actually involved in the fraud or if they shared part of the loot, it would be understood. But that is not the case, some zombies just think they are defending GEJ with these silly mentalities they portray; they are obviously oblivious of the fact that it is criminals like this who diverted defense budgets, these are even the guys who ruined GEJ's government. ![]() |
I would have been surprised, how could anyone possibly want to harm such a gentle and peace loving man?... The internet has now become a big danger with the way every nonentity just creates a false or disjointed story and passes it on as news. |
In my opinion, I believe only God can save us from those bombs, though we need to put in some serious efforts.... To also correct a widely accepted misconception: - Buhari gave the Nigerian military a deadline of December to crush bokoharam. - Buhari did not say explicitly to Nigerians that bokoharam will be crushed by December. There is a clear difference between both cases to the best of my understanding, but I don't expect people filled with anger to understand this. I'm sure a lot of them would quote me mercilessly. ![]() http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-33913305 http://www.informationng.com/2015/10/buharis-deadline-to-military-on-end-to-boko-haram-insurgency-feasible-obasanjo.html http://www.informationng.com/2015/08/well-meet-buharis-deadline-on-ending-bharam-insurgency-dhq.html http://www.post-nigeria.com/buhari-to-end-boko-haram-before-december-2015/ |
TonyeBarcanista:You need to understand the potency of 'constant propaganda' in the psyche of emotionally vulnerable people. You need to appreciate what it means for a person to be successfully brainwashed, it gets to a point where the manipulator doesn't even need to be smart about it any more; anything he says would be swallowed without thought. I never appreciated this potency until I started hearing of Nigerian suicide bombers. |
Armaggedon:Jesus Christ! You mean you read what I posted and you still came up with this conclusion that he never implied anything?... How could you with such comprehension ability possibly accuse another of being ignorant? There’s a clamour for Biafra, how do you react to that? The cardinal foundation and ideology on which the present secession movement is based upon is that the progress of Igbos and the SE zone is being hampered by the SW and the North and that the SE zone will prosper beyond measure if it breaks away from 'the zoo' and alienates itself from the baboons in the zoo. In response to this ideology, the pastor says "No man is a failure until he begins to blame others for his problems" and yet someone who calls others ignorant is still unable to deduce the meaning of this response? |
TonyeBarcanista:Whenever I see reports like the one contained in this thread, and I think about the whole secessionist agenda and the way the adherents swallow every rubbish they are told, I simply remember a line in one of Tuface's old tracks (u no holy pass). ...So dem start to use dem head Use am like a dustbin All the problem of the nation dem be dumping, in dem head Slavery will start to set in.... Presently, the angry and brainwashed secessionists have traded any ability to reason which they previously had, they are now very mentally vulnerable and anybody, I mean any idi0t can simply cook up any trashy propaganda and dump it in their heads. As long as it suits their secessionist narrative, they swallow it expressly. I don give up! |
Trentonline again!... how could humans be so petty in their approach all because they know there are many zombies out there ready to believe their trash. Even an idi0t knows that Nnamdi Kanu's radio biafra has a hand in this recording. What kind of ethnic, tribal and religious division are these bastard devils trying desperately to create in Nigeria all because they lost their illegal means of livelihood under GEJ?... These people by all means are trying to brainwash as many as possible to ignite a violent uprising all because their illegal means of livelihood was cut short? Now I'm beginning to believe the whole conspiracy theory that some powerful external forces are hell-bent on balkanising Nigeria in 2015. Even though 2015 is almost up, they are still not relenting. Anyway, such evil can never prevail, they will all be consumed. |
kingzizzy:Be ye informed, there is hardly any nation in this world (including Biafra) which is not a man-made invention; and yeah, before any nation splits, there's usually a heavy toll which we should have in mind, it is not an issue peculiar to Nigeria... I am a south easterner myself but I totally do not share the view that I am enslaved by any other tribe to be desiring freedom; the enslavement which many Igbos suffer is a mental slavery occasioned from post-war trauma and only Igbos can emancipate themselves from that problem. The primary problem I believe we have is of leadership and if you disagree with me, kindly mention the injustices which Igbos face that is not also faced by virtually every other tribe in Nigeria?.... I do not believe that breaking away from Nigeria now with the attendant toll on investments and lives (possibly) will in anyway solve this our primary problem of leadership. So why should I sacrifice my investments all over Nigeria only to eventually realise that I still haven't solved any problem?... Regarding your willingness to lose investments, kindly speak only for yourself. |
