Zinicc:I only look out for a way forward, does perpetuating the hate really help anyone? |
EldaTimba:Lol... If you want to go by that logic, then you should know that the work started during OBJ's regime. |
patrick89:Are you remotely suggesting that Russia, Germany and the English built their countries by teaching their youths to hate and/or insult other nations?... What history exactly do you want me to go read?.. A history that will justify me going around hating and insulting people because I think they are insulting me? |
ArodeTsolaye: cheruv:Like I always said, na cooperation na him make rice full pot. Without cooperation and strategic alliances, absolutely nothing can be achieved. And when you go for an alliance, RULE 101 states that you have to dangle a bait which the other party desires; everyone has got a price and until you offer them a mutually beneficial deal, you are On Your Own. If you think Igbos can achieve certain things in this nation without strategic alliances, it's unfortunate. It's already unfortunate enough that Igbos assumed GEJ could win an election with only SE + SS alliance, it's even more unfortunate that many Igbos today believe a seccession is possible with the SE + SS leaving Nigeria without firstly defining a mutually beneficial alliance with the SS. No matter how you choose to hate a person or group, there are certain things that can never be achieved without a mutually beneficial alliance. It's a pity that after 45 years since the war, majority of our people are still yet to realise this simple logic. |
Zinicc:Ask yourself a honest question inwardly, since you decided to change and join the bandwagon, has it really helped or added value to you or yours?... Like I always say, when you are insulted, responding to the insults word-for-word does not make you a better person. It may strangely make many to feel better, but fact is that it doesn't add value to your life. Strive to succeed and let your success shame your detractors. Exchanging words with them or doing whatever you think they do only reduces your worth. |
I totally concur with this; the Faleke guy should be made the substantive candidate of the APC in the election. This is very similar to the Yaradua - GEJ case were the Yaradua Hausa-Fulani cabal refused a gentle and uninfluential GEJ from being made acting president and almost plunging the country into a needless crisis. Faleke and Audu had been running around, spending their money on campaigns, and now with the APC being 99.5% sure of winning the election, calling for any primaries now would amount to just imposing a governor in the state. |
Zinicc:I beg to differ, IPOB is obviously working against this purpose by unnecessarily urging Igbos to hate Yorubas and Hausa; I cannot see the link between that and strategic cooperation which I talked about. No single nation built on hate-mongering survives or succeeds. IPOB has now got the world's attention, but I think they are wasting that attention. If only they can focus their attention on the south eastern governors, Reps, senators, ministers, LGA chairmen etc and force them to be accountable and visionary, you would be shocked at the positive effects that would bring to the SE zone. If also IPOB can use its present attention it enjoys to hold the FG by the balls to force some major development in the SE, then that would also have been noble and beneficial. But for all I see, IPOB seems to solely focus its energy on insulting Buhari and preaching hate against Yorubas and Hausas in order to win followers (I may be wrong but that is what I have observed). I see no way in which such an approach can help Igbos across Nigeria. |
dialfa:Millions of Igbos are doing very well all over Nigeria and the world, please speak only for yourself. |
Eddygourdo: EUROBOMBER: ruggedboy01:There is NOTHING that cannot be achieved if a group of people UNITE in a COMMON GOAL. Gen 11:5-9 [5] But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. [6] The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. [7] Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” [8] So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. [9] That is why it was called Babel[c]—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth. With visionary and patriotic leaders in the SE and with UNITY and COOPERATION, a seaport can be built; in fact, there is NOTHING we cannot achieve because the last time I checked, we all still spoke the same language. Unfortunately, the crop of leaders we keep producing in the SE are as clueless and as selfish as they come, and this doesn't even aid unity or cooperation. 2nd Niger Bridge Since I was born, I have constantly heard of Igbos clamouring for the 2nd Niger Bridge (2NB) from successive administrations and it has always been used as a bait to hoodwink the Igbo nation by every single administration. So far, only GEJ came close to actualising that promise, but then, he still treacherously had to wait till 2015 elections to start the project. Furthermore, in the signed agreement for the 2NB, the proposed bridge will be tolled for 25 years when built because it is a public-private-partnership (PPP) and the FG supplies only N30bn for the project. A Now let us carefully examine this project, for the past at least 20 years that Igbos have clamoured for this particular bridge, are we saying a regional cooperation of the core Igbo speaking states could not finance this project even if it is on a PPP basis?.... I know it is not ideal for states governments to take over FG responsibility, but if we carefully peruse historical records, never have I heard that a state built a federal road for instance and the FG did not pay back. Even at the height of the conflict between GEJ and Rotimi Amaechi, the FG paid back every dime which was spent by RVSG in constructing the Rivers State section of the PH to Owerri Road. That