noblezone, when you talk of anambra state and edo state and oyo state etc, you should realise that OBJ is more responsible for what happens at the centre and not really at the states. the PDP of those states should take responsibility for their own actions. OBJ will take responsibility for what happens in the centre. and in the centre, nigerians can be happy that they have someone responsible as the next president. you guys should question the local PDP authorities for what happened in the states.

i often wonder when people will begin to understand that we as a nation are making progress. never in history have we had a civilian to civilian transition. we are about to have one. never in history have we had great judicial success as in the run up to the last election. never have we had a senate president (3rd in line to the president) prosecuted, chief police officer prosecuted, corrupt governors pursued all over the world down to UK.

Never have we had it so good in communication, freedom of speech, improved international image. when will people realise how much has been achieved in the last eight years. people like atiku were stopped from being president, for once we have a president elect that everybody believes has no history of corruption, we have technocrats in the presidency, people of integrity everywhere
after all this hullaballoo, OBJ retires to his farm, why can't nigerians be patriotic? why do we expect to be like US in 8 yrs.

people say our democratic institutions are not strong enough but are being influenced by the presidency. what do we want as nigerians? a democratic set up which allows people like dariye to loot and be free, atiku can steal and be president, alams to steal with pride, ibori will loot with heroism etc should never be left untampered with nonsense. say what you like, this is nigeria, if the systems dont work, we'll work it out. dont tell me about voters and the right to vote, many voters are ignorant and may vote based on sentiments such as tribe/religion so it is better we have someone who will live above board.

like it or leave it, the last 8 yrs were great for nigeria and we must be proud that we've had a civilian to civilian transition and that we must htank OBJ at least for maintaining democracy. after all if the army overthrew OBJ all those in opposition today will be somewhere else under military rule

let me tell you this, whenever there is high level corruption, u need drastic measures to uproot it. there is a corrupt governor to be removed, the panel to do so are corrupt, the judiciary is corrupted, the legislature is the same, where will the war against corruption begin.
have'nt you guys noticed that all the complaints of the "victims" of the anti-corruption crusade is about the method of remova from office. none, repeat none has complained of being innocent of the charges. when these things happen, the intenstion is to deliver a message to the governors( who we must all agree have become demi gods in thier states) and the message is this-you are not untouchable. the highest level of corruption is among the governors. okonji-iweala could bear witness to that.