The only reason APC is not well represented in the SE is because south easterners willingly decided to banish APC. Under Jonathan, SE politicians were strategically positioned in PDP and they felt they were in good control. When APC surfaced, they refused to join due to the fear of being unable to strategise their way to the top as they did in pdp under jonathan. Hence they labelled APC a demonic party (even though they still ironically argue that apc = pdp). Unfortunately, they never knew PDP could ever lose Abuja so soon. Now shame wouldnt let most of the politicians to embrace Apc. |
Ikengawo:This only proves one thing, it is the PDP that has been responsible for all these atrocities. During the days of OBJ when he allowed only his close friends 'eat', we had these atrocities because a lot of PDP politicians who weren't allowed to 'eat' were angry. Fastforward to the time of GEJ, due to his weakness and nonchalance, every yusuf, tunde and emeka, irrespective of political affiliation or camp was freely stealing national wealth and feeding fat without a single opposition from the presidency. While everyone was feeding fat, the hunger-induced frustration of politicians was virtually absent. But today, PMB has plugged all the holes and prevented even his close friends from 'eating.' Hunger has set in, and with hunger comes frustration and with frustration comes desperation and with desperation comes this criminality. I am not surprised at all that the hungry politicians have resumed killing themselves. Hunger is definitely the culprit! |
Owerri (ebe ngwori) and Enugu (obodo oringo) are my favorite SE cities in terms of infrastructure, cleanliness, social activities, mentality and refinement of the people and peace of mind. I usually had a particular disgust for the twin cities of Aba and Onitsha for their rowdiness and filth; however, my recent trip to Onitsha few months ago completely left me dumbfounded. Whoever says a pig will always remain a pig definitely hasnt been to Onitsha lately. With good governance, ANYTHING can be achieved. I was particularly wowed by the european quality of even the most unimportant roads (all marked) within the city, not to talk of the cleanliness and fresh air. Someone who never went to Onitsha 10years ago will never understand my point. Sadly, Aba is still a dejected huge refuse dump. Abians really need deliverance from useless leaders. |
kingzizzy:Do you know the reason why everyone is scared of war whenever Biafra is mentioned?... It's because Nnamdi Kanu was right when he said no nation achieves separation peacefully. A lot of pro-secessionists naively or should I say 'ignorantly' point to the referendum of Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Catalonia and even South Sudan. What most of these people do not appreciate is the fact that these nations have fought bloody wars for very long; Scotland has been fighting for independence for centuries (they still havent got it), South Sudan fought for theirs in a 22year long civil war, the Republic of Ireland fought for theirs for decades (go and read about the IRA), even in Spain, you should go read about the Basque separatist group. No nation achieves independence peacefully, so if we must fight another bloody war, we must ask ourselves what we are really fighting for, if that is really our biggest problem and if the cost of the fight will be commensurate with whatever benefit we stand to gain. Nnamdi Kanu was also right when he said if Biafra lost over 2million souls in 1967-1970, that Igbos should be ready to lose up to 8million souls this time around if another war breaks out. No sensible Igbo man is ready to do that especially when there is currently no extenuating factor (such as the pogrom of 1967) fuelling a separation besides the fact that we made some wrong political decisions and lost a lot of political relevance from the last election. No sensible Igbo man or woman is ready to sacrifice the trillions upon trillions which Igbos own and control across Nigeria all because we are angry that GEJ lost an election. There is a reason Ojukwu formed the party called APGA instead of IPOB before he passed. |
Armaggedon:Nope, go back and read this again... holysina:Key word to note... "No man is a failure until he begins to blame others for his problems" |
Halleydavid:I'm surprised at this thread. Is there still any sane human on the planet that takes FFK's words seriously? |
Sometimes I don't understand how Jonathan managed to just attract the dullest humans on Nigerian streets as his core supporters. What on earth is the meaning of this thread?... 150 heads of states visiting france for a summit and some imbeciles think the french should send senior government officials to receive every one of the 150 presidents? |
