Distinguished members of this thread I bring you good tidings. happy Sunday first of all . Last week Thursday, i installed 2200wp of PV (it was a causal job for a company at ajah so I went in alone which I have never done before for PV capacity above 350watt)at lekki mehn deep down, I have made up my mind not to be involved in that kind of installation, they wan use work finish me During the installation when I was trying to drag up the 3rd solar panel, I lost balance which almost cost us that solar panel and my life , but thank God I prevailed . Some how, my effort has been rewarding even though I didn't get well paid enough I was able to get insider information on the panel distribution. This are for the dudes on this thread that loves tier 1 solar panels, I was doing a comparison with other brands of solar panels. Seems it's the pricing that will distinguish them I will update you when I get full details on their pricing for their solar panels.

So, I decided to get a 1.6kva 12v inverter and get a single battery, just for light and charging of laptop. I will get another battery when I have more money, dats when I plan to start using fridge and washing machine on it Okay then. It's a good plan. Everything should go smoothly then. Good luck |

No. Its from my experience at technical college, I already left the field 5yrs ago For the door frame, You will need to drill holes through it then cut a groove along it.(It's inside the groove that the iron reinforcement would stay you can use 3/4" or there about thick ones) Am trying to explain, but it's a long process I will try to send a sketch |

Rany4all: Good day everyone. I've been considering something similar to the first door attached below for my front entrance door, but my concern is how to make those glass panel areas more secure. The door will be made with HDF boards reinforced with steel plates.
The question now is whether it's possible in Naija to embed steel protectors in the door frame in front or behind the glass panels, just like the second door below? Thanks in advance. This is possible. It's either they are attached with screws on the main wooden frame (that's for the ones not close to the wall. The frame at the wall can be drilled with the iron passing |

Nteogwuija: I think the AC SPD should make sense because I was surprised how the lightening didn't affect the charge controller, because I felt it came from the solar. My thought now is that since the strike affected the inverter, it most likely came from the mains. So I think it makes sense to put an SPD between the mains and the inverter. This is just my layman thought process. Yes one ought to be at the input side. But am thinking of using another at the output as well. This protection thing be like trial by error. |

My only contribution on this hybrid matter is , If your hybrid inverter spoil, bring am make I use am Dey learn work . Nteogwuija: Thanks for the response. But is it possible to install earth in a rented apartment? And I also learnt that an effective earthing can be very expensive, reason why most landlords opt for the less effective ones. Aside the cost, the Question is how many people have the test equipment to achieve a good Earthing. I am just coming from where they sell test equipment, test equipment are expensive. Earth megger 200k? I was told 95k some months back and I felt it was expensive. Yes you can install one in a rented apartment |

Nteogwuija: Guys, pls how do I prevent my set up from thunder? About 2 weeks ago, there was rainfall and it came with thunder strikes which affected my 1ka inverter, which is currently undergoing repair. I have bought DC surge protector and breaker. But I'm still feeling this might not be enough, cuz someone told me that I can have these accessories but if the house isn't earthed properly that they won't work.
Please what measures can I take to secure my setup from the effects of subsequent thunder strikes?
Thanks for your responses in advance. Go and get an effective earth. Your earth resistance should read about 10-5 ohms for residential purpose and 0-5ohms for industrial applications. But that aside, Recently I was thinking about this lightening strike. And I came up with this hypothesis I was thinking what if I include a AC SPD to the output of the inverter too( reason is most lightening strike are likely to come from the AC side.) Meanwhile it's just an hypothesis . |

Emmanuel909090: Never ever,I repeat , "NEVER EVER" people are so ungrateful, and once they feel they can do it, then you loose value.
Their is the new trainee in my firm, they want him to learn directly from me, because they always say I do it best.
The young lad I was teaching with my whole heart once told me, he is going to take over from me like play.
But me I don't joke with such things, that was when I started teaching him rubbish .
Now he knows a lot of rubbish. Have you taught of when you grow old ? Do you still think they will not lay you off? Accountants and developers has this fear . If you are a mechanic there is no way you will be afraid that someone will replace you (obviously you already know you will be replaced so you have embraced it by teaching people how to do it properly) then you subcontract. E get one diesel engine mechanic my coursemate works with, Na so the company he used to service for wanted to boycott him, they called the supplier of the engine, a new Volvo engine and the supplier told them if that guy can't fix it then they will have to buy a new one. After them compare cost Na so them Melo go back to their vomit baba come add to the bill |

Nothing is hidden under the sun. You tell them, you no tell them baba if they will sack you they will still sack you.
When they sack you, they will still get the job done and you will have the whole software to yourself.
The reason people keep hiding stuffs is you are trying to prevent competition and still remain relevant, but staying relevant has a lot to do with management.
You are working in an audit firm, my friend stop thinking is a piece of software that would make you relevant.
Management and partnership is what makes you relevant (I am speaking from experience of the inner cactus).
Them go just use work kill you. Share it so that everyone is self reliant. |