is a systematic way in which states have forced some federal projects in their domain, unfortunately the Imo state government did not think of it this way, hence the Imo axis of the PH to Owerri road is still a mess. Seaport Now there's been a lot of back and forth politics going on concerning the siting a seaport somewhere in the SE or at least, resuscitating one of the seaports in the old eastern region. I strongly believe that if we had visionary and selfless leaders who know what it means to be leaders, together with cooperation from the SS leaders, we should have been able to force out a functional seaport in the eastern zone from the successive federal governments. In the event of a failure of the FG to comply, a regional cooperation between SE and SS leaders (governors, Senators, Ministers, Reps etc.) can definitely force the FG to give an approval and a seaport can be built even if it's on a PPP basis. Unfortunately, we only have leaders who go to Abuja as hustlers with the sole aim of lining their personal pockets, and when the blame eventually comes to them, they secretly deceive the youths that it is tribal/regional marginalisation from the other regions. |
NgeneUkwenu: stinggy:Politics aside, the problem actually precedes Jonathan and Jonathan's government achieved a lot in reducing this fertiliser scam. Hopefully the new agric ministry would do more to eliminate it. |
dazdilijae:Kindly reconfirm where you got those figures for APC and PDP from. Definitely not from INEC or any known media house. APC is presently leading with about 41,000 votes not 65,371 as you figures suggest. |
Hehehehe... God help us! |
snailspeed:Lol... I am only replying you because I am sitting idly in a boring journey. I'm also replying you because I am actually fascinated by your adamant nature even as you continue to commit the same blunder over and over; you strongly believe the whole world is wrong but you are right. Like I said earlier, you must be very exhausted now, after a good refreshing sleep, you will most likely figure out where you are getting it wrong and you will be shocked (and amused at the same time) at how you couldn't even spot your little error for this long. By the way, if you really think this is politics of apc vs pdp, dont you wonder why your PDP colleagues have not come in here to support your argument?... Maybe you can try to invite them by cc'ing some of the notable ones. ![]() |
SupremeCommanda:It's actually a very disturbing development; the rate at which they wish destruction and pestilence upon Nigeria is frightening. Some days back, I saw a video posted on facebook about an ambush on some soldiers; probably some Congolese or Cameroonian soldiers (cos they inaudibly spoke in French). One of the soldiers was weeping uncontrollably over the dead bodies of some of his colleagues even while his other colleagues were trying to pull him away. The poster of the video erroneously assumed it to be Nigerian soldiers and shared the video with a comment wondering what could make a soldier cry so uncontrollably like a baby. The cringe inducing comments that followed the video gave me the shock of my life. Comments from IPOB sympathisers and members (identified by their signature Biafran flag or picture of NK) all followed a similar pattern, they all expressed joy and excitement at the continuous killing of the 'Zoo' soldiers. They actually prayed for more of the decimation of the 'Zoo' soldiers by Boko Haram and advised Igbos in the military to withdraw and return home. I couldn't just fathom how normal humans could be so brainwashed and indoctrinated to be so diabolically insensitive and senseless. As a matter of fact, I see no difference between the IPOB zombies and boko haram, its only a matter of time before their devilry begins to manifest. |
snailspeed:Lol... 49,953 is total number of 'registered' voters in the areas were election was cancelled; it is not the total number of 'accredited' voters. Have you considered, what if only 30,000 of those have PVCs? Out of the 30,000 that have PVCs, what if only 15,000 came out on election day and were accredited?.... You cannot just add the full 49,953 to the number of votes and then start comparing side-by-side with 'number of accredited voters.' Not all of the 49,953 were accredited. If this isn't still clear to you, then I suggest you sleep over it, maybe your head would be cleared by tomorrow. ![]() |
snailspeed:Now you want to force me to go into even more details but I dont have time for that for now cos I'm on the move... But are you aware the 49, 953 represents the total number of registered voters in the 91 polling units (in 18 LGAs) where election was cancelled?... Are you even aware that the 49,953 includes both people who haven't collected their PVCs, people who didn't come out to vote and people who actually came out to vote?.... I have made it clear to you that adding the 49,953 to the number of votes is an invalid approach but you still insist that you know what you are talking about... I have made it clear to you that Channels TV made an error by just blankly adding those figures but you still insist that Channels TV did the right thing?... Why dont you visit the INEC website or other websites to get a proper breakdown instead of relying solely on this snapshot from Channels TV? http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/193724-inec-declares-kogi-governorship-election-inconclusive.html |
snailspeed:I knew you would do this, I knew you would still come back to expose more of your ignorance in public. You have 10 votes, 3 were cancelled, and in your peculiar wisdom, you are adding the 3 to the 10 instead of subtracting it?.... In fact, I apologise for attempting to point out your error to you. You know what?... you are actually correct. INEC and APC wanted to rig and they didn't know how to calculate simple mathematics so they presented silly results. Kudos to your highness for spotting this glaring error which the entire INEC, APC and even PDP were too dumb to see. In fact, I propose you go for recruitment in the CIA for being such a SMART detective. Haha.. ![]() |
