asanausana91: so every candidate has his account number? Invitationn: Lol. Why is Obi raising funds separately? Why are the 'other candidates beside Peter Obi' not putting out account details separately to raise funds for their campaign? Every candidates are welcomed to give out their account number, there's no law against it. What's most important is the popularity of the candidates and how much they can raise based on their popularity. |

omenka: Here you go excusing this obvious error once again. And you think these are serious people.
So, Peter Obi plans to operate his campaign OUTSIDE the control of the party under which he's running? Isn't the party the body responsible for handling campaign funds, especially in the absence of a campaign council/Committee?
Why has it become an intractable problem for Obi to constitute a campaign committee? If he can't do that in someone thing as tiny as a political party, how much more difficult are we to expect it would be for him to organise a country?
Peter comes across as the type that feels ONLY THEM can do stuff right - the know it all and trust no one type. Peter doesn't delegate, it must be him. And in governance, this is a very terrible attribute.
No matter how you guys flip this, it is a misnomer and a bad call. Peter Obi and the Labour Party mustn't do things the way APC and PDP do things. Setting up campaign committees is a very expensive and corruption prone exercise, most especially the way PDP and APC set up theirs. So I see nothing wrong in the LP/Peter Obi campaign strategy thus far with regards to funding. |

satelliteDISH: But why will the party give out account number knowing fully well that Peter Obi will later give out a different account number. I think someone is trying to play a fast one or maybe their is a lack of effective communication between them on this matter. Labour Party has other candidates besides Peter Obi. |

It would seem the Labor Party heeded the advice from legal experts. I just went to their funding website and it was well coined. Foreigners can donate as long as they are Nigerians OR have a place of residence in Nigeria. See screenshot attached:

omenka: Isn't our downfall (political) what you're desirous of? Shouldn't you rather encourage whatever we do that could lead us down such a path? Or aren't you a Peter Obi supporter?
What exactly have you people ever demanded of Peter Obi? Which amongst the things you've demanded of Jagaban have you demanded of Obi? Jagaban isn't the president yet you guys want to have him held to account evenore than the president himself.
Ask Obi questions as well. What's sauce for the dove should also be sauce for the pigeon. There are issues I have with Peter Obi which I'm vocal about...although not here on nairaland. But I will create a thread about it soon enough. But this thread is about Tinubu being more actively involved in the daily campaigns. At the moment, Peter Obi is actively involved so that's why my focus is on Tinubu. |

FaceTanke: I don't like it when people lie just to score cheap political points
Why lie
Is that a treadmill
Why call a bike a treadmill for God sake Why don't you address the substance of the thread just like how Omenka, Seunmsg are doing? P.S. You are right, technically it's not a threadmill. But I chose to call it a Threadmill Cycle because Threadmill is a popular term and using Bike might confuse some people to think its an actual bicycle that's stationary. Even google understands what I meant when I wrote Threadmill Cycle. |

omenka: We don't need his haters to look for another point to talk about. There's really nothing they've not thrown at him, from his looks, his health, his religion, his family, his wealth, his tribe, his influence, etc.
What exactly is there to talk about besides these? They can keep talking for all he cares. Don't let pride lead you guys to your downfall. Don't underate anyone, even the haters. It's best to trash out those seemingly valid points the haters are raising, especially if it's something you can easily trash out. My candid advice. The undecided voters are listening/watching. |

seunmsg: Let’s get serious here, there is absolutely nothing Tinubu can do at this point that would satisfy his haters. People who have been hating on him since 2013 when APC was formed won’t just stop hating because he granted interview or attended debate.
Before the APC primary election, Tinubu went to almost all the states in the country for consultations and the events were well reported in the media. Campaigns just started about a week ago and there is nothing to suggest that he won’t go all over the country to campaign like he did before the primary.
Election will take place in February and not next week. There is no need to rush things at this moment. The campaign structures are currently being put in place and when everything is set, Tinubu will lead his campaign train all over the country. OK great, the moment Tinubu gets actively involved in the daily campaigns, consultations, meetings, he will have succeeded in trashing that talk about him not being mentally and physically fit to lead Naija out of its numerous problems. And at least his haters will look for another point and won't talk about his health. |

seunmsg: Let’s get serious here, there is absolutely nothing Tinubu can do at this point that will satisfy his haters. He doesn't need to satisfy haters, he needs to convince undecided voters that he is able to be mentally present the whole 4/8 years of his presidency. And he can only do that by being actively involved on a daily basis in the campaigns. |
Politics › The Hilarity Of Tinubu's Threadmill Cycle Video by Obinoscopy(op): 7:42am On Oct 04, 2022*. Modified: 8:00am On Oct 04, 2022 |
Tinubu is no doubt a top contender for the 2023 presidential election. He is a top contender because he is running on the platform of the ruling party and because he is a very astute politician that has built a political dynasty for himself.
However, there has been concern about his health and whether he is healthy enough to lead the country for 4/8 years. I believe he is constitutionally healthy/fit to be the president. However, Nigeria is in a dire state and requires a leader who will be mentally and physically able to tackle those numerous challenges the country faces on a daily basis. Hence that's where my concern lies. I believe that's the same concern lots of Nigerians have. If Nigeria were the USA or the UK, I wouldn't bother about the mental/physical capacity of Tinubu because I know he is healthy enough to rule. But unfortunately, Nigeria isn't.
So the health concerns are valid in my opinion. What I would expect Tinubu to do is to prove to us that he is mentally and physically able to lead the country. Riding on a treadmill bike will not address those concerns. We need to see him actively involved in meetings, campaigns, consultations, interviews, debates, etc on a daily basis. That's the only way he can prove to Nigerians that he will be actively involved from day one once elected. Riding a treadmill or bicycle or lifting weight won't address that....it's a laughable attempt to deceive Nigerians. |

Here's the post: And then my second ever post was in the Health Section a year later: Obinoscopy: if u are truly a pharmacist u shld know that the HIV Virus cannot be killed by a mere coconut oil which is just a supplement. The virus which is basically a DNA integrates its DNA into the host cell. Thus 4 u 2 kill d virus u must kill d host cell which tantamounts to kiling d patient. The only thing u might say that i would beleive is that taking cocnut oil could elongate the lifespan of the patient by improving his/her immune system |

Hi nairalanders, let's challenge our brains on a daily basis by playing the Wordle Game. Wordle is a web-based word game created and developed by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle, and owned and published by The New York Times Company since 2022. Players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word, with feedback given for each guess in the form of colored tiles indicating when letters match or occupy the correct position. So the rule is simple, play the game and share a screenshot of your score. Do not reveal the word of the day until the following day!. I will start first so you can see how it's being played before this thread will be featured on the frontpage. Click on this link to play: https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.htmlOk, let the game begin!