Dannyset: irondome: irondome:It's really pathetic, I knew he would still not give up ![]() |
zendy:Nothing is impossible, but some targets are more easily achievable than others. Now which do you think is an easier and a more achievable target?... 1. A return of the regionalism (50% resource control) which Nigeria practised before the war 2. Secession of the SE + SS (assuming the SS would agree to go away with the SE) Just like it has been rightly pointed out by several great minds, cooperation is the only way forward. With the sheer multitude of people who have come out to protest for secession, just imagine if the subject of those protests was redefined to suit the desires of both the SS and SW (regionalism)?... The entire southern Nigeria would be agog and when Nigeria is held to a standstill, 2/3rd majority or not, regionalism can definitely be achieved. For any major cause to be achieved, regional cooperation is the key and some compromises have to be made. Unfortunately, the SE believes it can do it alone, a lot of pro-seccesionists today even erroneously assume that the SS is interested in leaving Nigeria with the SE and have without due consultations or permission, forced the SS into the Biafran map. How some people arrive at such conclusions is a mystery to be discussed another day. |
snailspeed: boujaye: chrissbidi: snailspeed:@snailspeed The Nigerian educational system is bad, but it isn't as bad as we might want to paint it. The irony of the matter you raised and your accusations of the other lad is that you aren't actually as smart as you think you are. Next time, you should slow down on the insults and seek for understanding before you proceed to attack people's intelligence and expose your own ignorance. Now to the topic, Channels TV obviously did not present the results in a clear enough manner for people who aren't too intelligent to understand, so neither you nor the people you insulted can be blamed here. Now a little explanation: Total Valid Votes = 459,983 Total Rejected Votes = 21,351 Total Votes Cast = [Valid Votes] + [Rejected Votes] = 481,334 After elections, results in some areas were cancelled... Total Cancelled Votes = 49,953 Now this 49,953 cancelled votes are a part of the Total Valid Votes (481,334). So using simple arithmetic approach, we should be subtracting the 49,953 from the Total Valid Votes and not adding it to arrive at 531,287 (like Channels TV has done). I hope I am clear enough? |
zendy:Just like I've always said and will keep saying, the SE, SS, SW and a good chunk of the NC wants regional autonomy. The only zones that are against this are the NW and NE. However, the NW and NE are NOT RESPONSIBLE for the non-actualisation of regional autonomy; rather the foolishness of the southern zones in putting aside their flimsy differences and uniting in this purpose of fighting for regionalism, this foolishness is the reason why regional autonomy has not been achieved since 1970. Just my little contribution... |
Udmaster:This is the exact widespread paranoid mentality that has held down and arrested the development of the South East zone since 1970 when the war ended; persecution-complex and victim mentality. The problem is a problem of the mind. |
Goldencollins:Accept my sympathy bro... Don't worry you will get your dream job soon and maybe your reasoning will return to normal. |
2 Things... 1. Only someone who is unemployed or underemployed can afford to litter the streets for hours protesting for a 'Change of Name' with a believe that it will automatically change his fortunes (even though he's doing nothing else differently). 2. Only a man whose mental reasoning ability has been twisted by hunger can fall for the farce that 'ndi ofe mmanu na ndi awusa' are responsible for bad leadership in the south east of Nigeria. |
viviangist4:Could that be Mr Collar'wole in the brown shirt? ![]()
|
Obviously, only the young, hungry and/or confused ones are in support of this IPOB madness.... I am yet to see any respectable Igbo man or woman that's in support of these misguided ones and their ill-thought agitations. |
Rumour has it that he actually woke up ![]() |
..And guava bellied Amaechi poses for the camera... ![]() |
Firefire:Haha.. you carefully wiped off the other bits of my message you quoted, very typical. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/157886-1-8-million-nigerians-enter-job-market-yearly-says-okonjo-iweala.html http://www.bellanaija.com/2015/03/03/okonjo-iweala-fg-has-created-1-4-million-jobs-in-3-years/ http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/155214-present-evidence-1-6-million-jobs-created-nigerias-unemployed-youth-tell-okonjo-iweala.html Kindly explain these amazing statistics churned out by NOI even as recently as March this year? |
Now the wailers are going to wail haaaard They believed NBS figures under their hero, they believed when NOI claimed over 1 million youth jobs were created in 2014 alone, but now the same NBS has started revealing some positives under the new administration, in a commando like fashion, they have instantly pounced on this thread, I can already see firefire, mizmycoli, severe-anus-ape, francizy and the rest of their crew wriggling around like fresh fish that was removed from water ![]() But on a serious note, where does NBS even get these their statistics from? ![]() |
Some idi0ts were already spreading rumours in the SE (Aba specifically) that kanu has been killed and buried all with the devilish intention of inciting urchins to violence chaos. |
Haha... What a title! ![]() Now more wailers can rush in and f00l themselves... |
